I had enjoyed Book #1 which was the introduction of the Sutton Adults - Holly and Patrick Sutton and then Holly's meeting of Eli Barrett who turned out to be her dad – Nicholas Sutton’s competitor and her brother's business partner and also Eli and her brother had a side career at Club Solitaire as Dom’s. I found Book #1 easy to read and I loved the character of Holly. As I enjoyed Book #1 Blood, I was looking forward to Book #2 and with a title - Heist. I thought this was going to be just as good or even better. However, for me this one I struggled with as it took me in increments over three days to read which is slow for me but I got about 57% through the book, so I decided to persevere rather than give up. I did manage to finish it and it was a good read with a bit of predictability when the true villain was revealed near the end. Book #2 tells the story of Patrick Sutton and Austin Yates. There has been chemistry sizzling between the two and it looks like things are heating up between the pair as they become Sub/Dom partners but then Patrick is accused of stealing the Pumpkin Diamond and pulling a major heist as the diamond is priceless and Patrick has the most motive. He hires Austin as his lawyer but soon, the relationship between client/lawyer starts to muddy especially with their extracurricular activities at Club Solitaire. Patrick is quite a stubborn and prideful Dom which frustrated the hell out of me as Austin was only trying to do her job and there were plenty of times throughout the book, that I was screaming "Get Over Yourself Patrick and Grow the Hell Up". To me, Heist by Ivy Nelson would be considered a borderline 3Ps read. In saying this I am going to be continuing with the series and looking forward to discovering Garrett's story and getting to know him better, as he has been a less prominent character in the series to date.

This series just keeps getting better!

I honestly didn’t think I could love another story as much as l loved the first book in this series, Blood, but here I am, blown away by the plot and characters of this story! Having read Blood, I wanted to know more about Holly’s brother, Patrick, and what kind of person he was. I knew of his feelings about his dad and his drive to be better, but I needed to know what else he was made of and I definitely got that and more with Heist! The relationship he jumps into with Austin is a little crazy and spur of the moment, but matches his personality perfectly! Austin helps bring him down to earth, while he gets her to be more open and accepting of herself, making them just all around super compatible! This dynamic creates the right amount of energy and heat! These characters are more serious than Holly and Eli were, which is refreshing and to be honest, sexier.

While reading you become aware of Austin’s capacity for caring and loyalty. It is completely obvious that she isn’t aware of her own worth and that is why Patrick is so good for her.

Hands down, I love this story and this couple! Sorry, Eli and Holly, I’ve got new favorites! Cannot wait to read more stories about the Diamond Doms!

This book has everything! A mystery. Suspense. A BDSM club with entertaining and engaging members. And a love story. I could not put it down!

Heist is the first book I have ready by Ivy Nelson. I cannot wait to read her other books!

Wowza, I love this book. Each book in this series keeps getting better, and better, than the last one. Patrick and Austin become involved personally and professionally. The mystery deepens, surrounding whose going after their group of friends.

Absolutely fantastic! A well written emotionally deep romance. The storyline is flawless, funny, witty, enjoyable, and very interesting. It was enjoyable because of the fantasy aspect of having one of your own D/s relationships. The story flows smoothly and moves along at a brisk pace with a few ups and downs and a mix of emotions on every page. The chemistry between them is intense and their love scenes are beautifully written and HOT!

This series just gets better and better and I loved this book it was a great balance between a mystery and a love story with a healthy heaping of BDSM. You can read this as a stand-alone but so much is added if you have read the rest of the series. I really liked Patrick in Blood and Heist just confirmed my opinion. One of the things I enjoy from this author is that the women are strong and successful in their own right even though they are submissive. They are perfect examples of how being submissive is by no means the same thing as being weak, in fact it is the opposite. While not all the mystery is resolved as it wasn’t in the other books, that just adds to the intrigue and ties the series together leading to what I am sure will be a grand denouement. Now I am looking forward to Garrett’s story.

I really enjoyed this book. It had a great story with compelling characters. The 'whodunnit' part was a little light, but the relationship between Austin and Patrick more than made up for it.

Ivy Nelson has written a 5-star book that will keep you reading from the first page to the last page until finished.
Austin is a lawyer but she is also a member of a BDSM club out of state. Austin is in need of a break from her job and decides to go to the club she belongs to for the weekend. While she is there one of the board members asks her if "she would be interested in becoming a house submissive?" She is told that she would have to go through an interview and have a trainer if she did decide to do it. Patrick is another board member for the club and he has been told that they have asked Austin to become a house submissive and that he would be the perfect trainer for her. Austin is called and asked to come in for an interview and she does. After the interview is over they tell her that they will have an answer for her in a few days. Patrick calls her and tells her that she was accepted in and asks her to come in for a meeting with him since he will be her trainer for the 8-week program. She goes to the meeting and they ask and answer questions they each have for the other. While they are together at her hotel Austin gets a call telling her that she needs to get back home for a case she is getting. Austin tells Patrick that she has to go back to New York and he tells her that he has some business there that he needs to take care of and she can ride back with him in his plane. Since Patrick is her trainer and there is an attraction between them, she asks "him if he wanted to stay with her?" he tells her yes. Patrick's father is in prison for crimes he committed and a result of those crimes some diamonds that he had been going to a museum and Patrick and his sister Holly have been asked to be there for the revealing. Patrick goes to see the curator and gets the plans for the revealing in a few days. The next day his sister comes in and he goes to pick her up and they go back to the museum to talk to the curator together. After that Holly's fiance comes in with another friend and they all go out to lunch. Austin meets them at the restaurant and after they are done they go to Hunters club. They are there until it closes. The revealing of the diamonds doesn't happen because they have been stolen and the police think that Patrick took them. Austin is with Patrick and Holly when they get the call about the diamonds. Since she is a lawyer, she asks Patrick to let her defend him. He tells her that he doesn't need a lawyer. Things do not go well for Patrick with the case. Things happen and he misunderstands Austin with something she said and he gets mad and walks away from her. This hurts her and she feels like he doesn't want her anymore. A few of his friends tell him he is a fool for how he treated Austin and he needs to make it up to her. Austin is still working on the case but she will not talk to Patrick or see him.
Can Austin get the information to clear Patrick of the crime he is accused of or will he be sent to prison?
Can Patrick get Austin to forgive him for being a jerk or will he lose her for good?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend this book to anyone.

We have definitely left the land of the Vanilla. We finally see more than a very mild look behind the curtain at Club Solitaire - Read on KU

This is possibly the best sex club book I've ever read. I usually find the books lack action or they lack an interesting story. Ms. Nelson delivers both.

I've also never read so many reviews get the details of a book so wrong. Most of these things didn't matter when it came to the plot but one thing that got repeated that annoyed me was the statement that Holly and Patrick's father was donating a collection of diamonds to a gallery or museum. He was forced as part of a plea deal to turn over the diamonds. Pretty sure this wasn't a case if getting a tax right off. This happens on the third page or so of the book and was included in the end of the first book in the version I read.

Austin does agree to become a house sub and when she goes to the club, she finds out everyone thinks she should be paired with Patrick for training. He doesn't think it is appropriate given she represents his company but she assures him it isn't against the rules. They were both surprised everyone thought they should be paired even though they do like each other. And then they go from 0 to 60 in about a second.

Less than a week after they start their D/s relationship, he is accused of stealing the diamonds. She's there from the beginning and insists in being his attorney. From there, she goes through a lot of crap with the jerk attorneys in the law practice in which she works. They have an excellent adventure in her sub training. The obviously manufactured evidence against him stacks up.

Then there are few things that really bother me. There's more than one time when things get brought up as new revelations that had already been discussed. There are some little inconsistencies that add up to be irritating. For example m, she says she is only working on 2 cases but then sits down to look at pre-trial notes for several cases.(paraphrasing) There are so many obvious clues that all these really bright people, who did the same thing in book 1, look over. In book 1, Holly goes to see her dad in jail before she gets back together with Eli. In this book, she says she never did.

And the there are the editing problems. Several personal pronouns used incorrectly. Me instead of I, for example. I lost track of how many missing beginning quotation marks there where. And then extras were thrown in where no knew was speaking. I've never seen a book with such a problem.

Book 1 didn't finish the mess with her dad and I expect it is going to continue through most of the series.

And finally, the sex. There's a lot more, it's definitely left vanilla behind. It's more graphic. People might be shocked if they are expecting steam similar to book 1. However, it's still pretty mild for BDSM and for sex clubs.

In the end, I gave it 5 stars despite some biggish issues because of the great balance between an intriguing story and scorching steam. Best melding of the 2.

His father has used his wealth, influence and knowledge of other larger criminal players, to make a plea deal that ensures he will spend little to no te inside a Jail Cell. He has also donated a large collection of Diamonds to a Museum, where Patrick hopes he will finally be able to borrow his mother's favorite, The Pumpkin diamond, so that he can recreate the stunning color in his own lab. Austin Yates is a beautiful, intelligent, successful attorney, that has worked with Patrick on case before, as the current head of Eastman Enterprises. Both Patrick and Austin are members of an elite BDSM Club in Colorado called Solitaire, and although Patrick finds Austin attractive, he's held off partnering with her at Solitaire, since he never mixes business with pleasure. The pairing of the handsome, Dom Patrick, and the attractive submissive Austin, is taken a bit out of there own hands, when Eli, Patrick's best friend asks Austin to apply to the House Submissive Program at Solitaire and everyone around both Patrick and Austin seem to think they'd be a great fit for training.****Spoilers beyond this point*****
Just as Austin and Patrick begin to hit it off in their new relationship, Patrick is arrested for the disappearrance of all of the diamond collection, his father donated to the museum. Austin finds she must take over Patrick's case, hide her relationship with him, and work to ensure that Patrick is able to stay out of jail. I absolutely loved this second in the Diamond Dom's Series, and can't wait to see what Ivy has in store for her next in this series! Oh dear!! I can see a problem arising with each book in this series! I'm gonna have a new favourite character with each new book, I can see it happening and I'm only 2 (3) books in!!! I loved David and Emily, I loved Elijah and Holly, but now I love Patrick and Austin more!!! I want to be Patrick's mum and I want to be Austin's Office Manager!! They both need so much looking after, they are both so vulnerable in their own ways and neither of them see it.

But I digress... I'm not about giving plots away or details about characters. I'm about the quality of the writing. And quality it is, again! As you can tell, Ivy Nelson has drawn me into the world of Club Solitaire and her characters, hook, line and sinker; there is no way out for me until the final full stop of the final book and even then I know that the books are being narrated so I'll have to listen to them all! Ivy Nelson just has this ability to make the characters feel like you are friends with them, or you should be, or you should be in the club with them, or out to dinner with them, even if you aren't a billionaire BDSM lover. She makes you want to be part of (some of) their world.

If you've read the previous books, which you should have, you'll know the premise of this book and know that the hot and the gorgeous are involved in hot and gorgeousness in their private members club somewhere in Colorado. This time though there are more manmade diamonds involved and more time in New York and courts. The D/s dynamic being explored by the couple is giving a highlight to how this can happen outside a the club environment.

As with all of Ivy Nelson's books she writes with great pace and flow for the length of book. She seems to have a knack for eliminating the awkward silence, if that makes sense, or the stifling/trifling paragraphs where characters are just babbling to fill in the pages of the book and make up the word count. Every word counts on these pages.

I loved this book, as I have with the previous books in the series, and can't wait to read the next ones. I just know that I'm going to love them all.

An attorney and a Dom make a great couple but a situation has them in a hard relationship.

The Doms from club Solitaire are wanting to pair up Patrick and Austin in a D/s training course.  
Patrick finds Austin very attractive and a great submissive but since she has worked for David he doesn't think it's right to pursue anything with her.  
Austin gets asked if she's interested in being trained for a house submissive and after some thought into it she agrees.  Her hopes are that Patrick would be her Dom to train her for the 8 week program.  Patrick is interested but needs to see her application and speak with her first.  
After things take off, Patrick is the subject of a diamond heist at the museum they are being sent to.  
So much uncertainty, despair, and ill feeling towards his father who is in prison puts a strain on Austin.  She has talked Patrick into letting her represent him and she does an awesome job of it.  Patrick has a short fuse with reporters, police and the justice system which proves a challenge for Austin.  
Meanwhile, they still try to keep the submissive training going.  Between the two of them, they sure have some steamy coming together at Solitaire and at home.  
You can't help but root for Patrick and Austin's relationship.  They don't have it easy.  
This is a great second book to the Diamond Doms series written by Ivy Nelson.  I love all the characters she has brought us in the books.  I look forward to reading more books in the series and other books by Ivy Nelson.Get the series, you'll love reading the books.  They are page-turners and you can't put them down.

Book one, Blood was Holly’s story. Book two sees her brother Patrick in the limelight. Patrick is a Dom at Solitaire as well as a successful diamond creator. After reacting in court, to their fathers minimal prison sentence, the paparazzi focus on Patrick. When he is asked to attend the diamond unveiling at the museum that is going to house his fathers diamond collection, (as part of his fathers plea deal), he reluctantly agrees.
Austin is a successful defence attorney and a sub at Solitaire. When she is asked if she will enter the house sub programme, to help encourage more dub’s to take part, she agrees and Master Patrick is chosen to be her Dom for the eight week duration. But they have an amazing passionate chemistry together and as their relationship starts to develop both in the club and at home in New York, it looks like their relationship might just go the distance. Their two worlds collide for all the wrong reasons when Patrick is accused of stealing the diamonds from the museum, and although he can prove he wasn’t there, the set up is looking water tight. The paparazzi don’t help, hounding him everywhere he goes. Austin agrees to be his defence attorney as well as remaining as his sub, but they have to do everything they can to hide their relationship. This book is just as good as the first. It’s well written, interesting and enjoyable. The story is brilliant and a definite to add to your library. Superb!

I did not want this book to end! But then I never want any of Ivy Nelson’s books to end because the world of Solitaire might be my favorite fictional place to visit.

Austin Yates is everything that Patrick Sutton has no idea he so desperately needs. While he is familiar with her expertise in the legal arena he has kept a respectful distance from her at Solitaire. But mixing business and pleasure just might be the sweetest cocktail of all. That is until Patrick is staring down the possibility of a devastating prison sentence after he is set up to take the fall for a diamond heist.

Finding an ethically sound avenue for exploring their BDSM dynamic while navigating the legal twists and turns being thrown at them opens up compelling dialogue for the duo on trust and the delicate balance required in power exchange play.

True to the rest of the series we are given a very natural opportunity to check in with all the Solitaire favorites. What really gets me is when Patrick is updating staff about David I felt connected as if he and Emily were people I actually knew.

Creating real characters than her readers con form genuine connection with is a true talent that this author delivers on. Every. Single. Time.

I really enjoyed this story which had the mystery of the heist itself, the framing of Patrick, Austin's past, the relationship between Austin and Patrick plus Austin's varied work issues all woven together into an addictive story. The conclusion to the story was partially predictable and partially devastating. I was thrilled when heads became clearer and the HEA that they both deserved was reached. Easy to read and understand. Very addictive - I could not put it down until I knew how it ended. Contains sexual content which is often in a BDSM-like setting.

Grab a copy, sit down and become immersed in the story of Patrick and Austin. Patrick runs a company that makes manufactured diamonds and Austin is his disillusioned attorney who was just passed over for a partner position because she is a female. (Really her boss even calls her little lady)

Both Patrick and Austin are members at Club Solitaire, an upscale BDSM club. Austin decides to become a house sub to learn more about being a sub in a no-strings arrangement. Patrick reluctantly accepts the responsibility of being her dom for the eight week training phase.

The story between Patrick and Austin is well written and riveting. The characters come alive and it is like you are reading about people you really know. Intrigue, suspense, love and some BDSM thrown in the mix makes for a very good read. I didn't want it to end and I can't wait for the next book in the series.

Ladies and Gentlemen of this prestigious and D/s jury. Granted, this is the first time ever, that I’ve been given the opportunity to read anything from Ivy Nelson. And most definitely not be the last time either.

However, that will not deflect from the facts of this case.
Dom’s and submissive’s of the jury.
Yes, This book is guilty of being hot and guilty of being intriguing, and most of all guilty of being sexy.

Patrick and Austin

The Sutton diamonds have got to be cursed. People were killed because of them—even Patrick’s mother. Despite all kinds of illegal activity for decades, his father is finally going to jail, but is basically getting off Scott free, and now, someone has framed Patrick for stealing them..

Austin may be a Cracker Jack attorney, but both she and Patrick realize they need help from their friends to get the answers to what’s actually happening here, and there are none better than Jax and Lance when you’re in a bind.

From my POV, the culprit was pretty obvious. It didn’t take away from the story though. Patrick and Austin are a great couple and they’re love story, while it had a few trials and tribulations of its own, was a great follow-up to Eli and Holly’s story. Now if only Holly and Patrick could just get a little bit better at sharing their time at Solitaire...

This book was a mix of Drama, Mystery, Suspense and Romance for you to enjoy!

I enjoyed this book! There was a lot of drama in this story, with mystery, suspense, and the dom/submissive relationship between Austin and Patrick, which was quickly merging into something more lasting for both of them. Austin was a Criminal Lawyer, and when Patrick was accused of stealing priceless diamonds that previously owned by his family, Austin steps in to help defend him. What I liked most about the story was Austin's take-charge attitude to her work verses the submissive side of her. Patrick was both a strict but caring dom, he had a history as a player, but what he felt for Austin was so much more than just caring for and wanting a willing submissive.

Our hero is arrested for a diamond theft that he did not commit and his lawyer turns out to be none other than his current submissive. Talk about a challenging situation.

This is part of a series, but it is written as a standalone. I have not read any of the other books in the series and had no issues here.

This is an interesting contemporary romance with a BDSM theme, as well as a nice piece of intrigue to distract us from the fun. The story is well written with solid characters and an intriguing plot, both in and out of the club. The characters have excellent chemistry and compliment each other well, making them fun to read. And we get a good bit of steam as well, which never hurts. Overall, a fun read and I look forward to more from this author.

After an initial rocky start to this story (some contradictions from book 1) I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised how well this story turned out.

Austin and Patrick have a connection but due to her job role they've never taken it further than just friends. Well that is until Austin joins the House Submissive program at Solitaire and Patrick is the Dom chosen to teach her all things D/s.

Things definitely heat up in this book and there were some spicy scenes 🔥🔥
I hope this level of heat continues throughout the series.

The mystery crime element throughout this book was well written and despite the culprit being fairly obvious, I still felt surprise when it came true.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this series progresses with Bling up next!

This is a good addition to the Diamond Doms series.

Pros:

Sex is hot. D/s is hot. The characters are well drawn. The tension is quite good.

The balancing act between the Dom/sub dynamic and the client/lawyer dynamic is quite entertaining. And, yeah, a real challenge.

Cons:

The way the perps tried to frame Patrick was pretty strange. I have trouble with the prosecutors being willing to completely blow off eyewitness alibi evidence. And I would think the texted pictures to them would raise all sorts of red flags.

The actions of Austin's law firm to her leaving and the actions of trying to pull Patrick's case from her were never explained. They seem quite confusing.

The duties of "house sub" seemed rather vague.

A lot of plot was spent on "Who outed Austin at the club". And then that plot line went away completely with no resolution.

The Heist is the second book in the A Diamond Doms Series. This book can totally be read as a stand alone, though I am an absolute believer that books should be read in series or release order, it gives so much more to the story. Patrick is working to move on after his father's crime turn it upside down. Austin is a workaholic lawyer. They come together in the one place that takes them away from their real world problems, Club Solitaire, an exclusive BDSM club. When Patrick is framed for stealing diamonds, Austin comes to his rescue. This book is full of action and of course steamy BDSM encounters. I definitely need more books in this series.

When Patrick is accused of stealing a diamond collection, Austin insists on defending him. Will their burgeoning relationship survive the stress? Will Austin overcome her guilt from past mistakes? Will Patrick be exonerated and discover who is setting him up?

This is an engaging story and you are drawn in to these characters' lives. It was hard to put down and I look forward to the next installment in this world.

Loved it !! Ivy has done a magnificent job at capturing your attention and keeping it til the end. I didn't have the pleasure of reading the first book so I'm definitely gonna have to. Yes it's a D/s book with a great story line.

Austin is an attorney who happens to be a submissive at the same club as Patrick. Patrick is wrongfully accused of stealing diamonds and Austin represents him. But what happens when their D/s relationship is put to the test with the accusation and trial up ahead? Will she be able to separate the two and give him the best defense or will she wither under the pressure? Will their relationship sustain the trials n tribulations?

not a fan

Decided to read the first two books in this series even though I wasn’t thrilled with the first one. Nothing wrong with Ivy’s writing style it’s just not for me. While the book held my interest well enough, I didn’t really connect with the characters. I actually almost stopped reading when Austin asked him to dinner after being away from him for weeks. While I agree that each person should take responsibility for their part in a relationship issue, it seemed that she took all the blame on herself when he was just being a jerk. After that I stopped rooting for them as a couple. Maybe I’m too strong willed to relate to these characters. You should still give the series a try since it’s good writing either way.

​​I love how he defends her while she is defending him. As always, the authors has injected pockets of humour for relief amid a tense situation. I am eager for the next installment of this fascinating bookworld.

This is the story of Patrick and Austin. Patrick is a CEO of a company that him and some friends run together. Right now Patrick is running things as his business partner is taking care of his wife at the time. Patrick is a dom and is looking for a sub to train for the club he is involved in. Austin is a lawyer in New York and a sub when she goes to her club in Colorado. Her and Patrick get matched up together to be dom/sub. Patrick and his sister Holly are dealing with their dad.
