Single Dad Sundays: A Dadchat Compilation

Rate this book
KnotMyProblem: Guess who’s back, b*tches?!
TeenDad2: Who??
KnotMyProblem: US. Duh.
TeenDad2: Oh.
TeenDad2: Where did we go?
GlitterDoctor: It’s complicated, TD. I think this ties into Knot believing we’re characters in some book
KnotMyProblem: I’m telling you, if you just GOOGLE IT you’ll see what I’m talking about
Gwynning: In situations like this, it’s best to humor him
xVerity: Knot is referring to the “new book” of ours that features our Single Dad chats.
xVerity: Not that I necessarily believe we’re fictional.
KnotMyProblem: Well, I sure as sh*t don’t think we’re fictional, either, but there’s definitely evil afoot. Do you see the way the chat is suddenly censoring my language? You can’t tell me you set up some censor-bot
xVerity: I haven’t.
KnotMyProblem: SEE
KnotMyProblem: I’m telling you, there’s an author out there who’s orchestrated all our suffering. You can keep burying your head in the sand, or you can JUST SEARCH THE INTERNET and see that I’m right. Your call
LoveHarley: why is it such a bad thing if we’re in a book? even if we were hurt before, we’re happy now
TeenDad2: HARLEY!!
TeenDad2: hi
LoveHarley: hi TD
KnotMyProblem: Well… yeah, you’re right
KnotMyProblem: But I just—
KnotMyProblem: WHOA WHOA WHOA. Do you guys see who’s typing???
TeenDad2: PiperScott!
LoveHarley: hi Piper
xVerity: Well, this should be interesting…
PiperScott: In June 2019, following the publication of The Answer, a group of authors banded together on Facebook to celebrate the completion of the Single Dad Support Group series, and in doing so pierced the veil between fiction and reality. Every Sunday following that, readers submitted questions for the Dads to answer via social media. Single Dad Sundays documents those questions and their answers, and includes five never-before-seen chats that’ll have you laughing your *ss off.
GlitterDoctor: Hmm, it’s even censoring her
KnotMyProblem: BECAUSE THIS IS A BLURB. We’re back in a new book, just like I said
TeenDad2: We are back!!
TeenDad2: How exciting!
PiperScott: Get ready for off-the-wall banter, tons of glitter, a heartfelt moment or two, and…
PiperScott: Placentas
Placenta-Bot: [placenta.jpg]
KnotMyProblem: F*********CK
KnotMyProblem: I CAN’T EVEN SWEAR RIGHT
KnotMyProblem: I’M SO DONE
KnotMyProblem: KEEP YOUR BOOK, I’M GOING HOME
TeenDad2: Bye knot! Hi internet! I hope you love our chats
xVerity: I’m not sure whether congratulations or condolences are in order, but whatever the case, they’re yours. Enjoy the book, and please don’t mind Knot. His bark is worse than his bite.

Piper Scott

Piper Scott debuted as a trio of authors looking to write together for fun. Their collaboration led to three novella-length books (Love Me, Save Me, and Keep Me,) before life sent them in different directions, leaving just one author with an omegaverse plot bunny that wouldn’t leave her alone. Obey was born several months later… but the plot bunny never left—it multiplied.

Left to her own devices, Piper Scott writes scorching but heartfelt contemporary omegaverse romance about men you can’t help but fall in love with.

Also writes under the pen name Emma Alcott.

It was so much fun to catch up with this amazing group of characters! I had missed them very much. I liked the format of the book. I always loved the chats between the single dads. The chats were entertaining, funny and heartwarming at the same time. And I think that the narrator did a brilliant job bringing this unique book to life!

I will never get enough of this series. This book requires knowledge of the base series as it is an additional supplement. It is so much fun and had me in stitches for hours. Highly recommended for fans of the guys and their shennanigans. Michael's narration is once again sublime.

So funny!!!

This was a hilarious bit of fun that helps with the book hangover after having finished the previous books in the series. So worth the laughs, though I won’t lie, I’ll miss the Single Dads.

OMG, I needed that! I don't know if I've ever laughed for an entire story before! The perfect punctuation for these guys -- thank you Piper Scott and all your guest chatters!

Independent reviewer for Gay Romance Reviews, I was gifted the audio file of this book.

This is book 7 in the Single dad Support Group series, and it CANNOT be listened to as a stand alone. You NEED to have read/listened to the other 6 books, for you to get the whole story about some things that are talked about here. And you know, they are all, bar one, 5 star listens! So, get to it!

This is a collection of conversations with the guys, prompted by questions from readers.

And they truly are glorious in showing just how much this group of men mean to each other!

It's the little things: Every time Harley pops up, TD is like "HARLEY!" and every time Knot starts to tell a story, it starts with "It was a dark and stormy night . . ." Lots of little things, that amount to one big bundle of fun, love and some surprisingly deep moments, that kind of threw me slightly since I did not see those coming!

We get to catch up with what's going on in the lives of these men, and their plans for the future.

It's very much a FUN thing, and I walked to and from work for the better part of a week, giggling my head off and pulling funny looks from passes by, but HEY! I don't care!

Another wedding would have been nice, complete with all the obligatory metric f88k-ton of glitter, and although there is some news here on that front, another baby before the end would also have been nice. But I'm a greedy biatch, and I always want more, especially when I am so very invested in the lives of these men!

Michael Ferraiuolo narrates, as he did the whole series.

And he nails it, he really does! All the voices are consistent across the whole series, for all the guys.

I cannot fault the narration, at all!

I loved this, and I really am sad to see the end of these guys, I really am.

5 stars for the book

PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:
A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series
from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series)
it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year),
it's like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok)
It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the
whole line, dismissed, repeat the class

Audiobook Review:
Overall – 5
Performance – 5
Story – 5

Perfect for fans of this series!

I can’t think of any voice actor I’ve listened to who could pull off what Michael Ferraiuolo has done with this audio that is nothing but chats between numerous characters. I loved the audiobooks of this series and one of the most fun parts was the different chat sessions sprinkled in among the actual story. It’s amazing to me how Michael can do so many different voices and make such a smooth transition between each one. It truly felt like I was listening to an actual conversation between all of the guys and not listening to someone read their chat conversations.

The other special treat was hearing the author chat with the guys near the end of the book – I loved it! Now having said all of that – you really need to have read or listened to at least one of the books in the series to understand what is going on in this book; it’s not a standalone.

A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me at my request but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.

The boys are back in town (or should I say the dads…?) (an audio review)

I loved Piper Scott’s Single Dad series and when I heard there was another book, I was stoked. Now, I’m not great with social media, so I hadn’t known about the Single Dad Sunday chats. I’m so grateful Piper decided to create a compilation and put them out there – and especially that she and Michael Ferraiuolo collaborated on this super cute book.

Can I just say how much I adore Michael’s narration? He’s super talented and I enjoy everything he does. But these books? With so many characters? Well done. I would never be able to keep all the voices straight, but he does and does it brilliantly.

I enjoyed the little vignettes into the dad’s lives. Seeing how they may (or may not) grow their families. See how they continue to support each other. See the love that continues to abide the group. I’m sorry to see the series end, but I enjoyed every moment of it and laughed my *ss off. See, Piper, I can swear too!

**Audio Review**

The SDSG chats never fail to make me smile, and this compilation had every bit of the snarky hilarity that I was expecting. Michael Ferraiuolo did a fantastic job narrating their shenanigans, and I continue to be impressed by how easy it was to tell each character apart without context. These chats didn't have an overall storyline or much of a continuing narrative, instead broken up into shorter snippets of Q&A from fans of the series. I loved how self-contained each topic was, and it endlessly amused me how a simple question could spiral into something totally unexpected. With plenty of glitter references, overly-dramatic storytelling, and snarkiness, these guys entertained me for every bit of their weekly chat sessions and left me in goofy giggles more often than not.

**I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this book. This review expresses my honest thoughts and opinions.

I wanted this audio so badly and was waiting for it so much. I love this series and every character in it - and add to the mix Michael's voice, and done, perfection.

I can't imagine how hard it was to make this audio. I mean all those different voices and everyone was here at the same time... so bravo to the narrator, he did an excellent and amazing job with this book and the whole series. Knot is still one of my favorite like ever, he is the funniest and the cutest.

Oh and that little surprise at the end, the author, Piper Scott was there too, it was fun.

loved listening to it. I recommend it but it's more enjoyable if you read the whole series first, you will get all the inside jokes better that way.

Single Dad Sundays is very entertaining and should be enjoyed at the end of the series. I love the Single Dad Support Group series and this book was just a lot of fun. After listening I wanted to start the entire series over again. The series definitely goes up near the top of my favorites. I love how this book was put together with questions from outside the group and having the Dads answer them. I recommend this series.
Narrator Michael Ferraiuolo does another amazing job. I don't know how he kept all of the characters' voices straight but I always knew who was talking just by their voice. Amazing!

I am so happy that these chats were collected and made available for everyone, but to truly enjoy them, you need to have read the six previous books in the series. The chats were funny and sweet, with the goofy shenanigans, inside jokes, and strong friendship that I expect from these group of guys. I laughed at their banter and enjoyed visiting with all my favorite characters. The audiobook was narrated by Michael Ferraiuolo and he did such a fantastic job with it. Plus, there was a fun cameo made by Piper Scott herself that was a fun breaking the 4th wall moment.

4.5 Stars!

They're back! If you're fans of the SDSG series, you definitely need this one! Catching up with all the guys and laughing at their antics was just a perfect way to spend an afternoon. It was fun, sweet, and a little over the top, just like the series. Just a great way to wrap up the series!

Enjoying it with Michael Ferraiuolo's voice and his fantastic comedic timing, just made it even better for me. And we even got Piper Scott's cameo, which was definitely an added bonus!

Highly recommendable, but you totally need to read the series first!

**Texting and Chatting**

The Dadchat Compilation Book 7 of the Single Dad Support Group answered some questions that were not answered in the series. But some were not because the chatty group took off with their own stories and derailed the question/questions that were being asked. Yep, you guessed it, I’m sure from the title but it’s sort of a question and answer chat with their friendship still going strong. This whole series has been wonderful. I hope you take the time to read it. I hate to see it end. 5 stars ⭐️ continue to be given. 💜

It's hard not to pick up a bonus epilogue, but I don't think this one was super satisfying. Mostly a lot of back and forth among the series' characters that's just silly and doesn't necessarily give you further insight into their stories. Naturally a lot of reader questions involve more babies for the characters, but even those don't really tell you much more than you already know.

Pure Gold!

The Single Dad's are hilarious, snarky, wise, and profound. I love that I now have their conversations in one place that I can re-read as much as I want or when I need a dose of Knot's irreverence!

Love the Single Dads

I wasn’t part of the group when this took place so I’m thankful it was preserved into a book to go back and read. Love the single dads and am sad to see them end. Hope to see them revisited in the future!

What a way to finish a series

You need to have read the other six books to appreciate the talents of Piper Scott.

Her ability to have these monologue conversations, text chat, seriously I would love to explore her mind and see how she works. These books are hilarious.

To then end the series with questions from her Facebook fans, ingenious if not mad, but hell, it worked. I laughed all the way through this book, 3 hours remembering the other books in the series, thinking I needed a reread.

Well narrated, clean and clear. Michael Ferraiuolo was a joy to listen to, even he must have got confused at some point at which character he was, fast-paced and he did it perfectly.
I sped up to 1.40 on Audible, which is typical for me.
