Well this was awful and not in a good way. You know how sometimes something can be so bad it’s good because it’s fun? Yeah, this isn’t it. First off, it’s straight up sexist. Slut shaming towards the women who just hung around desperate to sleep with anyone despite the fact that the ‘hero’ of the story was sleeping with them with such regular frequency that he couldn’t be bothered to know their names. Charming. How can this be considered a plus for a love interest? Which leads to the next, and frankly most important issue. At one point, before they are going to finally have sex, he has no condom and the woman says no problem, I’m clean and on birth control so it’s ok. WTF! The guy has been sleeping with women who have been pretty non-discriminating in sleep partners, what are the chances that he’s clean? Does the author really have no understanding of how STDs occur? Irresponsible to not have made some mention.
As a romance, it’s a fail. What’s romantic about about a guy ogling your body bits and referring to them as tits throughout the whole damn book? Nothing. That’s marriage friends, not romance. In fact, I’m hard pressed to be able to identify one single aspect of this book as romantic. It felt more like a guys idea of what was ‘romantic’ if he was writing a porn movie for other men who have no clue what’s romantic and wouldn’t care anyway because they’re just waiting for the sex. I’m just thankful I didn’t pay for this crap.
