I bought this book for the pictures and wasn't disappointed. They were stunning. The chapter on appreciating Chinese goldifsh was a very nice addition that you don't get in most fish books. I also enjoyed learning about the history and present state of goldfish breeding in Japan. My only complaint is that much of the book focuses on goldfish diseases and treatments, which (if you keep clean water and feed good food) you just don't deal with that much.
