Rena is alittle angry at her brother who is flaking on a fire fighter at school, but he sends one of his other coworkers and Rena is sprung on Jack.. and he is sprung on her also. But she pulls away from him since she has a rule. never date her brothers coworkers it gets messy. And she tries to hang on...
But she finally gives in ;) but not all is rainbow and sunshine, Rena has a creepy coworker who wants her and Jack gets into it and deep trouble with Rena brother and coworkers.

Hot for teacher.............He is going after that A Plus
Jack is the latest firefighter of the Stryker Country Fire Dept. to fall head over heels for the woman he is going to marry and have babies with when he first sees her. It is just too bad that Rena is the sister of his shift captain Braxton and she has a rule to never date or become involved with anyone that her brother works with. But Jack is not going to let a silly little thing like a rule get in his way. After all "rules are meant to be broken teach" he tells her.
Rena is the third grade teacher at the local elementary school. Her brother Braxton bails on her when he is supposed to come to the school and talk with her class and hopefully bring one of the fire engines with him. Instead he calls in the favor that Jack owes him so when there is a knock on the classroom door Rena is surprised. She is actually so surprised that she quite literally cannot say anything or even move her feet. Jack is the most handsome and sexy man she has ever seen and it is definitely lust at first sight for Rena.
Jack has a similar reaction but is able to play it a bit cooler. But he is a sexy charmer who loves to give Rena an eyebrow wiggle and a sexy wink. She has all the curves that he wants to spend days exploring and he intends to ensure that he gets that chance. So when Rena turns him down for a date he is not going to give up quite so easily. Instead he is going for the extra credit to get that A plus grade and is all set to play the slow and long game, or at least as slow and as long as he can last.
This is a fun, smart, witty, sexy, entertaining, sweet and wonderful novella. The story-line is nice and tight and the characters are wonderfully written with a lot of heart, that also includes the supporting characters. And lets not forget there are a few very hot and steamy flame inducing scenes between Jack and Rena. All in all Jack is an enjoyable story and a great addition to this series.

Well... this was one helluva HOT story! And not JUST because there was a fire fighter in it ;)
This is a very quick and steamy story about Rena, a third grade teacher, and Jack, a fire fighter who works with her brother Braxton. Braxton cancels a class incursion at the last minute, and while Rena is freaking out, he assures her that he has a replacement to fill in for him.
Enter Jack… they’re both instantly, physically attracted to each other, but they have a job to do, and it’s important to stay professional – no matter how hard that may be. Jack is an absolute hit with her class, and asks her out. She wants to keep her distance, so as to not cause problems for her brother at work. But will she able to resist his persistent efforts to get her to go out with him? Will she be able to resist their magnetic pull to each other?
A great, entertaining and fun read. One I would definitely recommend.

For my first time reading this author I chose this over-the-top insta-love steamy story. It’s really short and can be read within an hour so perfect for reading over a cuppa. The plot and the characters are not overly in-depth but what can you expect with such a short book. It is a very enjoyable book to read though and I shall look out for more from this author in the future.

I really enjoyed this story. It had all the feels! I did a lot of smiling and laughing.

She has sworn to never date any of her brother's coworkers, but Jack is super hot and she is definitely attracted to him. Now she is torn because she wants him, badly.
Jack works with Rena's brother Braxton at the fire station. Braxton calls in a favor so that he doesn't have to talk to his sister's class. Jack didn't plan to spend his day off talking about fire safety, but he owed the favor. Meeting Rena wasn't something he was prepared for. Their attraction is instant and combustible. Jack knows that she is his and he has to figure out a way to let her know that they belong together. She’s trying to keep him at a distance because of her rule. Rena is a school teacher the kids have been really good so she is expecting her brother from the local fire department to bring a fire engine to the school to give the kids a treat and to teach them about fire safety but he turns around and says that he can’t come which makes Rena angry but just before he hangs up he tells her that he is sending someone else. When there’s a big knock on the door Rena opens it and the man standing in front of her is gorgeous she can’t take her eyes off him and he introduces himself as Jack, the kids are excited but Rena is the only one who’s thinking about ripping his clothes off. Jack wasn’t happy when Braxton called in his favour and he asked Jack to go to the school it was his day off after all but when he saw the teacher Braxton’s sister his heart started to pound she is gorgeous but when he asks her to get in the truck she knocks him back Jack doesn’t know what he did wrong but he thought that there was something going on between them and he thought that she felt it too. Fantastic story I loved it and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

Rena's brother was supposed to come to her third grade class and do a visit about being a fireman. He calls to cancel but tells her that he sent a replacement in his place. Jack doesn't usually do the school thing anymore but he owed his friend so he agreed to help out. He was stunned when he saw Rena and knew that he would do whatever it took to have her as his. Rena was attracted to Jack but she has a rule about dating men her brother works with. When he finally convinces her to go out with him makes everything feel right for Jack. However the next day he gets into some trouble and it makes Rena rethink them being together. Will Jack show her that they are meant to be?
This is an amazing story that once I started it I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read more from this series. The chemistry between them is scorching hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend it to any book lover.

OMG, I thought the other Stryker County firefighters were hot, but they can't hold a candle to Jack! This was a steamy, fast paced, action packed novella that was just perfect. Rena and Jack grab you by the shirt collar and keep you firmly in their grasp as they figure out if it is safe to date your brother's coworker.

Jack is book five in the Stryker county fire department series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Rena is a schoolteacher that is expecting her fire fighter brother to attend a school talk. Jack is a fire fighter that steps in for his buddy. What he didn’t expect was to meet the schoolteacher and want her.
The chemistry between Jack and Rena is clear to see and I loved them as a couple.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.

Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough with twists and turns hot and steamy like a rollercoaster ride of emotions that makes you want more. Rena is a teacher and organized her brother to talk to the children but he could not make it he sent his best friend Jack. Jack had a great time talking to the children about fire safety. Instant chemistry.

I loved this short story, the passion between these two, protectiveness jack has for Rena,the instant love. I could not get enough .

Rule breaker. Rena is a schoolteacher who is furious at her brother, Braxton because he stood her up for the class project. The class project for her students was about fire safety and a fireman with the engine of coarse coming to the school. Don’t worry he said the sub. Jack. Jack instantaneously instead love, Rena. The only problem is she has a rule. She doesn’t date her brothers coworkers. She has her reasons but Jack is determined. It’s a good short read to understand why she has this rule and why Jack is determined to break it.

Love this series. Rena´s brother was suposed to come with a firefighters truck to her school. Her children are anxiously waiting for it. But, he wrote, he can´t manage it and is sending a replacment.

Though it was a short story it didn’t feel like one. It was well written and the story was complete... would I have loved to know more about them... OH YES!!!!
It’s a beautiful story about love at first sight, knowing you want to be with someone the moment you meet them and how much you try to fight it, you can’t stay away from each other.

Quick, hot romp! Rena, is a school teacher whose brother, Braxton is a firefighter. He is late, scheduled to present to her class. He sends a co-worker, Jack in his place. I could feel the heat through my Kindle when they met. Jack is smitten. Rena trying to stand by her rule of no dating Braxton's co-workers. Who will win? Fun story. Good job. For a short book it was well written and had a clear storyline. I’ve read a lot of duds lately so this was a welcome change. Nothing special but enjoyed this quick before bed read.
I also appreciated that while she mentions the h is curvy it isn’t a factor in the book. I’m super tired of fat shaming storylines and I never want to read “what would a guy like that see in a girls like me”. Or the ever popular “I’m so stupid to think a guy like him would choose a girl like me”.

Book five of the Stryker County Fire Dept. series a well written short story. Jack Reeding a firefighter and third grade teacher Rena Michaels meet when he brother can not come to the school to give the children a safety talk. It is love at first sight for Jack. Rena asked her brother to talk to her class about firefighters. But he claimed something came up at the last minute he was sending a replacement. Jack agreed to cover for Braxton with his sister. However Jack wasn't expecting for the woman of his dreams to be inside the classroom.

I absolutely loved this book and was honored to have been able to read and review. It was such a phenomenal read and had amazing characters as well as an amazing story line. I just could not get enough of it and once I started reading it I could not put it down. I recommend that you read it.
