During her early years of reading, Ranee` S. Clark devoured fantasy books, which continued into her adulthood—since she often believes that a well-written romance novel is a delightful fantasy. Though raising three boys can sometimes hamper both romance with her own Mr. Charming and her writing, she tries to get a little of both in every day. And most of the time she succeeds.

Fluffy Fun

If you are a fan of the Bachelor reality TV show, you will probably really love this book. It has a similar vibe but not so many women to contend with. I loved that Coy wanted Bellamy so much and that he looked to her for trusted advice and help. The attraction was there from the beginning and grew in intensity as the story progressed. It was a quick, fun, fluffy diversion. There was nothing too deep or emotional here but sometimes a girl needs a bit of candy to get her through the day. 😉

Fans of The Bachelor TV show will love this story of pro basketball player Coy Jones going on The Catch to find love. I don't watch the Bachelor or the Bachelorette but I really liked this sweet romance of Coy and Bellamy. When Coy has a strong attraction-at-first-sight response to Bellamy, but is under contract to participate in The Catch I didn't know how he was going to handle it. Bellamy was a big fan of the show and had a really good idea of how things said and did would be made to look like something else for drama and show ratings. I'm not a fan of love triangles but this one was handled well.

I liked the characters of Coy and Bellamy. They were honest and wanted love--not a fling. Bellamy was straightforward and not into playing games. I loved that she wouldn't let Coy kiss her until he knew if she was the one.

There are those that will say this is a fluffy book, but sometimes that's what my brain needs after reading books that put me through an emotional wringer, or ones that are intense. I read this one after a couple of those types of books and it's just what my brain and soul needed. So if you're looking for a cute and fun read this is a good one.

Romance, clean; series but stand alone read
Coy and Bellamy's story was so fun! A perfect addition to this series! The Bachelor type setting was cute with this addition to this series. Bellamy's addition to the contestants, the women vying for his heart, and all the situational misunderstandings and elements, had all the snark, drama, sass, and of course, sweet emotions between Coy and Bellamy as they found themselves together during filming of the show. Fun how it all came together.
I received an ARC from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review, my opinions are my own.

Great chemistry in this reality tv story! Nicely pulls in other characters from books in the series, but can be read as a stand alone as well. Easy to read, good pacing and length, characters you cheer for. What more could you ask for?

I received a complimentary copy of this book. All opinions expressed are completely my own.

Bachelor themed is not usually my pick of settings for books. However, this one was well written and had me wanting to know how it was going to end!

I enjoyed all the books in this series. I think this one was my favorite. I'm not a "bachelor" or reality t.v. show fan so don't worry if you'll not enjoy this book if you feel the same way. I thought the chemistry and banter with Coy and Bellamy was great. I had a smile or laughed throughout the book. Ranee S. Clark did great with working the reality t.v. angle in the story. Not too much angst or drama. I liked all the characters. Yes, even the girls from the reality t.v. show! The people were written well and helped the story and plot move along naturally. This was a fun and sweet romance read.

I really enjoyed this novel by Ms. Clark.

I do like reality tv storylines and this one was a delight. I loved the immediate connection between Bellamy and Coy and the lengths they both went to in order to be honest with each other and those around them.

There are lots of humorous moments as they both try to negotiate the terms in which they're allowed to interact both on and off the show.

While this series can be read as stand alone works, I found myself wondering what happened in the first book between Roxy and Tag. I may need to get the rest of the series so I can enjoy each one from cover to cover.

If you like sweet, swoon-worthy romance, then you've found the right book.

This is a great story. The storyline is similar to the TV show ‘The Bachelor’, but in the-behind-the-scenes point of view and a great twist.

So, having never watched the Bachelor, and not being a fan of love triangles of any sort, a book that has a guy on a reality TV show dating (and kissing) multiple girls isn't exactly my type of book--so the fact that despite having those two things going AGAINST it, the fact that I still enjoyed it and can give it four stars shows that the author really did a good job making this book a lot of fun to read. The attraction between Coy and Bellamy was great. Bellamy is spunky and Coy was charming. Light and fluffy, this really was fun and engaging.

Bellamy and Coy Jones

Coy Jones, Shooting Guard for the Denver Mountaineers, can't believe he has actually let himself be talked into this. "The Catch", he is actually going to be on this show? You would think he would be able to find his "love match" for himself, but, nope, he lets himself be talked into dating 8 women at the same time for 6 weeks. Well hello beautiful! He can't believe he gets to meet one of the ladies first thing! Only Bellamy sets him straight right away that she is NOT one of the contenders. She is there to run the ranch and to fix their meals nothing more! Bellamy can't believe she has actually met Coy but will be able to watch his meet and greet. Plus what she feels as soon as they meet can't be good! Some of the ladies come on way to strong for her liking especially Lucy and Willa! Lucy can't seem to keep her lips to herself and Willa just seems enamored with Tag one of the owners of the ranch and her best friend Roxy's husband. Bellamy can't seem to stay away from Coy nor him her! What happens next surprises not only Bellamy but Coy when she is asked to fill a spot of one of the girls who has to leave after they find out she has a boyfriend. Will sparks continue with these two or will one of the remaining 6 take Coy Jones's attention? What fireworks are a head? Only one way to find out, read this great story by Ranee S. Clark.

My disclaimer here is that I hate reality show television. Like, really hate it. I don't really get how people get sucked in to watching every season. So reading a book about a reality tv show isn't exactly my normal choice. Still, I liked this book much better than the first in the series. Mostly because I liked the main characters better. I liked both Coy and Bellamy. I found some parts of the story annoying as I would if I were watching the show on tv. Just the idea of people who don't know each other and couldn't possibly have real feelings for each other making out all the time bugs me. And the manipulative nature of how shows are edited for ratings is another thing that bugs me. So why did I like the book anyway? Aside from liking the characters better I also think the author did a good job writing about the topic. She didn't try to gloss over the manipulated parts. I felt like we were getting a behind the scenes story. I suspect it was probably tamer than the behind the scenes of a real reality tv show though.

So if you want a little fluff romance reading, this could be a good choice. Sit back and enjoy it.

No sex, language or violence but a bunch of making out.

I really liked this book and I am NOT a fan of the Bachelor TV stuff. I wasn't sure I was going to like the book because it is a Bachelor type setting, but the characters were so well written that I was hooked. Coy is the right amount of flirty and fun. Bellamy is so likable. She is fun, honest and has just the right amount of sass. While Bellamy isn't on the show originally she does wind up on the dating show. This was a fun sweet romance

Catching Coy has become one of my favorite books. Ranee Clark merged the perfect 'Bachelor' story type without it being a complete game show. They had the perfect meet cute that I could see them telling their children. While their romance started during one of the most inconvenient moments possible, they were able to forge a relationship despite all the people rooting against them. This was such a sweet book to read that I couldn't wait to finish it. I absolutely loved Catching Coy.

The Love in Little River series is one of my favorites. I love that from the beginning there is a connection between Coy & Bellamy. I was wondering how the story would go since she was not a contestant for the show. I enjoyed getting to know all the characters and how they tried to make a match with Coy. Great twist at the end. I enjoyed "catching up" with Roxy, Tag & Nash from the first book. Can't wait to read the next one!

This book is well-written and had a solid story arc, but even so, I struggled with reading it. I don't care for reality TV. The entire concept is deceitful and cringeworthy. I found myself unable to connect to characters who behave so differently from what I would choose. That is my reaction and may not be yours. I have read and enjoyed other Ranee S. Clark stories, and I will read her future stories. I received an advanced reader's copy of this novel in exchange for my unbaised review.

Catching Coy was such a fun and cozy read for me!

I absolutely loved the whole concept—it felt like The Bachelor meets the NBA, which made for such an entertaining and unique setup. It had that addictive, reality-show-style drama mixed with sports romance, and I was hooked from the start.

The FMC was another highlight for me. She felt so real and relatable, which made it easy to root for her the entire time. I always appreciate when a character feels grounded and genuine, and she definitely delivered that.

And the setting?? The mountains added the perfect touch. It gave the story this cozy, slightly escapist vibe that made me want to curl up and stay in that world a little longer.

Now, were there some cheesy moments? Yes. But honestly… I didn’t even mind. If anything, it added to the charm and sweetness of the story. It leaned into those feel-good moments in a way that just worked for me.

Overall, this was a really enjoyable, heartwarming read with a fun premise, a lovable main character, and just the right amount of swoon and cheese. Definitely worth picking up if you’re in the mood for something light and entertaining!

Concept of (and some drama like) the Bachelor... but cleaner!
I really enjoyed the characters and the book was engaging. I stayed up late reading because I wanted to see how things got resolved!

The Bachelor - a basketball star who is humble. Who takes this ‘job’ on in good faith. Really wants to find a woman who will love him and marry him for WHO HE IS - and not because of his star status. So who catches him? And what if there is more than one he thinks could be the one? Absolutely loved this book - and the unexpected winner!!

Sweet Bachelor-style romance

This was a sweet, Bachelor-style romance that was believable. Ranee Clark's settings are familiar and welcoming with compelling characters. I would rate this as sweet and clean, PG for kissing.

I decided not to finish this. I honestly don't know what the issue was. I only read 4% of the book and it just wasn't clicking. I didn't like book one, either, so maybe it is for the same reason, whatever that was?

Ambivalent

Really like the energy between Cody & Bellamy right from the start. Have liked her in all the books have read so far. However, 'the Catch' spoiled it for me. Not a fan of what shows like that do to people. In this book, felt like it 'dirtied' it somehow.

Another fabulous love story by Ranee S Clark! I listened to this on YouTube and while I’m grateful it was free to listen to (thank you!!), the narrators sounded like robots. But I got used to the way the story was being read and focused more on the story and characters.

This was just plain cute. The instant attraction and chemistry with the girl he’s not supposed to date and how they found stolen moments together was fun. The competition and drama that comes with reality dating shows is always entertaining as well. I loved both of the main characters.

Cute. But I think I couldn’t handle the competition. Who wants to share the person you are falling for romance others! Talk about salt in the wounds! That’s just sadistic.
