A lover of thrillers and mysteries, it’s no surprise that M. L. Scotland found her passion in writing stories of that nature. This Caribbean writer has been penning short stories since she found her love for reading and writing as a child, and has had her head buried in books since.

Scotland's background is overflowing with writing as the focus. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication, was a journalist for several Virgin Islands' news outlets, and worked in Public Affairs.

When she's not knee deep in writing, she spends her time creating art through photography, loving her family, and fighting her cats from tearing up her ever growing stack of amazon boxes.

4.5 🌟

This novel engages you the minute you pick it up and keeps you glued to the pages as you go along. It has an interesting story line full of suspense, some romance, unexpected twists, and a bit of danger. It all blends together to create an amazing story that just leaves you wanting more when it abruptly ends but the read is totally worth it. Despite a few grammar errors that I came across I really enjoyed this book and I honestly cannot wait for the next book!

Almost impossible to put down. It starts out a little spicy, which may catch some people off guard but the book focuses on the main character figuring her life out. And boy does she need to figure it out because girl, people are dying, what are you doing? It takes a minute to get over the MC's nonsense in my opinion, but everything else keeps you going. Excited to read part 2!

Wow. This was really good. This novel was full of mystery and was such a page turner. It kept you wanting to read more to figure out what was going on. It was definitely unputdownable (if that’s even a word).

Expected it to be a "Chosen one" type of trope, but the leading female is just lost in the sauce after being dragged here and there out of nowhere. Not a soul around her seems to know what they're doing either or can be trusted. Great read that kept me on my toes.
