I was ecstatic when I first picked up this book. After all, it's set in Cleveland (my old stompin' grounds)! I felt a great connection to the main character (Jenna), and I really wanted to like the male lead (Luke). However, the plot got pretty predictable in a hurry.
SPOILERS:
I found the ending romance process to be just a little bit over the top and cheesy. I'm a grown adult, and instead of feeling that sparkly "awwwww" feeling in my gut as I read the final "seduction" scene, I felt uneasy. I know that I would have felt overwhelmed and uncomfortable if my lover did those things for / to me, therefore I didn't reach that connection with the imagery that I had hoped I would.
Bottom line: The story was good, but the execution made me a little bit uneasy.
