WARNING: This review contains spoilers

This yaoi contains three stories, the main one being the title of the collection, Teach Me, Tutor. In that story an older college student named Uta takes advantage of Minami, a high school student who always looked up to him. I'm not going to sugar coat it, Uta starts off molesting Minami before straight up raping him, going so far as to black mail him into continuing a relationship with him. There's no question that he sexually desired Minami but he was also fuel by this sick desire to punish Minami for always being so happy and naive when they were younger. He says "You've always been...so full of light... Your radiance...pissed me off... so I wanted to dirty you...!" He then says that he wants Minami only for himself.

Before any of these things took place Minami already had a crush on Uta. You'd think that the things Uta did to him would have caused those feelings to disappear, but no... Minami actually falls even more in love with him. He says that knowing what type of person Uta really is makes him happy (SMH...I mean, to each his own, honey!).

The story comes back to them a few years later when Minami is in college. They are now living together and are actually pretty happy. Minami is still manipulative but Minami is older now and Uta's techniques aren't as effective as they were when he was younger. Their relationship is more balanced and Minami doesn't mind how controlling and obsessive Uta is, in fact, he finds it endearing. Uta's character really changed since the earlier acts. Whereas before he came across as extremely confident and kind of scary, now he's just weak and needy. He's still crazy, though, and if he even thinks that Minami may be messing around with someone he threatens to kill who ever that person is as well as himself. Minami thinks it's cute but it's pretty obvious looking from the outside that he'd most likely really do it. It's a good thing that Minami is so completely brainwashed... I mean, in love with him.

The other two weren't as good as this one. The second one involving two room mates who end up as lovers was alright, though, I didn't like the introduction of the older guy's daughter in the second act. As for the last story, it was just silly. I didn't care for it all.

I like reading about all kinds of relationships, even crazy ones like this. As long as in the end both people are happy and in love I don't mind how they got there. And as far as toxic relationships are concerned as long as they don't reach the levels of Killing Stalking I'm fine. The characters are very well drawn (lots of buff bodies in this one!) and the scenes are completely uncensored and very graphic. This isn't real life, its just for entertainment, and assuming you aren't easily triggered you may actually like this one.

CW: Discussions of sexual assault, brief mention of suicide

(I would have given this 4 stars if there was less noncon/dubcon, and more "Our Cowgirl/Riding Situation".)

High school himbo Mitsuhashi Minami comes home one day to the news that his mother has hired a tutor, former neighbour and cunning university student Arakawa Uta… but is schoolwork the only kind of teaching Uta has in mind?!

Twentysomething (ostensibly heterosexual) beautician Asari Soushi finds himself with a new roommate when his elderly landlady moves him and kindly, beefy, divorced Momoi Atsumu into the same apartment. Soushi wants to save up money so he can buy a nice house for his future (but as yet fantasy) wife. Is a candidate for his heart closer than he realizes?!

Two childhood best friends/rivals, black-haired, mildly hirsute Shou and blond-haired smooth twunk Tatsuo, realize they have feelings for each other, share a romantic first kiss, and then beat the shit out of each other over who loves who more. They compete for the right to top the first time they have sex, who will take the honour?!

Teach Me, Tutor is three yaoi short stories, with the titular tutor story being the longest. While the stories are unconnected, there is a central thread: the biggest, thiccest, beefiest man tiddies and the puffiest, pinkest, most glistening man nips you can imagine.

Imagine them.

Now imagine them bigger, thiccer, beefier, puffier, pinker and more glistening.

That’s basecamp.

Anyone who knows me, knows I read and enjoy some questionable themes. If I find something to be too much, or icky, then there must be something really questionable about it.

The first story in this compilation bothered me; mainly Uta's creepy and obsessive behavior. Uta essentially manipulated Minami for his own gain, black mailed him into being with him, and then threatened to kill himself if Minami left him. There is a part II to this first story where the balance of power is more even in the relationship but Uta obviously has mental issues; his obsession with Minami would easily cause him to hurt someone.

The other two stories were Meh, normally I'm into gratuitous and graphic yaoi but this volume fell flat for me.

This is just a collection of smut just like most of what this author creates but it perfect for that mode!!! The artwork is very pretty but masculine. If that is not your cup of tea look for a different author.

I don't mind reading gratuitous sex or questionable themes, but god this was not well executed. The art was not good, very busy and all of the characters looked like they were in their 30s, even if they were meant to be teens. And I havent read a bl manga with the bodies proportioned like this in years, so that was a unfortunate blast from the past with how nice the art has gotten across the genera in the past five to ten years.

The sex scenes as a whole were uninteresting, trite, and predictable. This is where the art was the weakest, so busy my eyes couldn't seem to focus and retain anything, almost like my brain was trying to help me not notice how bad it actually was. I started skipping pages by the second story, which is not good for a book that is 70% sex.

The first story was boring, I did not care about the relationship and thought the characters were both stupid. You can also tell that the author did not plan this story out (which they admit in their authors note) becuse the second half of their story feels almost like we are dealing with different characters.

The second was also boring, but I was no longer reading the first one so that was a huge mark in its favor. Did not care about the sex scene in the first chapter, but the dynamic between the characters was cute.

The last chapter and story was far and away the best. The relationship was cute and funny, it was different from any other bl I've read, and I wanted more. It is honestly criminal that the author thought the other stories were more interesting than this one and only gave it a singular chapter.

I would not reccomend this, it felt like a waste of my time except for the last chapter. But if you do not care about quality, plot, or characters and only care about a sex scene occuring regardless of whether it is engaging or not, then this may be for you.
