I think it’s amazing that there’s a book celebrating female sexuality from a Christian perspective and for that, I would have given it 5 stars but some of the content is factually incorrect, shaming or just a little weird...

“His sperm needs to be in contact with your vagina to ensure that they recognise each other”
I’m sorry what?

There was a paragraph comparing people who’ve had sex with multiple partners to a “disgusting” piece of used sticky tape (we all know the example) and it says “having multiple sexual partners has exactly the same effect of destroying purity”.
What’s really the disgusting thing here is not a piece of sticky tape, it’s the fact that the author thought it was okay to put this in a book about “a positive perspective on female sexuality”. It enraged me reading that

However if I pretend that section wasn’t included, for the most part the book was actually pretty good and empowering and gave really good advice for how to raise children to be okay with their sexuality. I would recommend any woman to read this, so long as they can do so critically and expect that they will take some gems from it, but discard some trash at the same time

Love this book! Great tips for how to introduce sexuality to kids even from a young age to not make it weird and also loved all the reminders about how to keep things alive in your marriage. Love the author as well- she is an amazing woman!
