(This book was previously published with the title "Fae Encounter".)
He always followed the rules. Until she broke them.
Marc Kincaid must convince a rival werewolf pack that their worst nightmare is about to become reality. In order for their species to survive, the packs must form an alliance .To win them over, he has to play their games. But he runs across an unexpected glitch—a bonnie Fae lass with curves capable of unmanning him and a stubborn streak to match. His response to her is instant and hungry, and makes him burn for more than just survival. But she's not a rule he's willing to break.
Bronaugh Lane has been fighting her dark Fae nature her entire life. Giving up control is not in her character. If she did, she would lose everyone she cares about. So when she meets a werewolf with the hard muscles of a warrior and a soft Scottish brogue, her intense yearning for him is disconcerting. She should keep her distance, but her lusty nature is her undoing, nearly messing up her plans to get close to the Texas pack, because Marc is her only chance at infiltrating their den.
And then the game changes. There are no rules now.
L.E. Wilson writes Paranormal Romance starring intense alpha males and the women who are fearless enough to tame them—for the most part anyway. ;) In her novels you'll find smoking hot scenes, a touch of suspense, a bit of gore, and multifaceted characters, all working together to combine her lifelong obsession with the paranormal and her love of romance.
Her writing career came about the usual way: on a dare from her loving husband. Little did they know just one casual suggestion would open a box of worms (or words as the case may be) that would forever change their lives.
Lattes and music are a necessary part of her writing process, and sometimes you'll find her typing away at her favorite Starbucks. She walks two miles to get there, to make up for all of those coffees.

Ah sigh. I freaking love The Kincaid werewolves. I loved the first book in this spin off series, To Covet The Fae and I loved this book. There is just something about a Scottish brogue that gets be every time.
Marc is going to Texas to warn the pack about the dark fae. Bronnagh is fae that has been battling her dark tendencies for awhile. She is looking for her family and thinks following Marc is her best way to find them. Marc knows someone is following him even though he can't see anyone. There is a lot more going on in the Texas pack than what meets the eye.
I loved this story. There is a whole lot going on but I enjoyed every second of it. I love how Wilson writes her books. I love that there's so much happening. I never want to put the book down. I can't wait for the next one!
**I received a copy of this book from the author.**
I don’t usually read paranormal romance about the fae. Reason? It tends to get a little complicated for me. I don’t have a lot of patience when it comes to complex worlds, and author descriptions of fae realms tend to get too intricate for my liking. (What can I say? I have a short attention span. Sue me.) But I made an exception for this author because I read her Deathless Night series, and loved it. I also read To Covet the Fae and reviewed it on our sister site. So reading this book was a no-brainer for me. An auto pre-order. And I’m glad I did.
I love a story about star-crossed lovers (but not so star-crossed that they end up dying...I’m looking at you, Romeo and Juliet). Marc and Bronaugh are star-crossed because of the hatred that exists between their two species and the coming war. Add to that the fact that Bronaugh is a dark fae (the dangerous kind of fae known for killing werewolves), and their attraction to one another is made all the more complicated.
I liked that Marc and Bronaugh didn’t fall instantly in love. Instant attraction? Yes. Love? No. Their relationship developed at a somewhat realistic pace, which is a refreshing change from most paranormal romances.
The plot was interesting and unique, too. I won’t give anything away, but I will say that what happens to the fae at the hands of the werewolves? It’s not something I’ve ever seen in another novel or series, which is HUGE. (I mean, I’ve seen pretty much everything, y'all. I read A LOT. Things that make me stop and say, “huh, that’s new” don’t pop up much.)
Negatives? Well...I once had a boss I didn’t care for that was named Marc. Every time I read the name on the page I had to force my old boss’s chubby, sweaty face and comb over out of my head so that I didn’t throw up during the sex scenes. Thank God for the hot cover dude. He helped with that tremendously. But I suppose I can’t really blame the author for the name choice. She had no way of knowing about my old boss. But I digress…
In short, this is another winner from an author I enjoy tremendously. Get thee to your Kindles, folks….
This was not a good book for me. It has a very stubborn and extremely annoying female lead. Also female narrator was not very good especially with the accent.
**Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book.**
A war between races is imminent and enemies become lovers.
Marc has been tasked by his alpha to visit a rival pack of werewolves and try to garner their support. A battle against evil fae is coming and it will take every able paw and fang to fight the creatures. Just when Marc arrives, he smells something strange and wonderful in the air. He can't see her but he knows she's there. A fae and one whose scent is unique to him.
Bronaugh isn't looking for a mate, no matter how much her mouth waters at the sight of Marc. She needs to find her family and can't afford to be found out by the same wolves who hunt her kind. Even if she did decide to give in to the undeniable chemistry between her and Marc, she knows he will never accept her dark fae blood.
But the choice is taken out of their hands when Bronaugh finds herself in danger and the only way Marc can save her is by defying his alpha's orders. It's a battle of willpower as our couple try to find a solution against almost impossible odds. And even if they do find a way to be together, there are still several threats looming, including Bronaugh's own fae blood turning against her.
At the end of the first book, we were about to prepare for war against the soul-sucking fae. Our werewolves had made a plan to reach out to the other packs and try to rally together. In this book, we see our wolves attempt to do just that, but it doesn't exactly go as planned. Whereas this story is in an entirely different setting, the level of suspense is still there and kept me flipping the digital pages to find out what happened next.
I loved both of our main characters. Marc may not be the alpha in his pack but he's definitely a strong wolf and gained my respect quiet easily. He was stern when he needed to be and kind when it came to the fae "lass" he was falling for. Bronaugh was a tough character and willing to do whatever it took to survive and help her family escape. I loved her spunk.
The passion between our couple was instantaneous but not insta-love. It was more lustful than anything for the first part of the book. There were small moments of heat that continued to build until the fireworks finally went off. After that, the love scenes were frequent and so steamy that I was glad I was alone while reading them.
As for the plot, it doesn't necessarily move along very much in this book but the ending sets us up for the story to continue to get thicker. This is one of those series with a different couple in each book but one steady plot throughout. I was a bit jarred by some of the situations in this book, though. Whereas the first book had several life-or-death moments, this one had a few more cringe-worthy scenes. My stomach rolled the first time we were introduced to the rodeo. It was very intense.
In closing... I'm looking forward to seeing who is next up to find their mate and when the war will begin. Four suns!
Marc is sent on a mission to try and get the Texas werewolves to align with his pack when the Dark fae are released from their prison. Keegan seems to be a fair alpha until Marc learns what the pack is doing. They've captured two fae women and are using them in a horrendous form of a rodeo. Then Marc meets Bronaugh. She's also fae and is trying to rescue her family. Marc is torn between wanting to complete his mission but also wanting to help the women. When Bronaugh gets captured it becomes a game changer. He finally realizes she is his and he will do anything to rescue her. Great reading.
I'm giving this one 3 1/2 stars rounded up to 4. This is certainly a series that improves as things go on. After book one I was left a bit confused and as though a lot of things just hadn't been addressed. Some of those were actually dealt with in this book, which certainly helps. There was not the feeling that things were just left and the book itself felt far more rounded and complete. I don't know if I will continue with the other books in the series. I might go to some of them in the future, as there are certainly some lose ends and other storylines that I would like to follow through.
The fmc annoyed the fuck out of me in this one, man. Her being all mad at him for not, like, breaking them all out or whatever, when it was quite obvious they ALL would have been killed if he had… also, the characterization of the Austin wolf pack, especially the alpha, confused me. So… apparently he’s a good guy… except for the fact that he brutalizes fae women..? One of whom is apparently is mate..? Anyways. I will try to read the next one purely for the sake of figuring out what the fuck is going on with that.

This one I gave a higher star just because it was slightly better. There was more to the storyline and more of a story than the first (and part bc I actually knew what was going on)
There are some abuse triggers so if you have issues I'd say maybe pass. I didn't think it was too bad but I mean there's some shit that's going on.
I dived straight into this after finishing bk 1 To Covet The Fae, and OMG so freakin fantastic! I love the Kincaid wolves!! So hot and so protective. The storyline moves pretty quickly, with some drama, action and a twist or two. Onto book 3!!!
Personal Preference Rating 3/5 🌶🌶️🌶️ Audiobook (SribD) I really didn’t like the female MC. She frustrated me quite a bit and it was hard for me to get through some parts of the story. I still enjoy the overall plot and the writing style so I think I’ll give the next book a try.
Not as good as the first book. Marc is sent to Texas to warn the pack of the fae breaking through and see if they'll join them in the battle to come. Instead he finds they've captured a small group and are keeping them prisoners for entertainment.
Great book. Loved the first one...but loved the couple in this book. Dying to read the next book and get find out what the prince wanted bronaugh to do!!!!
I couldn’t get enough of the Scottish brough throughout this book!! I also couldn’t wait for Marc to pull his head out of his arse but you understand his dilemma. Can’t wait to read more!
He’s a werewolf and she’s a Fae . But he knows he has to have her . His mission in Texas is to convince the Texas pack to help him to get rid of the dark fae !
A spin-off of her Deathless Night series, the Kincaid werewolves are preparing to battle their enemy-the dark Fae, after being informed that not "all Fae are evil"! But not all were packs are in agreement so problems... Ms. Wilson pens a fabulously woven story filled with many twists and passion, angst, and well--you need to read it and see, but it's fully worthy of this reader's 5 stars. Loved it!!
Great read. Loved the female lead Bronaugh, strong women deserve a strong man called Marc. Though sent on a mission to unite werewolves packs against a comming evil he is waylaid by the scent of his mate. Easy. Nope shes one of the hated kind. Managed to read this book through the craziness of Christmas and again last week . Great characters great plot can't wait fot the next book
In Fae Encounter, we meet Marc from Cedric's Pack in Texas. He has gone there to warn them that the Dark Fae, the soul suckers, are coming. Keegan is the Alpha of the Texan Pack, his Second-in-Command is Jace, and there is also the half-breed (but what is the other breed?) Stone. Whilst he meets with them, he keeps smelling Meadowsweet flowers, which remind him of Ireland. Bronnagh has been following him, in the hopes that he will lead her to where her family is being kept. Her luck is in and Marc does exactly that. However, in doing so, they both realise just what the Texas Pack is up to. Now Marc has to get his head around the fact that his mate is a Dark Fae, rescue the captive Fae, plus try to save the alliance that Cedric wants. It's a tall order, and something's gotta give.
There is a lot going on in this book, and I'm not actually sure about Keegan's role. In some places, he seemed to be a 'good guy', in others it was like he letting Jace run the show. Now maybe it was a case of giving him enough rope to hang himself, I guess I'll just have to wait and see. There is still so much to come with this series, but I'm happy with how this particular part of it ended.
Very well written, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt the reading flow, Fae Encounter introduces you to new characters that you will thoroughly enjoy, whether you like them or not. Some characters are mentioned but never met, so I'm hoping to learn more in the books yet to come. Absolutely recommended by me.
