She’s always known she wanted to be a writer, and finally managed to get one of her many stories out of her head and onto to paper, bringing her characters to life. J. S. Andersson loves Books, Reading, Movies, Nail-polish, Thunderstorms, Vanilla and Caramel Lattes, and Chocolate. She hates Shoes, Clutter, Gardening, Veggies and City Driving.
This one gave me all the Sons of Anarchy vibes. I loved Willow & North. Plus the cover is damn hot! I can’t wait to find out about Cyndi’s little surprise in the next book. I’m hoping it’s Pyro!
This had great potential but unfortunately fell a little short. The first half felt really slow and I had a hard time staying focused on the story.
I like the idea of Willow writing letters to her mother but a lot of them were just restating everything we just read in the previous chapter, it felt repetitive. It may have been better if they were more about her feelings of what happened and what she wishes her mom could be around for.
I wasn't sure why so many things were kept secret. I think some could have been revealed sooner without losing the mystery. I much preferred the last half of the story. Things started finally unfolding and it was exciting. A lot happened in the last bit and it was rushed. I think some parts could have been expanded to last a little longer and add intrigue .
I loved North. I liked that their relationship slowly grew. I actually liked a lot of the MC members. While this wasn't my favourite book, it was good and I will check out the next book.
When Willow's mom dies, she goes to live with her dad, Aiden. Although he is also known as Slammer, the president of Hell's Legacy MC. She discovers a new life, a new family and she meets North. He is a member of Hell's Legacy. But her father will kill him if he touches Willow. I love MC books. This one's plot is full of twists, secrets and action. Although something was missing to make the story perfect. I don't know if it was Willow's innocence, the jumps in the story line... But I don't really think I will read the next book.
It took me a little while to get into North by Author J. S. Anderson but once i did I didn't mind the story at all . This book was about North a biker just going with the flow in life until his president , Slammer asked him to Shadow a girl by the name of Willow upon seeing the beautiful Willow he wanted her wanted to know everything about her however she was only 17 and his president would not give him any other information about her and was told hands off .
Willows life completely changed in one instant when her mother was killed I'm a car crash life as she knew it would never be the same again . Enter Aiden her father who she only saw twice a year she moved into his house and life took another turn for Willow as secrets were slowly being revealed and her eyes were well and truly opened upon finding out that Aiden is not only her father but also Slammer the president of a MC club .
There's a few wholes in this story and some questions I had that didn't get answers for bit I'm hoping that they will be answered in the next book in the series which I'd like to read as I ended up liking the characters and story towards the end of the book .
Your mum does! You go live with a dad you don’t know, and meet new family members. Which, dad hangs out with a lot of hot guys, by the way. Your friends leave you behind and you have to make new ones. Oh, can’t forget this one, someone wants to kill you!!! While growing up, Willow’s mum kept her away from her dad and her dads MC. Fast forward 16 years, she moves in with her dad but he is able to keep the MC life away. With the threat against.Willow, Slammer, her dad, has North watch her while she is away from home. When the two meet, sparks fly! She thinks he is hot, but doesn’t talk to her so she feels he isn’t interested in her. North has been warned to stay away, or die! Well eventually things come to a head with threats against Willow and their feelings cannot stay hidden, but neither can the killer. When the secrets come out, will Willow be able to handle them? Will the club save her in time? And can her and North have their happy ending? This book is full of MC drama, angst, manwhores, love and a loving daughter grieving for her mum.
This debut novel by JS Andersson has guaranteed that I will be coming back for more. As a huge lover of MC romances this one ticked all the boxes. The story charmed me from the very start. This is a coming of age storyline that will have you enamored by Willow and North as these two walk the line to forever. Willow is a young girl who loses her world and is thrown into another where adjustments will be required, revelations will be made and everything she thought she knew might not be exactly true. North is the biker who lives life hard, fast and two wheels at a time. One glance into Willow’s mesmerizing eyes and he realizes she might just be a game changer. This introduction to the Hell’s Legacy MC has just enough grit, action, drama and chaos to have you counting the days until we get more of the brothers and the people who will steal their hearts.
Since she was a little girl, it has always been Willow and her mom. Her dad would visit her two times a year and that was ok, because she had her mom and her best friend and they were inseparable. Now, and accident has changed her life forever. Willow has lost her mom, and now she is to live with her father, a place that she has never known. The loss is too much to take in and she lives on autopilot for a while. But she still has her friends from her previous life to be there for her and support her through this difficult time in her life.
North is a member of Hell's Legacy MC. He is the son of the VP and he takes his position seriously. He has been assigned to look after Willow in a low key manner. Slammer is all about keeping his daughter safe. But he tells North that he is not to approach or hit on Willow. She is underage and nothing can happen between them.
Through the following two years, Willow grows more into herself. The person that she is to be without her mother. She learns about the MC and meets the members of the MC. She is club princess, so club royalty and she is to be protected as such. When the threats against her escalate, the MC will stop at nothing to make sure that she is safe.
I enjoyed this story a lot. The story was written well and I would love to read more.
I took notes, which I never do, just to make sure I don’t forget things that stood out for me while reading this book. I gave up, cause there were just too many. One thing that did stand out above all others was the letters Willow wrote to her mom. It was heartbreaking to say the least. The raw emotion that emotionally drained me. I swallowed at a lump in my throat more than once. Don’t get me started on North, swoon worthy biker hunk, what more could you ask for. J.S Andersson did a great job with this book. The characters were great, the story was believable and good. Enough angst, but not too much. Makes you want to jump into the book and move things along. I think you should just try this for yourself, you won’t be disappointed. Well done girl!
J.S started this book with a tear jerking opening that caught my heart. It made me realize that it's in the time of lose that one's life is literally upended. Losing a mother is hard, especially for Willow. Now she is thrust into the MC life of her father which is all unfamiliar to her. There is adventure, there is love, there is danger! The epilogue is everything, as well as the heartfelt letters Willow wrote, those really got my heart. Can I have book 2 in the MC's now?? Pretty please??
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author through Voracious Readers Only.
This was a GREAT read. It had just the right amount of intrigue, drama, romance, and sexy bikers. The romance was well thought out, and used so well through out. I feel like this is an MC read done RIGHT. I've read a few others that are just not, so it was refreshing. I'd be thrilled to read the next in the series, once I get through the rest of my to be read pile. :)
This book started out good, strong characters great plot...... then the grammatical errors started( needs serious editing) I could look past those because the story held my interest... at the 75% read mark the story got rushed, it made it difficult to hold interest and to finish the story.... I think this author has great potential and could make a great series from this MC.
I enjoyed reading Willow and North's story. Although I feel like their story wasn't over. With this being the J.S. debut, I thought she did an amazing job with this book. The details were awesome and had me cringing. I love me some MC books and I can add this series to it. I can't wait to see what happens next in the Hells Legacy MC. I need more ASAP.
a good debut novel This book was a good read i enjoyed it . I’m looking forward to see what happens in the rest of the series. I really like the flow of story and the way the characters developed their relationship .Yes there are a few grammar issues but its this Authors first book. It's a great first book by J. S Andersson
I really enjoyed this story. I like the way Willow and North built their relationship. I feel that there were areas that could of been expanded on, like the past friendship. But I'm looking forward to the next book.
Such a great debut for J.S. I finished this in one sitting as it was so easy to read and I just wanted more, couldn’t put it down. Such likeable characters and I can’t wait for Book 2.
This is the first book in the Hell’s Legacy MC Series and the first book for new author J.S. Andersson. This is a great debut story and I’m excited to read along as this series develops.
I truly enjoyed reading this book. This was my first motorcycle club themed book and I found it interesting to see the ins and out of the club throughout the book. I also enjoyed the notes between Willow and her mother as it shows us more insight into what’s going on and how Willow directly feels about certain situations. Although sometimes they had my heart aching and breaking for Willow.
The storyline is very good and I love the main characters. I’d love to see more interaction with supporting characters in the coming books. Especially with the characters that we will see in the next book in the series.
There are a few grammatical errors, but that’s completely typical in a debut book and honestly any book. And there aren’t so many that you are unable to enjoy this book. You will still love this read!
You won’t regret reading this book and you will be begging J.S. to give you all the details coming in Along Came Tank. I know that I will be counting the days for the next release.
Here’s some insight into the book without any major spoilers.
When I began reading Then Came North, I immediately connected with Willow. She’s just lost her mother and all her so-called family wants to swoop in and make a claim on her. Aiden, Willow’s dad, decides that she’s going to come to live with him, but she has to uproot her whole life to live far away from the only people she holds dear to herself.
What Willow doesn’t know is that Aiden is the President of the Hell’s Legacy MC Club and there are threats being sent out against her life. To protect Willow, Aiden has North secretly follow Willow wherever she goes.
On Willows 17th Birthday, Willow and North finally come face to face after Willows friends from back home ambush her with a surprise. What happens when Willow finally meets North?
When North took the job of protecting Willow, Aiden made it known that if he touches her he will skin him alive. Can North keep his feelings inside until Willows 18th Birthday?
What happens when they start getting more threats to Willow’s life? Will the MC Clubs Princess ever become North’s Ol’ Lady?
You done amazing good on your debut novel J.S. Andersson loved every minute of this! Loved Willow's journey we had the heartache, the drama! Then Came North! Found another aussie author to follow and stalk! So looking forward to more Hell's Legacy MC Series!
I was absolutely enthralled in reading the debut book by J.S. andersson, absolutely loved it. you can relate to the characters & feel as though you are genuinely part of the story. I felt like I had been friends with Willow for years. I didn't want to put the book down & I'm really keen to see what this awesome new author comes up with next... looking forward to reading everything in this series! thanks for an awesome book!
Absolutely loved this book and couldn’t get enough. I’m excited to see where the rest of the series goes. I loved the story and the way the characters developed their relationship rather than diving in head first like other books I have read.
This was a sweet motorcycle romance book about growing up and dealing with loss. I did enjoy it, but felt like it was missing something. I felt like I didn't get to know the characters as much as I would have liked. There were some sweet swoon worthy moments but I wanted a bit more steam and a deeper connection between the characters. I also got a little confused with the motorcycle club language about calling people old ladies and going to church. I've not read a motorcycle romance before, so these were a little odd to me. It's a good story and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.
I loved the slow burn of Willow and North. This coming of age story pulled at my heartstrings, from the very start of the book I felt for Willow. I loved the diary entries from Willow, it was like a little window looking in, they gave a whole new view on how Willow was feeling at different points.
North has got to be one of my fav new book boyfriends. The way he is around Willow is totally swoon worthy.
Debut Book! If you love some good ol MC books, you’ll enjoy this book!
This book starts with Willow learning about the unexpected passing of her Mother, who she lost in a tragic car wreck. Her father, who she only gets to see twice a year takes over guardianship for Willow.
Her Father, unbeknownst to her, is the President to a Motorcycle club. Wanting to keep his MC life away from Willow he unintentionally pushes Willow when she needs him most. He is trying to protect her, not only from the Club, but from the unknown perp who is threatening her life.
North is the VP’s son, he has been put on assignment to watch Willow from afar. Until a miscommunication that bring North and Willow face to face. Starting a chain of events that will change Willows life forever.
I did have a hard time with a few things. I wont go into too much detail, but I had some issues with love, vs lust between North and Willow. extra events that were added that felt more drama’ie and the time line.
That being said, I loved the MC world. The suspense on the perp. Watching Willow grow from a preppy>mourning> punkish girl>punkish woman. I loved seeing how friendships can make or break you. That having family is everything. That protecting family is everything. That being true to yourself is vital. That secrets secrets are no fun. That sometimes you need growly, rough and tumble men in your lives. That every girl needs a good grandma. That sometimes when you think you are protecting someone, you actually end up hurting them so much more. That sometimes the lines are not so black and white. To not judge a book by its cover, that some of the immoral, have morals.
I cant wait to read what happens next. That little teaser at the end of the book was so not cool. I yelled at my phone when the teaser ended. This book is an excellent start to her career as an author!
Really enjoyed this, I love angst ! Great writing, I would of loved a deeper depth into Willows and Aiden's relationship, I did feel it jumped and glossed over it. But saying that I can't wait for the next book xx well done
Absolutely loved this story! It is the debut novel from new to me author JS Andersson. The characters were very interesting and the story held my attention! Can't wait for whats to come!
