The Psalm 23 Mysteries #17

My Cup Runneth Over

Mark Walters is beginning to feel like he can't catch a break when he finds a dead body in his backyard. It seems a killer is stalking young girls who work at The Zone theme park and he, Cindy, and Jeremiah will have to deal with the park's crazy characters in order to stop a killer. Even darker things loom on the horizon, though, as the clock ticks down to midnight on New Year's Eve and a shadowy organization demands that Joseph kill his wife before the clock strikes twelve.

MORE. My Cup Runneth Over, #17 in The Psalm 23 Mysteries by Debbie Viguié, is the book of “more!” in a very unique way. We see more of Traci and Mark. There are a ton of cross- over references from other books and series that Viguié has written (Sweet Seasons series, Spy Games series yet to come, more of Green Pastures references.) We see more of Martin, and I am actually learning to like him and look forward to his Spy Games series, coming soon. More Josh and Candace, and glory be, more Becca, (hold the sugar, please!!) More Liam- now we wonder about his background. More Geanie and Joseph in their silent desperation to have a child, keep their friends safe, and now, stay safe themselves. But best of all, of course, we get more Jeremiah and Cindy. Not just the lovey- dovey, although Jeremiah is improving in that corner, but we see just how much Jeremiah and Cindy have changed. Emotionally and spiritually. Jeremiah is actually thinking more like a civilian and even thinking hard about what he may have missed (he’s a Jewish rabbi) in the prophets. But I love how Cindy has become braver, stronger, and her faith is spreading to others like you might picture an amoeba moving out in all directions. This book is a turning point on which the rest of the series may hinge. By the way, this is a series that you ABSOLUTELY MUST read IN ORDER. Nuances, hints, inferences, plus gut feelings must all be taken very seriously. After all, The Psalm 23 Mysteries is a series about murder. Mixed with faith, laughter, and love. If you are strict about language, there are a few words. Definitely the best book of the series yet, this was one giant puzzle with a few more odd-shaped pieces gloriously fitting in.

As a longtime fan, I’m always excited to read the latest Psalm 23 mystery. This installment brings characters from one of Debbie’s other series, Sweet Seasons, into the latest mystery that faces Cindy, Jeremiah, and their close friends. I know when I read one of Debbie’s mysteries that I’m in for a ride and this one is no exception. Can’t wait for the next one!

New Years Eve is quickly approaching, and with the deadline for when Joseph is supposed to kill Geanie as per the directions of the secret society. Joseph, Geanie, Cindy, Jeremiah, Mark, Traci, and Liam are working as quickly as they can to find a way out, but so far they can't learn anything new. Then Mark finds a body in his backyard, and when another body turns up and they learn they both worked together, they work to find who is killing these coworkers and why. Throw Cindy's brother Kyle and Jeremiah's "friend" Martin into the mix, and they may not be able to solve every case before the year ends.
This was a fun crossover with the characters from the Sweet Seasons books. I did think the solution to both cases was more or less glossed over, but I know the series is coming to an end now so I'm assuming the cases are all going to be explained fully by the end of the series so I should find out in just a few more books. I'm still really enjoying the series and am sad it's ending soon.

About on par for the series. Excitement, not too much depth.

I'll agree with the reviewer that said you'd have to read these in order. Too many intricate story arcs and characters from earlier in the series if you haven't been along for the ride.

I don't think we knew enough to figure out whodunit. It was more of a spy thriller and less of a mystery.

What happened after the rescuer went upstairs made me laugh.

I always like the Brenda character whenever she appears in the series. It's been fun to see her grow.

It was fun seeing "The Summer of Cotton Candy" characters again. It's been a long time since I read that with a teen. A whole different genre.

Huge fan of the Psalm Series! The last few books have been difficult to get your hands on! What a relief to finally catch up with all my favorite characters! Thank goodness a friend loaned me her Kindle on which she'd purchased and downloaded this book onto!

Love this series!

My only question is,where is the next one?! This is the worst part about a fabulous series, the long wait for the next book. Can't wait to hang out with Cindy, Jeremiah, and the rest of the gang again. Hope to see them soon!

she’s tired of with this series

I’ll still read them, but the release dates are so extended I forget what happened in previous books. Feels like she is long over this series but she’ll eventually finish it.

A good read, with some loose ends tied up and some suspicion arises in this reader's mind about one of the good guys.

Mark wakes up to a dead body in his backyard. Cindy's brother is in town to shoot an episode of his show. Cindy, Tracy and Geanie find a dead body on their day off and Joseph has to figure out how to kill his wife in order to join a secret society. And Jeremiah's job? Holding them all together while trying to keep the bad guys from killing his friends! Just another couple of typical days in the lives of this group of friends.

Another thrilling installment of the Psalm 23 Mysteries. We are getting down to the last books in the series and things are starting to happen quickly. Unfortunately it is proving a bit much for Mark's wife Tracy. I always thought she was a strong character, but I guess we all have our breaking point. I just hope that she finds her footing before the wrap-up. Each step we get a little closer to finding out who exactly Mark's former partner was. I missed more intimate moments between Cindy and Jeremiah in this installment along with the story-line of how they plan to blend their two faiths. The murder mystery they work on solving was exciting and pulse pounding in parts. I like that Cindy and her brother are trying to forge a relationship after their mother went over the edge a couple of books back. As always, I'm looking forward to the next book in the series!

The story/mystery continues. I have enjoyed this series since book #1. This particular book started out slow ( for me) but when it took off it became like the others.

It started moving and the story line developed quickly. Jeremiah seems more relaxed and yet his character goes back (at least to me) to when he was not such a "good guy." Yet through it all he and Cindy are growing closer and more in love. I am awaiting to see what happens next.

Once again, Ms. Viguie has written another action-packed adventure with lots of twists and turns in the 17th book of the Psalm 23 Mysteries. Though it was a bit over the top with happenings--at times unimaginable--it was an enjoyable clean read with a touch of humor. I highly recommend it!
