Each story is like a piece of a wonderful puzzle. I liked how the stories are independent and yet by the time you've read the last one you have a good understanding of what has happened to Darling City and who are the main players. My favorite stories were: Hovel, Obituary, Nonnina, The Clown, and Zlotnikov.

I really like short stories. I think the writers all did a great job. My favorites were Swept Away and Nonnina.
