Once again I could not put down my eReader until I finished the final installment of Wedlocked Trilogy. I was shocked parents would ask their only child to marry someone who was such a monster to try and save themselves. Henry and Aurora did not let all the craziness stop their love. The steamy, sexy and suspenseful scenes did not disappoint and were definitely page turners. Another must read series from Charlotte Byrd.

Buona lettura.

I received an ARC from the author for an honest review. As with her other books, I was so engrossed in this book that I finished reading faster than I have been reading lately. Although I admit I am reading the books out of order, Ms Byrd does a good job of pacing the story so that I did not feel lost. She hits on topics such as spousal abuse, pedophilia and greed which really brings the story together in a believable manner. I have been enjoying her series lately and highly recommend.
Thank you to the author for introducing another of her series to me.

Before beginning can I just say I FREAKING LOVE THIS PART!!!!

Fatal Marriage is the part 3 of Wedlocked trilogy by Charlotte Byrd.

This part is hands down the best in the whole Wedlock trilogy. The first two parts were a bit boring but this part had me hooked right from the first page.

The story picks up where the last one left off. Aurora is still dealing with everything all by herself in order to save the pensions of hundreds of people. She decides to go through with the wedding. Franklin physically abuses Aurora but later apply medicine on her wounds. His character blows hot and cold making me think that he might have a valid reason for his bad actions like some mental illness or something. He is no doubt an exceptional businessman but why couldn't he got suspicious of Aurora at any point? But then story might drag and it would become boring like first two parts. Henry and his PI friend Jackie are supporting Aurora in exposing the secrets of Franklin and giving justice to all the victims. Without giving any spoilers, at the end, (as we already guessed) Franklin is exposed.

I like the story and how everythin is executed but it would have been better if the story had more realistic aspects like-
1) Franklin is a business mogul and he knows he has a lot of enemies but at no point anything was mentioned about security guards, CCTV cameras or bodyguards.
2) He knew the fact that Aurora was seeing Henry behind his back and still he didn't asked someone to spy on Aurora.

The other underwhelming aspect was the reference of Henry's mom which was only added to lengthen the story. Her role was not as significant as it was made us to believe. At one point I thought his mom's sudden fluctuation in health has something to do with Franklin which would have added the spice to the story but there was no such thing.
Also, I thought the story will further develop around the money that Franklin gave to Henry for his mother's treatment but it turned out either it was out of his generosity or Franklin wanted to impress Aurora.

The reason I liked it and would recommend as a one time read would be the way the story developed. In the last part, nothing was clear. Aurora was questioning everything. The secrets were uncovered very slowly which instead of generating curiosity made it boring and feel like the author was trying to drag the story. In this book, the background was already made and the story developed further and each new event piqued my interest. The introduction of Franklin's shenanigans (which were completely opposed to what the blurb suggests) was the right move. Only because of it and the investigation I read it in one sitting. Franklin role was completely fulfilled as villain as Charlotte didn't left any opportunity to bring out his evil actions.

In the whole investigation, Aurora played the major role but she didn't got the recognition for it but at the end it was Aurora who was benefitted the most, so I am not complaining much.

3.5 stars—FATAL MARRIAGE is the third and final instalment in Charlotte Byrd’s contemporary, adult WEDLOCKED romantic, suspense trilogy focusing on twenty-five year old heiress Aurora Tate, and high school teacher turned investigative reporter Henry Asher. FATAL MARRIAGE should not be read as a stand alone as it picks up immediately after the events of book two Lethal Wedding.

NOTE: If you have not read the first two books in the series, there may be some spoilers in my review.

WARNING: Due to the nature of the story line premise, there may be triggers for more sensitive readers.

Told for dual first person perspectives ( Aurora and Henry) FATAL MARRIAGE follows in the aftermath of Aurora Tate’s marriage to wealthy businessman Franklin Parks, a marriage meant to secure her parent’s future but a marriage that Aurora is hoping to remain in name only.

Several months earlier Aurora Tate discovered her parents had virtually bankrupted the pension fund for Tate Media, and in the ensuing time Aurora had been forced into a marriage with a man she did not love but a man with predilections for the younger girls. With the help of Henry Asher, Aurora sets into motion a plan to take down Franklin Parks, but in doing so, will probably take down her parents, in the process. As Aurora’s life with Franklin begins spiralling our of control, Henry struggles knowing the woman he loves is placing herself in danger on a daily basis. What ensues is the rebuilding relationship and love between Aurora and Henry, and the potential fall-out as Franklin’s jealousy rears its abusive side directed at both of our leading characters.

FATAL MARRIAGE is the culmination of three story lines focusing on money, greed, and the powerful elite; on one woman’s desperate battle to take down a man who has destroyed so many lives, and one man’s love for said woman, and his unwavering support on a daily basis. The premise is engaging and intriguing; the romance is passionate and steamy; the characters are energetic and charismatic. I did struggle with a few points of believability but such is the nature of fictional stories; and I was hoping for an epilogue or information regarding Aurora and Henry’s relationship future.

Finally we get to the final installment of this series, and it hasn’t come a moment too soon. While I enjoy the idea of what this story has to tell us, it’s not one of my ultimate favs so i’m glad that we’ve resolved things and moved on.

There’s been a lot of drama throughout this series, with Aurora being forced into a situation that isn’t fair to her, and yet the she still feels the need to ‘do the right thing’ since she knows that there’s so much more going on that she’s not aware of.

We spend our time in a few different plot lines.

There’s the one where the marriage is a thing now – she’s stuck with Franklin and she needs to make that her new normal. She’s able to keep him at arms length because she just doesn’t trust him, and she’s got plenty of reasons. She find that he’s cheating on her, walking in on 2 different women with him, and he uses the excuse that since she won’t sleep with him, he has to get it somewhere else.

Then there’s the plot line of Henry and Aurora. They can’t stay away from each other and stop trying. What they have is something real, and once they realized that Franklin was trying to keep them apart, they stop caring and let things take them where they need to go. It’s hot and steamy and yet dangerous at the same time, since for some reason Franklin always knows where she is and this gets dicey.

Add to that, we see a side of Franklin that we didn’t expect. Two actually. There are moments where we actually like frankln – he has these tender and sweet moments and we watch how Aurora wonders if she’s gotten him all wrong. If there’s something worth saving in their ‘relationship’. And then there are the moments that are completely opposite – where he’s hit her and slapped her and then we know that he’s truly evil. How evil? we don’t find out until later.

There are rumors that he’s involved in something that’s quite illegal. They set up a sting and hope that they can catch him without getting caught, and what they find is so much worse. What this does though is takes us on a fast trip to the end of the story.

We lose faith in family and we find hope in the future and what happens to get us to the end of this story makes spending time with these characters worth while.

Really liked book #1 Dangerous Engagement because the premise (rich girl, poor guy) was different than a lot of other books I read, so that made it interesting.
In book #2 Lethal Wedding the story slowly continued but - unfortunately and a little disappointing - nothing extreme or super spectacular happened. Still, it was interesting enough to want to continue.
In book #3 Fatal Marriage everything comes together.... but, rather 'easy'.... actually, way too easy for me. 🥴 The covered topics/issues were definitely promising: prostitution, exploitation & sexual abuse of young girls & boys, mafia connections, corrupt politicians and government officials, extortion & blackmail, cheating, trickery & deceit.... e-ve-ry-thing was there! I really hoped for some 'fire works'', some excitement, some twists & turns, some bloody violence, whatever..... but apparently this was NOT 'that kind of story'. 🤣 {Eigenlijk een Bouquet reeks verhaaltje.} The story came nicely to a satisfying conclusion, without any real problems or unexpected twists.
To be honest, these stories aren't my 'usual cuppa'... but for once in a while that’s fine and I enjoyed reading it. 😊
Loved the book titles!
Imagine what could happen if miss Byrd would be willing to come over to the dark site!!! 😉😈

Books are not standalones and must be read in order!

Married to a monster of a man and loving the man she sacrificed for family.

Aurora goes through with marrying Franklin.  Really, she had no choice since her parents bankrupted the family company and stole the employees pensions.
She soon comes to find out her marriage is a nightmare because the things her husband does are evil, abusive and filled with terror.  He shares those experiences with high level men and he keeps videos on those men which gives him extreme power along with his family being very rich.  Henry loves Aurora and won't give her up.  He just has to wait for her to make the first move.  It's with his help that Aurora could come out of this alive.
Her parents support whatever Franklin wants to do to her in their marriage.  Money is what is important to them and the life of Aurora's father.  Aurora has to put her life in danger and become a bit of a sleuth in order to have the evidence to go after Franklin.  Luckily she has Henry's emotional support and a private investigator friend of his.  But Henry can't stop the physical abuse that Aurora encounters when Franklin is upset.
Aurora and Henry come up with a plan to put away all the men that Franklin dealt with and their sick ways.
This book brings the end to the trilogy in a great way.  No loose ends.  Aurora and Henry's story is steamy, interesting, attention getter and an everlasting love.
Definitely recommend this book along with the whole trilogy.  The story line takes you through so many emotions.  You won't regret reading Charlotte Byrd's books.

I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

A suspense-filled EPIC conclusion to an OUTSTANDING trilogy!
Author Charlotte Byrd’s highly anticipated conclusion to her Wedlocked Trilogy is here and packs enough punches, twists, and turmoil to blast any romance reader to the moon and back! Their true love thwarted by circumstance and misplaced loyalty brings Aurora to a wedding day she loathes and a groom she does not love or trust. She is trapped and heartsick for Henry yet knows that she must go through with the charade set before her. When Aurora’s suspicions of her husband’s backroom deals and blatant infidelity lead to evidence of a more sinister evil, she knows she must do something . . . but what? Again, she is trapped, and now she is also in danger. . . FATAL MARRIAGE is an amazingly non-stop thriller within an epic romance which seems to be at its end, and yet author Byrd’s prose and titillation keep the hope of a future for Aurora and Henry alive! How they keep that hope alive while they do what they must do is truly an amazing story! Since some of the scenes go dark and may trigger those who have suffered physical and sexual abuse, even readers 18 and over need to proceed with caution. I volunteered to read a copy of FATAL MARRIAGE and it has easily earned a 5-STAR rating and this honest and VOLUNTARY review. FATAL MARRIAGE is a fascinating MUST-READ that will keep you focused and entertained for hours! So get your copy of FATAL MARRIAGE, today! Happy Pages! 😉

Fatal Marriage by Charlotte Byrd is an exciting, suspenseful, thrilling, steamy and emotional ending to the Wedlock Trilogy Series. Now that Aurora has gone through with the marriage to Franklin in order to save her father and Tate Industries she is about to find out that not only is her husband hiding a secret, he also wants to sell off the company to make billions. When Aurora overhears a conversation about Franklin's sexual preferences, she will do all she can to bring this evil man down even if he is being protected by men that are as depraved as he is. Now with the help from the love of her life Henry and his best friend Jackie who is a private investigator they will join forces to gather the information to take Franklin down and have him pay for his crimes. Once again Henry and Aurora will be drawn back into their relationship that was denied them in Dangerous Engagement. Will they be able to get the proof needed in order for her to escape this abusive marriage or will this be her undoing and lose it all? With all of the suspense, drama, betrayals and twists and turns in this story, you will be on edge throughout this entire book until the dramatic ending. Charlotte Byrd has once again written another gripping, thrilling series. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

The Wedlocked trilogy comes to an end in Fatal Marriage and it is by far the best in the series. I had no idea of all the betrayals, horrifying secrets and thrilling moments present in this book. Charlotte Byrd had me at the edge of my seat as I raced through the pages towards the conclusion. Franklin’s true colors come to light after he and Aurora get married. Any goodness I though he had completely dissolved when his secrets came to light. Aurora is determined to bring Franklin, and all the powerful men involved, down for their horrendous crimes, so she enlists the help of Henry and his friend Jackie. They create a plan to get all the evidence they need to convict Franklin and the other men, but it’s not an easy task when Franklin shows Aurora exactly the type of man he is. Amidst their investigations and misfortunes, Aurora and Henry’s love for each other shine through and you just can’t help but to root for them.

This is the third book in the Wedlocked Trilogy and what an ending it is. It is not a standalone and the books must be read in order. I would also caution those with triggers as there may be some descriptive material some may find too sensitive to handle. Aurora has given in to marry Franklin in order to secure her parent’s future after realizing that her parent’s company went bankrupt. Aurora reaches out to her true love Henry and devises a plan to take Franklin down, not realizing that it could also destroy her parents. As things begin to spiral out of control, Franklin’s jealousy is taking aim at his wife and Henry. Will Aurora get the information she desires to finish Franklin and escape her hell of a marriage? This is one absorbing drama addictive tale filled with suspense, steam and an emotionally charged ending. It will definitely keep readers on the edge of their seats. I volunteered to read an advance copy of this book.

Wow Charlotte you have done it again. You have written a very hard topic like spousal abuse and other abuses and made me want to see what the ending brings. All your characters have so many side that quite often when I read I struggle to choose who the good guys are. I just love how you weave a story and draw your reader in. Henry and Aurora were meant to be together but when Family obligations forces Aurora to marry Franklin to save her father I thought how can this end well. Once we start to see the truly evil in Franklin and what he and other powerful people do you just want to reach into the pages and take your own revenge. So thank you again for such a touchy subject but yet told so well

I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review.
This book is fast paced and gripping from the start that you won't want to put it down, not even to go to the toilet, because it's that exciting.
Charlotte Byrd is an excellent author who is able to bring the characters to life, so that you become invested in what happens to them along the way.
Aurora is married to Franklin, who is a terrible man, who treats her badly.
Thank god she's got Henry, her ex boyfriend to lean on, because she needs his help to expose her husband's terrible deeds.
This book is just so good, it's got sex, violence, and intrigue. What more do you want?? It's so well written it just flows 💞💞
As you can probably tell I'd recommend this book 😍😍😍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

4.5 Stars! This is the last book of the trilogy and wow what an ending. If you have not read the first two books, you need to start there. This is a dark book and some of the things Franklin does is just brutal. Aurora gives in and marries Franklin to be able to secure her parent's future and keep the company from going bankrupt. Aurora keeps in touch with Henry, her real true love, and with his support and assistance hatches a plan to bring down Franklin. Franklin though is jealous of Henty and does despicable things. Lots going on in this last book. Tons of drama and suspense including some really good steam. A real roller coaster of an ending.

WOW! What great trilogy and the conclusion was epic. This is the final book in the series that continues where book 2 left off. Aurora was caught between a rock and a hard place. Marrying Franklin Parks to save Tate Media as she didn't have the love an support from her parents the only person in her corner is Henry Asher. The twist and turns keep you on the edge of your seat. I absolutely loved this story. The storyline was so interesting that it completely captivated me and was so intriguing that I couldn’t stop reading it until I finished with the very last word. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for an amazing book. Enjoy happy reading 📚

Charlotte Byrd is truthfully the queen of serialized storytelling. In the past she has written in a shorter version, 5 or more book series...shearing this story into a trilogy was perfection. I believe that in certain circles a marriage to combine family dynasties isn’t so far out there so this book struck me as totally believable, in this case it was another reason all together. The quarantine worked against me in getting this book read and reviewed in a timely manner but once I settled into this book I knew I wasn’t moving until it was finished. This trilogy is epically great, the characters are so fully fleshed out that you actually feel like you KNOW them.

I was fortunate enough to receive an arc for a fair and honest review.

Wow, what a rollercoaster of emotions! I thought I hated Franklin before, I really hate him now! I thought that maybe...just maybe he had some tenderness and maybe even really wanted Aurora because he liked her. I can't quite figure out why or how a monster like Franklin could give Henry the gift he gave him, you would think he would enjoy seeing Henry suffer, it would suit his character but I'm so happy he did!

Aurora and Henry continue fighting for their love, and make a great team fighting against their enemy.

Charlotte Byrd has quickly become one of my favorites. If you haven't read anything of hers, you are missing out.

Omg this is the final book in this amazing series and I couldn't put it down. I kept turning the page's to see what would happen next and I became totally addicted to reading it. The chemistry and connection between Henry and Aurora was so strong that you could feel it sizzling of the page's. This has been an absolutely amazing series and I am so sad that it is over and what an ending. Charlotte Byrd is an incredible author and writer and I can't wait to see what she writes next. I definitely recommend you read this book and series and other books by her and you will definitely not be disappointed.

I have never given a two star rating...except book two in this series

I am not sure if I ever have a two star rating. I am so disappointed in this , and author. Storyline too long and characters were disappointing. As my last review the only character that was decent was Henry. The epilogue was the best chapter in the entire series and it was one and a half pages! Would/will not re-read. WARNING: author is changing book covers on previously released books. I have made the mistake of purchasing additional books from author to realize I already had and read the book/series. Amazon will not refund your money after so many days.

Aurora helping her parents out by marrying a horrible man in Franklin is now stuck in a loveless marriage and wanting out. All she can think about is Henry and how much she longs to be with him. Franklin is trying to rip apart her family legacy and she can’t let that happen and the only way is to stand up to him and bring him to his knees with the help of Henry. Will Aurora be able to expose Franklin for the man he really is the or will she lose everything in the process? This is so intense suspenseful, edge of your seat greatness. Good ending for the trilogy! It was nice that there are people in a pretty corrupt and deviant environment with a moral compass. Aurora’s parents have manipulated and guilted her into marriage with Franklin. He is power hungry and he goes after anything or anyone he wants. It is his belief that he is untouchable. He has basically bought her and abuses her when he doesn’t get his way. The ending is unusual and impressively constructed. I thought it was the best part!

This is the 3rd book in the series and I do recommend reading them in order. Aurora is doing her best to take down the man she was forced to marry and her parents may get caught in the crossfire. She can only rely on the love of her life, Henry. Will they both be in danger from the fallout and can Aurora escape before it is to late? Fast-paced read with loads of twists and turns, plenty of drama and suspense and steamy chemistry. I was hooked from beginning to end on this action-paced read.

There is one person that will help her but it could be dangerous as her husband gets rid of anyone that goes against him! How will this all turn out? Aurora is was more than upset that she must continue with the marriage with Franklin Parks. There were so many times that Aurora tried to talk with her mother about the situation about the company and Franklin. Needless to say they were married however Aurora was not prepared for the extra circulium activities that her new husband was into. Aurora decided to come up with a plan with Henry the love of her life to bring Franklin down. I enjoy this happy endings for Aurora and Henry. Thank you for this Fatal Marriage. I have to get out of this.

Aurora and Franklin marry. She is saving her parent’s business, but she finds out what her father has done. He is also a crook. Franklin has a secret that no one really talks about, but she finds out what it is. Aurora asks Henry to help come up with a plan to take Franklin and the others involved in the horrendous crime down. Henry sees Aurora has been abused by Franklin and want to pay him back. I enjoyed this book. It is well written and a fast read. You will fly through the pages to find out what happens.
