Atlantis had its chance, and it wasted it. Sometimes legends are born from old truths. Atlantis is real, I should know, I’m Atlantean. That doesn’t mean I’m going to sit back and let the warlord who runs the sunken city raise it from the ocean floor and use Atlantean technology to bring about a new world war. When Atlantis rises from the ocean floor, will humanity live to see the next sunrise? Ever since Jack was a child his only friend was his dog, Neal, an Atlantean SENTINEL, made to counsel, guide, and protect him. Now as a man, he and Neal use their unique abilities to save missing children. When a woman walks through his door, desperate to find her daughter, Jack does what he does best and is soon swept up in a plot to bring about a new age of Atlantis at the cost of millions of human lives. Can Jack and Neal stop Warlord Karakatos, or will he usher in a new age of Atlantean rule on the bodies of humanity?
I've had many jobs in my life. I bagged groceries in high school to pay for gas, fast food burgers, and yes...cigarettes and beer. I joined the Army and spent three years in Germany, learning how to stay awake during guard duty and how to be somewhat responsible. I was an electrician for a while, which gave me a good appreciation for what it feels like to get shocked. I decided, after getting zapped one too many times, to go back to school. While I was working as an electrician I had a daughter born with cerebral palsy. She is the best thing to have happened to me. I decided to stay home and take care of her after she had surgery to help her be able to walk and during that time I read a book so bad that I wanted to see if I could do better. Turns out I could, I found that I loved to write and I wasn't all that bad at it. Fast forward a few years and I have now finished five novels (one is nearing the end of the editing process) and a short story about Santa fighting zombies!
I've done a lot of things, but writing is in my soul, I hope you take the time to give my books a chance, I don't think you will be disappointed.
This book was an enjoyable read. I enjoyed the banter between Jack, Neal and the characters they faced. The book was set at a comfortable pace and had a well thought out plot line. I liked the story of Atlantis and the off chutes that came about. I would like to learn more about Atlantis and the riff but alas it looks like the author is moving the series towards more stories around vampires, werewolves, sirens and other mythical creatures. There are complaints about grammar in other reviews, I didn't lose sleep over the mistakes I found nor did I find reading the book difficult so I am not sure what the users gripes are about. Yes the book could use some professional proofing. Was it an eye jarring distracting to me no. I got this book as a freebee or on a promotional discount to provide my honest opinion for a review.
Great book, well written with new and old ideas mixed in.
I liked that this book is very entertaining and provides a new twist on well-known science fiction themes. It is fairly unpredictable as the story goes along, and it is well written. I would recommend this book, and the best part is that it is good for all ages, from teen to adult.
What what a remarkable adventure of newage history fusion mix! The book is full of supposed fiction and speculative nonfiction details. Yet it's all so cohesive!

A lot of great action scenes, with a Warlord trying to take control of both Atlantis and raise it back to the surface and take control of the world in the process, has Jack scrambling to stop him. The author also introduces werewolves and vampires, and how they came to be is very original and creative way. There was a lot of humor, violence, and great fight scenes and the author gives us terrific character and world building. The ending ties up the storyline well, but leaves it open for sequels.
