bland is how i would describe this book. i could just not get into it and i didn't really like the characters.
i hated that the enlarged capital letter starting each chapter was covering half of the line underneath, just seems like poor editing that should have be fixed before release.
there seemed to be so many answered questions or weird writing choices.
why didn't she maintain any relationship with her father or brothers? why is she completely unaware of anything in her brothers lives re their wives names? why didn't any one contact her directly instead of contact thru the mother? what happens with her life and job? is she staying at the time full time? are they a couple in the end? or did she just have a one night stand with her employee?
would i read again? no would i read authors other works? no
Nice story. Loved both of the lead characters, and the sexual tension and build up was written very well. Wish it was longer though to give Madeline a more drawn out confrontation with her mother. That woman was cold as ice, and didn't deserve a such a sweet daughter like Madeline. I also wish there was an epilogue to give us a small glimpse of Madeline's life with Andrew and how things were going running a farm.
A short novel, easy and enjoyable to read. I liked the characters very much but would have preferred a more thorough and profound description of them. As they are, at the end I was left with the feeling like something is missing.
