The spell that bound her fate to their realm has unleashed its crippling curse. She's the only thing standing between them and total destruction...
I can't control my powers or the brooding princes who won't let me out of their sight. And I can't keep my secrets safe for long. Which scares me as much as the dark pasts haunting my warrior princes.
I shouldn't want them by my side, but I do. I need them, especially here among the fae court, a dangerous place with even more enemies hiding in plain sight...and among them, I fear my own parents stand waiting to end my life.
Not that any of that will matter if I can't get my powers under control.
They've already cost me so much and put us all in great danger.
With time running out to save one of my own from becoming a cursed creature, I'll have to rely on my erratic powers and my bond with the princes to let us live to fight another day.
But with every win, another shadow befalls us. Our odds of coming out of this alive grow less by the day. And less with each step we take toward learning the truth behind this insidious curse and what fate awaits me when it's finally over...
Mila Young tackles everything with the zeal and bravado of the fairytale heroes she grew up reading about. She slays monsters, real and imaginary, like there's no tomorrow. By day she rocks a keyboard as a marketing extraordinaire. At night she battles with her mighty pen-sword, creating fairytale retellings, and sexy ever after tales.
To Tame A Fae was soooo good! Mila Young has once again pulled out all the stops and delivered a story with everything! Action packed battles, blood-pumping thrills and suspense, twisting mysteries, dreamy and steamy romance, heart wrenching emotions and a killer cliffhanger. With relatable and memorable characters, that I love more and more as the easily flowing plot thickens, I still say this is her best series ever and I can't recommend this non-stop page turner highly enough.
Guen can't remember what happened the first time she went to the strange realm, but when a gorgeous fae prince comes to retrieve her again, she's thrown into another nightmarish adventure. She's the key to ending a terrible curse, but neither Guen nor her princes know how. If anyone finds out she's there, they'll kill her. On top of it, she doesn't know how to control her blooming powers. She might be able to focus if she can stop thinking about the three hot princes, and unless she learns, all of them may die.
Another fantastic book in the reverse harem fantasy romance series, Winter's Thorn. There's plenty of action and a lot of tension on every level. The heat level between Guen and her princes is through the castle roof! She's trying to figure out what's going on, trying to get a handle on the princes, and trying to learn about herself at the same time. She's strong and has a big heart. As for the princes, oh my. I adore each and every one of them. I love the addition of Hiss to the cast! Highly recommended to any lover of reverse harem stories.
With the curse in full swing the monstrous Bloodcursed were attacking and destroying everyone around them. Horribly threatened, Guendolyn and the princes went in search of a cure risking their lives before the cruel and bloody enemy. Exciting how Guen and the princes make their way before the enemy that threatened them all. Guen's powers were growing and important mysteries about her past were revealed. I enjoyed the intense, emotional and exciting descriptions and narrations that made me feel for the protagonists. The attraction and passion were strong and much more the desire to protect and reach the truth. Action, suspense, magic, intrigue, violence, romance and a lot of passion. I really liked this book which kept me avidly reading with many interesting twists, strong emotions and intense struggles.
Wow...this book started intensely and it just kept building all the way though! As soon as I started I was once again transported into this captivating, intense and dangerous world! I love the connection between Guen and the princes..and in this book we really get to see how Ahren feels and thinks. He is dark and dangerous and he never talks about what he is going through, but his connection to Guen is powerful and when they are together he is explosive! It is hard to choose the favourite of the princes but I have to admit it us probably Ahren, followed very closely by Deimos and then Luther...but they all bring done completely unique to her that you just cannot compare. This story is so fast paced, it never lets up and the pages seem to turn themselves..at the end I was left wanting more immediately! I BBC really want to know exactly who Guen is and I really want Ahren to not trust the mage! I cannot wait for more from this exciting world that the very talent Mila Young has brought to life! This is for sure a series that lovers of all things supernatural should be buying! Bring on book three.
A very well written second book in this series. This is a very detailed world compared to other of Milas books. We of course only know as much as the current point of view, but as it all comes together, we get a very good description of the world.
There's action from the beginning. We knew from book one that Guen would have trouble once arriving at court... unfortunately, she's the one to start it, and then it all starts piling up. This all needs to be fixed, and while doing so, maybe Guen can finally get some answers to all of her questions.
Absoluteley Love This series, Book 2 starts immediately after book one and builds with intensity through out until the end when you get not one but two shocker twists that you didnt see coming. The Fairy bit i did see but not who her Father was. I love how the relationship is developing and how each of the brothers are so different from each other and Guen may be more powerful than any of them imagined. Together they should be unstoppable if they can only thwaught the prophecy.
I’m completely hooked. From the moment I started reading I didn’t want to put my kindle down. Secrets are revealed that will leave you speechless. Guen, Luther, Deimos and Ahren have a connection that can’t be denied. Truly an amazing read that everyone must read. I can’t wait too read the next book.
Just when I thouhht this book could not get better this book was released and blew the other book out of the water. I loved all the unexpected twists, turns, and relevations that kept me draw in the book and unable to put the book down. I also loved the amount of romance and action within this book.
Aside from the Haven Realm series this is probably my favorite series from Mila Young. The characters, the world and the plot....perfection! I love the twists and the play between the princes and Guen. I can not wait for book 3. And more sharp toothed blood thirsty fairies.
I'd like to order my own set of 3 sexy fae brothers please
Really enjoying this series. I love all of the characters, the story and the unraveling of who Guen is. If you enjoy fae stories I recommend starting this series.
This book was really fast paced. It was filled with fights and dangerous situations. We learnt many interesting things. Guen did grow, her hold on magic slowly improving. Her feelings for her three princes also getting so much tangled with each of them. Plot is just marvelous. I did read it completely out of breath, till very late into the night because I wasn’t able to put it down, I did swallow it whole.
Such an epic adventure and that ending? I kinda want to sit and cry because of what it means for the characters in this set. The author has such a way with words and painting a story that you will devour every word and want to beg for at least one more
So much as said and then not said in this 2nd book in the Winter's Thorn series.
After losing her memory to the curse, Guen has to wait 2 yrs until sexy Deimos finds her in Earth and brings her back the Wandering Realm on hopes she can also break the curse. Since most of her memories of the princes are hidden from her she slowly is reintroduced 1st to Deimos and the heir apparent older brother Ahren with poor Luther trying to wait until she remembers him. In this book 2 she can't stay hidden from the King after she opens a portal in the throne room inadvertently during a rather intimate interaction with prince Deimos.
The action is nonstop as the unseelie chase her in Earth and then back to the Shadow Court where we met fairies, mages, and crazy unseelie old woman who finally brings a little clarity as to who Guen really is. She is still left with some unanswered questions. This was additionally exciting as Guen's powers manifest thru out the book and she has to learn by trial and error on how she fits in.
A usual thus book ends on a bit of a cliffhanger and I'm so glad that I may jump right in to book 3 as I already have it in my TBR.
But what I am truly freaking out about is her damn father!!!! He's gone now so she will never get the chance to actually know him or anything like that. There was just so much going on. There was so much action in the book. It picks up where the last one left off and its just bad luck after back luck. Every time it seems like something good is happening, it goes to shit.
I am just hoping that in the last book everything starts working itself right. It seems that she's got the relationship with Luther and Ahryn down. No sharing though ... which come on!! What's the point in having an RH if your not all going to have her at the same time???? I hope we get some of that in book 3 :)
I really want to see Guen's magic grow and learn about everything finally.
Spice 2.5 /5 Humor 1/5 Emotional 2/5 World Building 5/5 Overall 5/5
Guendolyn, Ahren, Luther, and Deimos story continues in To Tame A Fae as they deal with the curse Guendolyn unleashed. Deimos ends up being bitten by the Bloodcursed and is put in a magic like coma while a cure is being found. Things go haywire near the end and it is revealed by the Unseelie kings mother that the King of the Shadow Court is actually Guendolyns father. This news could not have come at a worst time though with the ending of the book being the way it was. There is still much to be revealed in the coming book/books (I'm not sure how many Mila will do for this series) and I'm excited to read how everything that has happened and been revealed will ultimately play out.
This book picks up right where we left off in the first with trying to determine how to defeat the curse and the ramifications of what happened with opening the portal at the end of the first book. We get to see more interaction between Guen and Ahren and Luther then we did in the first book.
This book not only gives us more interaction but also gives us more in-depth understanding of where Guen comes from. We find out about her background and who her family is. The book also gives us more insight to abilities Guen has as they attempt to help Deimos.
This book was fun to read and definitely follows up with the rest of the series. if you've read the first book you definitely have to read the second book and if you haven't started the series at all you really should.
*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.
Welcome back to the world of Guen, Luther, Deimos and Ahren. Things really get interesting this time. Guen accidentally opens a portal letting the blood cursed in where she and Deimos are bitten. She heals thanks to who she is but he is put into a coma to slow the spread extending his life. This makes them scramble to save him stumbling across quite a few secrets along the way leading to a cliff hanger ending. I cannot wait to see what happens next. Fantastic writing full of in depth characters that will captivate your attention. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
I like the story. I like the book. But the way it's written is rushed an unrefined. Ending with cliffhanger makes it feel cheap and gimmicky which takes away from the enjoyment as well.
I am enjoying the premise of the story, and that's what matters most, however I don't know if I'd go about recommending others to pay for it. I feel the author has a good story, but really needs better editing to smooth it out and fill it in. The cliffhanger endings is another strike against.
This has to be the best book so far in this series. I’m saying that I wish it was longer and not so fast paced. I think this author has some great ideas I just craved more needed more from the characters and their interactions and relationships. The storyline was very interesting with the fairies and hope we see more of that in the next book. I felt like we needed more insight into the king to make the ended more dramatic and meaningful then it was.
I’m very intrigued at how this series is going to end.
I love this series. From the start you are just pulled in and actually there with Guen and the princes. The scenery is very vividly detailed and the characters are very realistic and intense. The way they all interact with each is amazing and how they come together and fight to save everyone from the curse is inspirational. I can't wait for the next book because this series is addicting and I need more.
Book two picks up without missing a beat. This book and series is highly addictive. Guen still can't remember her past, but she has been getting little glimpses. The more she uses her powers the more she realizes that she is truly powerful, if she can only figure out how to use them. I absolutely love this book and series and I eagerly await the next one to see what happens.
Wow this series just keeps getting better and better!! This was a enjoyable and entertaining read and a great addition to the series. I love all the twist and turn and the interaction between Guen and her guys. Also the action, intrigue, suspense, and of course steamy romance to keep you hook from beginning to end. Overall a great read looking forward to seeing what else is in store for this series.
This story is just getting more interesting by the page! The King of Shadow Court seems like he just wants to be a father to the three princes. And damn does my heart quench every time he tries to bond with them. Gwen is still trying to figure out her past and her power. But every moment she seems to get is either lusting after the princes or fighting the bloodcursed. Girl needs to stop and figure shit out!
Wow! The second book in the series and it takes you on one hell of a ride. Guendolyn is trying her best to understand the missing pieces of her past and who she really is. Then there are the three princes who have a hold on her heart. The curse must be stopped and they will have to face death. Once I started reading I did not want to set this one down. So much action and some hot scenes. Need to start the next book right away.
This book definitely suffers of the "middle book syndrom". Nothing really happens, always the same secrets, no actions. Like in the first volume, there are too many boring descriptions about the landscape, the castle, and every little thing. I skipped them after the half of the book. Some edits are needed. If you don't want to lose your time, read only the last 2-3 chapters. Good thing: there is finally sex in this book!
Mila Young's To Tame A Fae throws us deep into fae court chaos. Guen's powers are wild and dangerous, her princes are fierce and protective, and the dark curse binding them all is getting deadlier by the day.
Secrets, betrayal, and sizzling tension fill every page while these three fae hunks fight beside her against insurmountable odds.
If you're into dark fantasy, impossible choices, and romance with enough heat to spark a wildfire, this book demands a spot on your shelf!
This is a fantastic book! I absolutely loved every second of it! Guen and her Prince’s are amazing characters and the storyline is full of action, adventure, intrigue, sexiness, and of course love! I could not put this book down. I highly recommend this book and the series and I cannot wait for the next book!
This book is so well written. The continuation of the story of Guen, it explains a little more of the Wandering Realm, a little more of Guen’s past, reveals potential villains’ identities, and stokes the fires that were beginning to build- whew, the steam! That cliffhanger though!!!!
I struggled to get through this one. Guen just keeps trucking along, not demanding answers to a bunch of questions she has. The guys just continue to feed her little bits of information here and there. Doubtful that I'll end up finishing the series. I've read a handful of other stories by Young and I just don't think she's the writer for me.
