Liam Baxter is my new boss, and he’s not so bad. I mean, he does require that I knock before I walk into his office. And he doesn’t want me to bring my cat to work.

Then he tells me if I don’t follow his rules, there will be discipline. On top of that, others say he’s cold and calculating. Hmm, maybe my boss is a little bit bad? But the more I work for him, the more things change. He shows me his true self in delicious glimpses.

Perhaps underneath the stern, handsome boss, there’s a man who needs love even more than he needs an assistant.

Georgia Lavine is a means to an end for me. Her father’s business is one I intend to destroy. What better way to strike at a man than to take his daughter? That’s just what I did, hiring Georgia as my assistant to spite him, and also to gain more leverage. But this acquisition isn’t without its pitfalls.

Georgia is too sunny, too beautiful, too fun, too naïve, too everything-I’m-not. She treats everyone so kindly. So much so that I begin to feel that I’m the only one who should get her smiles, her attention, and everything else she has to offer. After all, I’m her boss.

And though the assistant position is temporary -- I have a much more permanent one in mind...

I liked His Deadly Darling, so I tried this book from the same writer but I couldn't stand it at all. It is as bad and as ridiculous as Alexa Riley books in my opinion. So far from my taste.

The hero hires the heroine as his assistant but he has revenge plans for her father.

On day 1, she tries hard to do everything right but she makes one mistake. He calls her into his office and says she needs to be punished. It will be either a disciplinary note on her file or getting spanked on her naked ass on his desk. Of course, she prefers the spanking and that's where I DNF'ed this ridiculous book.

This is a cute, fun, sexy read when you have an hour or two between longer reads.

I loved the dynamics between Georgia and Liam. Georgia is the sweet, sunshinny girl that bakes cookies and cuddles her cat. While she is super sweet, she was also fun because she drove Liam crazy.





I especially loved that Liam was cranky and wanted all Georgia’s smiles and cookies for himself. He’s is the exact type of hero I enjoy, although I’d enjoy him more in a longer book that had more of a build up.





Beauty and the Boss starts out fast and the relationship is insta-everything from the start, although the recognition of love take a few days. The spanking isn’t really my thing, but I have to admit those scenes were pretty hot.

If you’re looking for an Alexa Riley look-a-like, this is it.

Liam has a plan.. a revenge plan and he has his eyes set on the perfect victim. Georgia the girl who's father broke his mother and he is going to break her.  Yup that's what he is going to do.. and at first he tries to keep that plan until his sunshine is always so full of sunshine,  he loves being around her he also hates it. As for Georgia this is her first job and she loves the people around her and just has to crack her bosses shell abit he also doesnt mind that she brings in her cat Mr. GRUMP PANTS!

Now she even more addictive to Liams punishments when she does something bad even on purpose. Until she finds out his true reason.  Can she truly trust him now.

Argumento:

Liam Baxter es mi nuevo jefe y no es tan malo. Quiero decir, él requiere que llame a la puerta antes de entrar en su oficina.

Y no quiere que lleve a mi gato al trabajo.

Luego me dice que si no sigo sus reglas, habrá disciplina.

Además de eso, otros dicen que es frío y calculador.

Hmm, ¿quizás mi jefe es un poco malo? Pero cuanto más trabajo para él, más cambian las cosas. Me muestra su verdadero yo en deliciosos destellos.

Quizás debajo del apuesto y severo jefe, hay un hombre que necesita amor incluso más que un asistente.

Georgia Lavine es un medio para lograr un fin para mí. El negocio de su padre es uno que tengo la intención de destruir.

¿Qué mejor manera de atacar a un hombre que llevarse a su hija?

Eso es exactamente lo que hice, contratar a Georgia como mi asistente para fastidiarlo y también para ganar más influencia. Pero esta adquisición no está exenta de peligros. Georgia es demasiado alegre, demasiado hermosa, demasiado divertida, demasiado ingenua, demasiado todo lo que no soy. Trata a todos con tanta amabilidad. Tanto es así que empiezo a darme cuenta de que soy el único que debería conseguir sus sonrisas, su atención y todo lo que tiene que ofrecer.

Después de todo, soy su jefe. Y aunque el puesto de asistente es temporal, tengo en mente uno mucho más permanente.





Mí humilde opinión:

Lo que me tiró para abajo en este librito de MINK fueron dos cosas, las nalgadas y lo increíblemente tonta que parecía la heroína.

Me gustan las historias cortas exageradas pero todo lo que sucedió desde que Georgia comienza a trabajar para Baxter era tan ridículo.

Las heroínas positivas me parecen geniales pero ella parecía estar todo el tiempo comportándose tan infantil, no viendo lo evidente delante de sus ojos, comenzado por cómo puede ella conseguir tan fácil un trabajo de secretaria para un CEO famoso!? Tenía una mentalidad de una nena de cinco años! Era demasiado 'Sol' para mí gusto.

Y Liam, no pude soportarlo, era un héroe que necesitó mucho para ser perdonado, no se ganó su perdón por haber sido un imbécil.

Este fue un romance de oficina insta-todo tipo comedia con un HEA pero lo encontré medio aburrido, me tenía todo el tiempo negando con la cabeza sin poder creer las maneras de Liam y lo tonta que era Georgia.

Me gustó el gato Sr. Grumpy Pants.

These two were absolutely perfect for each other. If it had been anyone else it would have been an HR nightmare. Liam wants his rival to pay for what he did to his mother. To get his revenge he is going to use his only daughter. Georgia is a total ray of sunshine. She tries to see the best in everyone and every situation. She is completely naive and a little too trusting of others. Liam isn’t expecting what he gets in Georgia and is thrown with his feelings towards her. He is lucky she reciprocated his feelings or she could have sued the poop out of him, lol. Georgia hates that she is trapped between Liam and her father and when she learns of Liam’s original plan she is devastated and torn about her feelings. Liam was determined to prove to his sunshine that he was wrong and she is his world.

Completely safe. No ow/om drama, other drama. H is jealous of any man that talks to h. H’s past isn’t really mentioned and I think the h was a virgin, I’m not quite sure. No abuse.

Liam wants revenge. Georgia wants to bring sunshine to everyone around her. Put those two together along with Mr. Grumpy Pants, you are bound to have a chemistry explosion!!! Liam doesn’t know what hits him when his sunshine makes a presence in his office.

Mink delivers again a quality read that will have you desperate for relief! She's dirtier than ever but she also manages to pull in the feels and the emotional side as well, balanced perfectly so your not just getting a steamy read you are also getting a story.

Sometimes the short novellas are not correctly edited, giving you a lovely plot with massive dissatisfaction if it comes to the execution. Miss Mink does not have that issue.

Her reads are delivered tastefully with the cherry on the top, starting from the first gripping chapter and finishing with a beautiful happy end.

Mr. Grumpy Pants

As usual, this story is full of great,laugh out loud moments. Liam does have a mean streak and what happened to Georgia at the gala made my heart hurt for her. Mr. Grumpy Pants is a great,secondary character! Completely safe and a beautiful HEA.

This one was more on the 'realistic' side- with an obnoxiously optimistic h and a super grumpy H- It was the grump x sunshine trope to the max.

It was definitely weird at times, but I love these novellas.

Georgia Lavine always tries to let her happy personality shine through and when she lands a job with Liam Baxter she knows she has her work cut out for her. Liam's surly demeanor and threats of punishment have Georgia acting outside her normal self and finding ways for Liam to implement those punishments. Even bringing her cat, Mr. Grumpy pants to work with her.

Liam has a plan, a plan that includes getting revenge against Georgia's dad. Georgia has no clue that Liam has lured her into a trap where she will lose but he had not planned for her to knock him off his feet and fall hard for the radiant beauty.

This was hilarious. Georgia is a bit naive and I think in her world it is sunshine and rainbows, which is complete opposite of Liam's personality. The chemistry is great and pretty much every scene with Georgia brings a few laughs.

I would have to give this book a 5 out of 5- star rating. This was one of the best short books I have read in a long time. It was cute and sweet and I fell in love with the male and female main characters Liam and Georgia. Georgia was always happy about life and so nice to other people. While Liam was a very serious man until his sunshine (Georgia) came into his life. The ending was perfect not to mention Mr. Grumpy Cat was a cute addition to this book. I really recommend this book to everyone who likes short stories and love like Liam and Georgia's.

This one is certainly a steamy hot read! I love these novellas by MINK! You should definitely check this one out! It’s about a young and naive women who is only hired to help Mr. Baxter destroy her father. What he didn’t count on was falling in love with her. And then her finding out.

I thought It was grumpy sunshine but it was grumpy naive-fool trope. I like her writing but this... Well sorry to say my two-year-old niece is more mature than her. She forgave him too easily and what the hell? She cried and talked with him through a phone call like a child complaining about every shit *Cringy*
It was worse. I was looking for some short novella for relief but it didn't work.

I listened to this on Audible. I chose this book as my next listen after hearing Mackenzie Cartwright (the female narrator) talk about it on Viviana's podcast. Georgia is quite naive and almost frustrating at times, but it worked. You get a taste of her liking a challenge by picking prickly people and working her way to their good side. Liam is so rigid in the beginning with his evil plan of revenge, I can see how her sunny disposition could make cracks in his foundation. I had to suspend disbelief a few times. There were things not discussed that should have been. Their chemistry is off the charts and the scenes where they come together are ELECTRIC with a multiple towel warning!! Reminds me of Secretary with James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhaal, though there is definitely a difference in the heroine. I am putting this on my repeat listen list because holy hell those scenes were so freaking hot! Ultimately, this is a short story, and well worth your time! I would have liked it to be longer with more background, but it packs a punch as is!

This is my first book by MINK, but I will definitely be watching for more - especially if she keeps Jason and Mackenzie as narrators! They are both excellent and I prioritize books based on narrator. #NarratorMotivated

The book starts with the hero, Liam, manipulating Georgia to work in his company as a way to get revenge against Georgia's father. It very quickly turns into a sort of romp as Georgia brings her aggressively cheery and sunny personality to upend Liam's world. Liam very quickly goes from looking at Georgia as a pawn in his plan to being jealous and possessive of her for himself and using any opportunity to 'discipline' her through very smexy interactions. I wasn't sure whether Georgia's naivete was feigned or not at that point and had a couple of 'Are you serious?" moments. When I realized that Georgia hid a very minx-like personality, I was able to really sit back and enjoy the ride.

Once I was able to get into the vibe of the story, I really enjoyed the ride and how Georgia was able to upend Liam's revenge plot in a really cheeky way.

Just the title alone is irresistible, let alone the mix of evil plans and lovely humour. The boss crafts a devious plan to ensnare a naïve young woman into working for him, and the way it unfolds is witty, naughty, and hilarious.

I loved this little story so much. From that first trap that lures Georgia to the wolf's lair to Georgia's sunshine that doesn’t seem to know defeat or malice. She brings joy and baked treats to the people around her that need them the most. And that includes two grumpy beings.

The first one is a cat that is a major scene-stealer, and the second stormy creature is her new boss who has more rules than a king and exacts his law in a slightly more sensual manner. So hot and exhilarating!

Dark and light combust in this funny office romance with revenge, family issues, steamy work times, and an adorable cat. Everything squeezed my heart in all the right ways 💜

Sweet, spicy, and spellbinding is how I would describe Beauty and the Boss. I had no idea what to expect, and I was delightfully surprised. This story is bursting with heat and heart in equal measures, and had me enthralled every step of the way. The fantastic characters catapulted this amazing story another notch or two in intensity and depth. There was no stopping this stunning masterpiece from unraveling before my eyes and showing me just how extraordinary is truly is!

Beauty and the beast has always been one of my all time favorite fairy tales, and I felt every comparison in this wonderful adventure. Even with this being an adult version, I could feel every push and pull and each small vistory in between. It swept my heart into a beautiful frenzy, and showed me just how exquisite love can be. Give this fantastic story a try because I know you will love just as much as I do.
