An engagement arranged as part of a business merger goes sideways when the billionaire's heir lays eyes on the wrong girl first.
Noah Rush has awaited his big break in his father’s high-powered corporation for years. If he can accomplish one last task Dad sets for him, Noah will finally win a seat at the corporate table with his older brothers, and thereby heal the rifts he unintentionally caused in the family.
All he has to do is win a girl’s heart and never let her know it’s part of a business deal.
Noah may be a philandering billionaire’s heir, but he’s nobody’s idea of a ladykiller.
Throw in the fact that the girl is a competitor’s daughter with a recently-crushed heart, and this mission is beyond impossible.
However, when Noah confuses his target with her rather unpolished cousin, and promptly falls head over heels … switching his focus back to the mission threatens to tear him apart.
Can Noah afford to choose love over both his dad’s approval and the future he’s always worked for?

I love a story that ends with a kiss, whether it's a book or a movie. That's the big payoff! So that's the kind of books I like to write, and I call my style "cotton candy for the soul"-- light, sweet, gone. We all need a little escape from reality for a while, and escapist fiction can be the perfect remedy.
I'm a moderately bad housekeeper, I have a black thumb, and it takes a small miracle to get my hair to curl. My handsome husband and I live in the Arizona desert where we're raising our five children, who never let us stop laughing.
I love a case of mistaken identity and this one made for a perfectly hilarious meet-cute because of that. Noah is eager to bring his family together again and to please his father, even at the expense of true love.
I enjoyed touring Hawaii along with Noah, Echo, and Keely, as they embarked on adventure after adventure as Noah "courted" Echo and her company in an effort to forge a business merger. Noah and Keely were fantastically sweet and entertaining characters, while ice queen Echo was a little too perfect for my taste--until she showed her human side.
These characters melted my heart faster than a Snickers left out in the Hawaiian sun. I'll never think of a massage in the same way--who knew it could be so heart poundingly swoony?
This Hawaiian based series is a billion star winner in my book.

Noah Rush is supposed to prove himself to his father by working on a merger with Venner Steel. The owners have a strange request though. They will only sign the merger if he can distract their daughter, Echo Venner from a ex-boyfriend who is "no good for her." Noah thinks he can manage a business marriage, if that's what it takes, especially when Echo is so bubbly and down to earth. Only the woman that he meets and likes immediately isn't Echo, but her cousin Keeley.
This was a fun lighthearted story full of adventures in Hawaii. I almost feel like I went on a Hawaiian vacation (thank you)! I laughed and smiled a lot. Keeley is so full of energy, and I loved the way that Noah was patient with her fears and got her trying new things. I felt like he was the first person to take the time to see her. So, adventure and simmering chemistry. This book was amazing! I couldn't put it down, and when I did finish it, I wanted to pick it back up again.
It is just a little bit of fluffy fun, clean romance. Keeley is who makes this book. Ya gotta wonder how she could possibly be raised in the same household as her cousin. How does the aunt stay so oblivious to the Cinderella treatment her niece is getting from her husband and daughter? I liked Noah too but really wanted him to come into himself earlier in the book. Noah's dad, his coworker and Keeley's uncle and cousin all seem to be caricatures of the worst people ever. The coworker is so over the top in love with himself that he is hilarious.
The story has some twists that I didn't expect and avoided some turns I expected it to take making it less predictable. It is an escapist novel so don't think too hard about it. Just enjoy the ride.
No sex, language or violence *I received a complimentary ARC of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Sweet Cinnamon roll moments and icky bird poop facials make an entertaining read
I kind of struggled with this book because there were so many elements of the story that I loved while at the same time several elements that were just so-so. What I loved was the easy relationship with Noah and Keely. They really seem to be two peas in a pod. There are so many sweet moments with them. I liked how the relationship progressed. What I found brought down the rating for me: Echo, the one that Noah was supposed to be wooing instead of falling in love with Keely, was annoying being little miss perfect in everything, it was getting ridiculous. Also I’m not crazy about stories that make me feel tired just reading about their overly action packed 2 weeks of vacation day trips and plans. However, if you want to think about itinerary’s for a trip to Hawaii then I’m sure this will give you some good ideas. Without giving away any spoilers there are some big bombs that are dropped at the end of the story that are shocking in like an oh my goodness kind of way which I wish was elaborated a bit more on. But it enriched the story and gave it a lot more meaning as it came together at the end. Lots of humor and light heartedness thanks to Keely’s sweet personality. She was down to earth and someone I could totally relate to and be friends with. Rating 3.75 stars, PG, clean sweet romance
Distracting the Billionaire - An Arranged Engagement Romance is The Billionaire's Reluctant Bride Series book four. I can’t imagine an arranged business merger marriage NOT going wrong. It certainly does for Noah even though he was trying to follow his dad’s plan.
I loved Noah but I loved, loved Kelsey. Of course, many of the other characters are likable with a few like Uncle Walter, not so much or maybe not at all. The plot is refreshingly amusing even when feelings are hurt or out of control. Some scenes seem far-fetched like the engagement party in chapter twenty-six but so much fun to read! Is this a serious read? It is not even trying to be, which is fine by me. Real life is serious enough, this is pure escapism reading. It is entertaining from the cinnamon roll beginning to the one at the end. I, for one, thoroughly enjoyed this visit to Hawaii.
The publisher/author gave me a complimentary ARC of the book which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This was a very entertaining book. I absolutely loved the character of Keeley. She is smart and always wants to make the best of any situation. She very excited to be in Hawaii with her cousin Echo on business. She has never had the chance to travel anywhere. She is enjoying the activities that Noah is taking the time to do with them on the island. However, with Echo always on her phone when they are all together it gives Keeley and Noah a chance to get to know each other.
Noah has been given the task of proposing to Echo as part of the deal Echo and Noah are negotiating. He is struggling with following his father's instructions or following his heart.
The ending has a surprise that includes Keeley that you don't see coming!
Distracting The Billionaire by Jennifer Griffith (4 stars)
The cutest most unselfish heroine - she’s a memorable one! The hero is just as unselfish, but needs to grow a backbone. That doesn’t take away from the enjoyable aspects of the book.
Jennifer Griffith can write quirky characters like no other. She made the heroine absolutely adorable! There are some pretty funny moments.
The angst almost got to be too much and just when I was ready to start skipping ahead (too much angst annoys me) everything came to a head and it was great!!
Great twist at the end! And, yes, the hero does grow that backbone!
*poor, **ok, ***good, ****very good, *****something special
A flawed billionaire anxious to reunite his family, will go along with anything his father demands if it will reunite his family and strengthens the family business. However, even careful plans go astray, and delightfully so in this book! Filled with likable main characters and so many flawed ones, it was a pleasure to read and see how things worked out. Gentle romance, beautiful surroundings, well written! A lovely escape from the harsh winter weather outside! Don't miss this different billionaire story!
An amazing story, that is so fun to read! Prepare to be drawn into the story, from the beginning paragraphs! This book is packed with mistaken identity, which leads to—well, I’ll not divulge what all it leads to. It is wonderfully written characters, and possibly very different than what you would expect, at the start. But I won’t tell you any more than that. You will be glad you found it all out on your own. Maybe. Jennifer Griffiths is an author who can surprise you, in a good way. I really recommend this book!
Distracting the Billionaire was a great read. Noah has to be duty bound to marry Echo of Veneer Steel to merger Rush Holdings and become CEO and bring his family back together. When Noah meets Echoed cousin Keeley, he is attracted to her and Keeley is attracted to him. Echo has secrets of her own, like her ex boyfriend. This book has adventures, laughter, secrets and love in it. It is a great read and keeps you guessing as to what will happen next.
A business arrangement, a marriage of convenience, a case of mistaken identity...
Keely isn’t anything like her supermodel-looking cousin, Echo. She’s spunky, enthusiastic, bubbly, quirky, and a little bit clutzy... and most definitely not a good match for the billionaire’s son who is hoping for a business merger through marriage. But Noah Rush finds himself instantly attracted to Keely.
-‘Holy freakazoid! I licked frosting off the face of a billionaire.’-
-‘Oh, who was she kidding? She wasn’t Echo, and she never would be.’-
When things begin to fall apart, Noah will have to decide what is more important- love or family?
There’s a nice little twist at the end of the story readers are sure to enjoy...
Jennifer Griffith’s latest “cotton candy for the soul” delivers as promised. Engaging main characters with delightful flow of conversation. Surroundings articulated so distinctly that I felt as if I was in Hawaii and part of the group.
From the opening kerfuffle with the cinnamon bun to the final bite, this story was unexpectedly original - I only say unexpectedly because there are only so many tropes for sweet romance.
I received an ARC of this book and voluntarily left my review.
Echo has come to Hawaii to close a business deal with Rush Holdings. Her cousin Keeley has come as her driver. At the airport they are met by Noah Rush who thought Keeley was Echo. Keeley and Noah are attracted to each other but according to the merger Noah must get Echo to marry him. Jennifer has written a wonderful story with strong and believable characters. Family, secrets, adventures and love make the story come to life.
When Noah goes to the airport to pick up a woman his dad wants him to talk into marriage for business reasons he meets her and thinks it could work. Until it turns out the bubbly girl is not Echo she is Keeley the poor cousin. What transpires is a lot of behind the scenes deals and surprising revelations. Love can be confusing. I received a complimentary copy and I am voluntarily reviewing.
This is nothing like your usual billionaire love story. At moments it was hilarious and other moments it was very serious. Almost heartbreaking at times. I loved the characters. I found it almost unbelievable that some people can be so shallow. However, in the end all things worked out and we have a very wonderful, satisfying HEA.
I really enjoyed this story. Echo and Keley arrived in Hawaii and was met by Noah. They were their to merger Echo’s fathers company with Noah’s fathers company. This story has many complications but so interesting. You are really going to enjoy this story
From the very beginning this book grabbed my attention! I couldn't not put it down. The undercurrent romance was exciting for me to read. This was a really good summer read.
She’s there to get her cousin away from her ex. He’s there to marry her so the merger of their fathers companies will be complete. But the little cousin gets his attention and then love!
This is a fun book with an exciting and twisted plot. There are many surprises and some romance. I enjoyed getting to know the characters and their families. The suspense kept me enthralled until the very end. You should read this book.
This is a cute, fun, clean book! I liked Noah but didn't like that he allowed himself to be manipulated by his dad. Keeley was a sweetheart through and through. It ends with a surprising HEA.
Oh my gosh, what a twist! The ending to Distracting the Billionaire is perfect! I love Jennifer Griffith's books anyway. I thought I knew where this was going but I certainly did not expect all that! I just want to tell Noah well done! I do not want to give anything away so I will just say that this well written, clean romance has some very interesting characters and a surprise ending. Once I started reading, I just had to finish the book instead of doing my chores!
