“What do you want? Come out here to spill more Whiskey on me with your gang?” she snapped, losing her patience. “Where did you guys even come from. This isn’t a motorcycle bar ya know. I have regular customers who wouldn’t appreciate your obnoxious friends.”
“Brothers.”
“What?”
“They’re my brother and you mean the old pervert and the divorced lady who were in here? Those are your regulars?”

The last thing Cam needs right now is the town’s motorcycle club taking over her bar.
The failing bar that her father left her to deal with along with a loan from a dangerous man named Venom.
On top of that, she’s trying to get through her classes without failing.
She doesn’t have time for the blue-eyed monster of a man that can’t keep his eyes off her.
But damn he would be a good distraction.

Well this was awful and not in a good way. You know how sometimes something can be so bad it’s good because it’s fun? Yeah, this isn’t it. First off, it’s straight up sexist. Slut shaming towards the women who just hung around desperate to sleep with anyone despite the fact that the ‘hero’ of the story was sleeping with them with such regular frequency that he couldn’t be bothered to know their names. Charming. How can this be considered a plus for a love interest? Which leads to the next, and frankly most important issue. At one point, before they are going to finally have sex, he has no condom and the woman says no problem, I’m clean and on birth control so it’s ok. WTF! The guy has been sleeping with women who have been pretty non-discriminating in sleep partners, what are the chances that he’s clean? Does the author really have no understanding of how STDs occur? Irresponsible to not have made some mention.

As a romance, it’s a fail. What’s romantic about about a guy ogling your body bits and referring to them as tits throughout the whole damn book? Nothing. That’s marriage friends, not romance. In fact, I’m hard pressed to be able to identify one single aspect of this book as romantic. It felt more like a guys idea of what was ‘romantic’ if he was writing a porn movie for other men who have no clue what’s romantic and wouldn’t care anyway because they’re just waiting for the sex. I’m just thankful I didn’t pay for this crap.

This was a good, quick read and I am glad I read it and got to know these characters. I wouldn’t mind more stories from the other guys in the MC. I had just a few hiccups with the story though. While the romance was there and it was genuine, I felt the author saw the couple falling in love more in her mind than what actually came out in the words of the story. It just felt like there was missing pieces of time, that had the author wrote about, we would have recognized the “falling” aspect as the story played out.

The ending was a bit lack luster when dealing with a certain character. I would have liked to have known more of what went down. But, to me, this also felt like an opening for future stories.

Lastly, there was quite a few typos throughout that I came across. A couple of times those typos had me rereading sentences to make sense of what the author was trying to say. So they were distracting more than anything.

All in all, a good read by a new to me author and I look forward to grabbing more of her work. I still would recommend, because there was a good story being told. 4 Stars!

Great book

Good girl meets bad boy biker and his brothers, add in a drug dealing shark, a sister in recovery and enough sexual chemistry and romance and you have one fantastic read.

Gave me all kinds of SOA vibes!! Loved it!

Gave me all kinds of SOA vibes!!! I loved it!!

Cam is relentless, hardworking and the most stubborn woman Kit has ever met. Juggling a failing college life, bills, and the money pit of a bar she inherited from her father, along with his mountain of debt from the town druglord, Cam is knee-deep in a burning pile of shit.

Kit, is a member of one of the most savage motorcycle clubs in the area, Savage Spades. Covered neck down in tattoos and ripped muscle, he is a beast of a man but you shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Cam judges Kit on his appearance and the reckless misfits he calls brothers. Eventually and after some bribing, she learns how big of a heart Kit has. He is ruthlessly loyal and will do anything for the people he loves.

A well written, engaging and hot read.

Great

Gorgeous men in bikes protecting those they love. There's nothing like the bond of family within a motorcycle club. The Savage Spades take care of their town. Cam needs help even if she doesn't want it. Kit and the club are going to see she gets it. Cam might just find someone she can lean on to be by her side.

Loved it!

I liked the idea, the story was written well. I loved Kit and Cam both so much. Hugo seemed like a strong friend, both physically and emotionally. I would advise anyone who likes a good romance story to read this book, and a thing for bikers helps too.

** I received this book in a giveaway but this review is my honest opinion **

I loved this book. The characters were well rounded and I got attached to them quickly which for me is essential to a good book. Cam and Kit were really great together and each has flaws that were realistic but complimented each other. The secondary characters also were well written in they had enough of a backstory and presence without taking the spotlight away from Cam and Kit.

I have read quite a few MC romance books and I liked that this author walked that line between violence to enhance the story and unnecessary deceptive violence really well. There was definitely room for your imagination to fill in the gaps which for my preference is great

I was a First Read Winner of this book and could not wait to get started since this is a genre I usually like very much. I did not love it as much as I thought I would, I just never really connected to the main characters very much. I would have loved to get to know them better and for me there was little chemistry between them. Something was just missing for me in the storyline, also normally I am not one to notice spelling errors or such, but somebody clearly needed to check the book before publishing. Having said all this I do think the Author has a bright future, I certainly could never write a book. Entertaining read, but it just did not do it for me.

It was all right

A lot of time was dedicated to the build up of this bar and how the heroine didn’t want to sell it, and the MC was protecting it, and then the “bad guy” wanted her to sell it and the MC voted on it... you get the idea. It was somewhat anticlimactic at the end. And I didn’t really get the feel of the two people falling in love. Maybe it’s just me.

okay read

An okay read with feisty female lead and angry biker. Reasonable storyline but felt a bit rushed at the end.

Kit and Cam! Where do I start? This is definitely a slow burn with minimal spice and a great storyline! We watch Cam grow and discover things with a little help from Kit while he strengthens his own personal relationships. The angst was easy on the heart. I loved this book a nice quick read that is so worth it! Now whose story do I want next?! Hugo’s or Oscars? BOTH!

If you love MC romance stash this in the TBR!
