Dark and interesting
I have to say this was an interesting read. It is a dark story with a HEA but there are triggers. I will be honest, I don't know how I feel about this book. It bounces from the past to the present. Granted this is story building but the book spends maybe 80% in the past. That is all well and good but you can't build a relationship on the past. Y'all ain't the same people as you were. So, need a little more present world building not just the past.
Still, it was an interesting story. Could have better editing. Not really steamy or erotic. It is more heartwarming and hopeful.

Who's the better killer????
We have two, one girl and one boy. Held in captivity from such a young age whom were groomed to be what they are today. You would think with the atrocities they had endured while growing up they wouldn't have a conscious, compassion and the will to live.
Revenge such a strong word, but so apt in the circumstances of these two. One a little more calculated then the other. Old ghosts come to haunt and hunt.
You really need to read the story it's brilliant in the storyline and the way it unfolds. I even suggest you start with the box set of Reckoning and go from there.
You got fast paced storyline, angst, sexy AF alpha males and strong females.
I hope Joy is not done with these characters I still want Sage to have a story and I bet it would be freaking hot 🔥 so hint, hint and wink.

Wow! This book has a little bit of everything. Murder, assassins, abduction, and so much more! It is a quick read with a great story that caught and held my interest from start to finish. It flip flops between characters and flips between the past and the present but its done very well so that readers are led along the path of self-discovery. I loved this dark romance story.

I couldn't stop reading this suspenseful and interesting book. It has abduction, murder, and mystery. It shows both perspectives of 2 kids, a boy and girl, who are abducted as children and survive to become adults in a dark world of crime, rape and murder. It is shocking and captivating. It shows how revenge can become soul consuming when dealing with a troubled and devastating past. I loved this dark, beautiful story!

This was a beautifully written dark romance definitely not for the light hearted though so you’ve been pre warned! Haha!
It has so many moments where the main characters just make your heart weep and your soul hurt for the life they had to endure from such young ages.
I absolutely loved how the author puts multiple POV’s from past and present.
It’s a short read but one that I would recommend reading to anyone who’s a lover of suspense, action, and bad guys getting some well deserved karma!

5 Stars for Wraith
Wraith is not an easy story to read. This is about two trained assigns who crossed paths when they were younger and left such an impression on each other that one will look for the other until death. When they meet again in a cabin in the woods...the truth will be revealed and the cat becomes the mouse.
Lara is the female lead and Wraith aka Steven is the Male lead. He is not a good person at first but did the best he could do and learned how to survive. This story does have triggers so be prepared.
I enjoyed this story, it's dark story with an HEA and I loved how the author went back and forth from past to present. Happy Reading!!!

A bit of a twisted tale
Story is told in a mysterious,convoluted fashion that is interesting but confusing at times. How did he not recognise someone he knew so intimately? . Worth a read for the unique concept but lacks steam and Romance until the very end although their connection is intriguing and their banter addictive. Recommend,but not my favorite from this author.

Great story
I found this book highly entertaining however if you’re not into rape, kidnapping etc avoid this book.

I didn't know what to expect since I've never read anything from this author. Its a thriller suspense is how I'd describe it. Keeping you guessing with a great plot.
