Kate Stone has always lived for romance. From the time she was very small, waiting for her Prince Charming to come and take her away, she has looked for the healing, redeeming power of love.

She drinks far too much coffee and loves sparkly things. She's convinced she survived breast cancer because she was unwilling to let tiny little cells tell her when to die. The chemo may have helped, too.

She lives in New England with her long-suffering husband and their four children. She spends her days as a graduate student and her weekends writing.

This book sucked. There was no real romance here. The bad guy was obvious and the heroine was obnoxious and the hero was just pathetic. The writing was stilted. I didn't enjoy any of it from start to finish. Yikes. I'm normally not this harsh but this was disappointing. Could've had potential.

Kyle was at a bar wanting to get drunk he is suffering from heartache his now ex girlfriend dumped him she told him that he wasn’t good enough for her wow he thought that they had a future together, suddenly a hand clamps down on his back it was Starke an old college buddy and he owns a private security firm and Starke gave him a card he told Kyle to call him about a job and that it is good money so Kyle gave Starke a call the next morning. Suzanna is a actress she broke up with Lane Fox he fooled everyone into thinking that he was a good guy but Suzanna knew better he is a narcissist but only around her so Suzanna announced on Twitter all the details on him and while she was talking to her manager there was a bang on her front door and when Suzanna looked down she screamed her lungs out because on the floor was a severed head. When Kyle meets Suzanna Richards he couldn’t take his eyes off her she is a very beautiful woman and Kyle believes that he is in a world of trouble with this woman. That’s all I’m going to give you guys it’s a fantastic read and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Kyle is ignoring his phone an trying to drown his heart break in booze when in walks a friend he hasnt seen in years.Gary Starke they were friends in high school.Kyle went off to the military as soon as he could.Kyle has a lot of mental scars his parents never had time for his they never showed him love growing up.He seems to pick women that Don t give him closeness .When Gary offers him a job in personal protection hes not sure but the next day takes the job.He never expected his first job to be Suzanne a famous actress. He tries to get out of the job but is told no,after he meets her he wants to protect her an make her his.There are so many twists and turns to this story will keep you riveted until the very last page and leave you begging for more.I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and makes you feel their emotions and their pain.I can hardly wait to see whats next by this multi talented author.

He is ready to be her bodyguard and guard her body he does

Kyle is the first book in the Starke Private Security series by Kate Stone and it is a fast-paced and fun novella. The story is about Suzanna, an up and coming actress who has a "little" problem. Actually make that a big problem in the form of a stalker. Thus enters Kyle into her life. Kyle is a a bodyguard for Starke Security and boy does he guard Suzanna's body well and in more than one way. One look at lovely Suzanna and he will do anything needed to protect her from her stalker. But the stalker is not about to give up quite that easily.

This story is nicely written with an easy story-line that has some drama and suspense to it. The characters are well done and they chemistry between Kyle and Suzanna is good. All in all I enjoyed this short and sweet read and would recommend it to other readers.

This book is about a budding actress named Suzanna who is trying to make it big in Hollywood but suddenly has a stalker who is terrorizing her. A man named Kyle is hired to be her bodyguard. I really appreciated the fast pace of the book and rather short length because I don't always have much time to read, but it was a little too easy to figure out who the person was that was after her. In this case, it might have been better to add a little length to bring in more possible suspects so the book would be more of a challenge. Still it was great to read about the instant attraction Suzanna and Kyle had for each other, so there was some romance added to the suspense. That's what makes books like this my favorite genre!

Hollywood is another world

This is a quick story about Suzanna and Kyle. She's an actress, making her way to the top, and he's just been employed as her bodyguard.

There sure is a bit of craziness in this one! And she should be so relieved to have met him. Obviously, you don't always know who you can trust, and who really has your best interests at heart.

There are some sweet moments, and some interesting twists and turns. I just wish there would be a sequel to this. I'm dying to know what could happen next!

This short story is book one in the Starke Private Security series. This short story was chalked full of details and great characters that will leave you with a goofy, sappy smile on your face as you read the last page. Meet Suzanna and Kyle. Suzanna is fending off another stalker and hires Kyle. Once these two meet there is much more at stake then Suzanna's privacy. Will both of them put their hearts on the line? This story has a few twists and turns to keep this fast paced story moving. I look forward to reading more of this series. Enjoy!

This was an awesome book that I really enjoyed. The story and characters grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn't stop reading. I loved the characters and watching them grow together, they were well written and went well together. I found this book amazing with great word building making me feel apart of the story and watching it unfold in front of me. A definite must read for any fan and I can't wait to read more from this author!!!

A short and quick read. This is the first book in a new series, Starke Private Security.

In this story we meet Suzanna and Kyle. Suzanna is dealing with another stalker and has hired Kyle for protection. The story line is well written and pulls you in, the characters are well developed and you'll find them easy to like. Add in some twists and turns that keep you turning the pages and you have a great story you'll enjoy reading. Can't wait to read more in this series.

I am looking forward to see what happens next in this series as Kyle was surprise delight.

This is a quick story of Kyle struggling to get over the wrong women, and finds himself protecting someone he never saw coming. Suzanne, an actress who put her trust into the wrong person is now finding safety in the right person.

The characters are real and you relate to what is happening if you give up on yourself.

This is a great fast read that left me wanting to know more of their story.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters were interesting. Once I started I could not get enough from start to finish with twist and turns and adrenaline rush and excitement that run wild with the crazier people in Hollywood so Suzanne ended up hiring a bodyguard. Kyle works for a security firm, he is gorgeous, alpha male, big muscles.

This is a really great story about Kyle and Suzanna. Suzanna is an actress and is being threatened. Kyle is hired to protect her and find the person who is out to get her. But all is not as it seems. And those you think you can trust may not be trustworthy. Really great quick read and keeps you guessing through out the story. I look forward from more from this author.

Good idea, but the romance is simple
It’s a short romance mixing romance and investigation. It’s well written, including the investigation, but at the same time a bit slow to the beginning although there is a mystery about who wants to attack an actress, Suzanna. Then the link between her and Kyle develops in a way, but she remains simple and quite cute.

Superbly written with a real sit on the edge of your seat story line that is witty, funny, and action-packed with suspense, twists, danger, and more. The characters are likeable; the chemistry between them is instant, potent, and off the charts. It is a really exciting read and is definitely recommended!

A quick enjoyable read.

Know what you are getting: not a long story but the author does an amazing job of filling in all the gaps so that it is not full of holes while also not rushing too much.

I felt that the author had the ability to convey some depth to the personalities of the characters, despite the length of the book, bringing a greater sense of reality to her story.

Read this book in a few hours with a cuppa, was a good little read, I did guess who the culprit was by about chapters 5 or 6 I think, only reason for my marks was felt tiny bit rushed at the end, definitely had potential to be a longer book or maybe even an epilogue to see how the characters ended up would of been good, still recommend reading good lil mystery.

While I really liked the main character, his depth was rather shallow, as were the other characters in the story. While the plot is good, there could be more substance to the actual story. Even though I read every line, it felt as though I were skim reading. I realize this is a short story, but I wanted more meat and potatoes. I'm not even sure if there is a real love scene in this story or if it remained in the character's heads.

This was an enjoyable, fast to read book, and I thought it was well written. The foreshadowing is genius. I did think Kyle thought of Vicki - his ex - a lot, but it also made sense in context. Suzanna was good, and I felt bad for the betrayal she went through. At least things seemed to work out in the end. I will be looking forward to the next book on the series.

This was a quick, entertaining, instalove, bodyguard story. It was a bit high on the predictability scale and low on the steam factor, but I’m giving it 4 stars anyway because I really liked Kyle a lot, even though his background issues seemed untied to his relationship with Suzanna.

Meh, this is a basic body guard story with less romance than a jewelry store commercial. The main characters are vanilla, the villain is obvious, and the action cuts away before it gets good, and for a “romance, there is only one chaste kiss. Book is fairly short, seems like author was mostly interested in pumping out as many books in the series as possible. Entirely forgettable. Pass
