When she’d left the gym to head home for a quiet night, the last thing she’d expected was to be abducted by aliens to then be thrown into a fight for life and survival aboard an alien slave ship.

Now that chapter is over and there’s another obstacle in her way—surviving on a desert planet where everything lives to kill…all the while dealing with him

Yce.

The alien she’s stuck with.

He’s otherworldly, strange, and absolutely confusing.

She hates him and the feeling seems to be mutual.

Problem is, they are stuck in each other’s company until they reach the outpost to send a message for help.

Aliens are the reason she’s in this predicament and Yce is probably no better than her captors…

Except he is...he is very different...and that's something not even hate can ignore.

This book contains mature themes and sex.

I really enjoyed this book and it was a stand out for sure. The unique aliens, relationship, and experience the couple had made the book never dull or boring. I felt the connection between the couple and the two main characters' development were all you could ask for. Overall, I really enjoyed it, I just wish there was a little more heat and an establishment of an emotional connection to the reader. 4 star rating/ would recommend.

*Review bombing due to lack of time. I apologize in advance for clogging everyone's feed 3/5*

Glowy(?) hero, the mind reader

Now that I'm done with the series, I think this book is the one that stood out the most at the end.

Stoic, logical, cold heroes that just 'can't understand' the spitfire, illogical heroine are a weakness of mine.

Yce and Diana are not the best example of this, but I think they were the stronger couple only because of how much of the story I still remember days later.

However, Diana is not the most likable. She's tough in a good way:

↬ doesn't cry in a corner while everyone else fights for her (yes, I'm anticipatorily throwing shade at the next heroine)

↬ knows her strengths in a fight and uses them

But she's also tough in a dumb way:

↬ refuses shoes while walking in the desert because... she's a girl boss??

↬ decides to focus her anger on the hero for putting her in a trance during their incarceration instead of focusing her rage on the captors.

Yce mostly carries the story because, like I said, I love nerdy heroes not understanding why their heroines don't act in a predictable pattern.

The visual aesthetic of the hero was also super interesting. His neurons are basically all over his body and glow in beautiful patterns. And when I say all over, I mean all.over.

I decided to go with 4 stars because that's what it felt like in comparison to the other books in the series, but it's not a 'compared to any book' 4 star story.

What can I say. Another winner from AG Wilde. I am so loving this Captured by Aliens series. Each book is a standalone, but reading them in order gives a better understanding to the unfolding story. Each book so far has been non stop action, with your typical bad aliens thrown in. And the author has incorporated humour through each book. They are works of fiction, enjoy them as such.

This is the third book in the Captured by Aliens series and is centered around human Diana and alien Yce. This book takes place after the second book in the series, so I am not going to write the summary for this one.

This was super fun, yet emotional at times. Both characters have previous trauma and go through some traumatic things together in this one. This was a great read! :)

MEMORABLE QUOTE: "She was beautiful...this being. This human. This woman. Wild, illogical, and unexpected... but, so beautiful" (p.85).

TW: animal attacks, mention of previous SA, death, murder, blood, near-death experience,

TROPES: alien romance, caretaking scene, kindle unlimited, near-death experience

While I liked Yce and Diana individually, their love story didn’t vibe as much with me. Diana gave up her hatred of him real fast. I mean, I guess going through multiple near death experiences can speed up love and forgiveness. Diana and Yce would have been a better couple if they’d had more time to work through Diana’s beef and then the romance.

Spice: 2/5

Triggers: discussion of captivity, mind alteration, voyeurism, spaceship crash, violence, gore, hunting, near death experiences, references to past CSA, references to trafficking, eaten alive

First, not in love with the cover. Not that that has ANYTHING to do with the book. IDK why I don't like it, just doesn't feel right. ITs okay if I am in the minority on this.

Loved their story. This series is so quick. IT IS getting a little bit tired. I say that because the author obviously paired them all up in these pods and sent them off and now they are all somehow paired with the exact right person. It doesn't leave much up for the reader to guess at. Will I read the next one, yes, will I keep reading after that? IDK, there are only so many sand cat battles I can read about.

EACH of these would be FANTASTIC as a first book. Like I'm just hopping into the series, yay! I think where the author is losing me is how they keep reverting back to landing on the planet. I need more of a progression forward in the overall story if the couples are already going to be lined up for me. its very, you get a car, you get car kind of feel. This author has a voice though, I think they just penned themselves in a bit.

Quick(ish) Review

This was only meh for me. This series focuses on a group if 4 pr 5 (I forget) women who were kidnapped from Earth and thrown into another universe where the gross toads have taken over as the Head Biznitches in Charge.

While I understand what the author is doing showing this struggle on the planet Muk as a way to throw two characters to set up their individual HEAs but the stories don’t have enough of a contrast to make them interesting. So far each book hits the big storyline beats in the same way and just leaves me bored. I much prefer her other Sanctuary series, so I’ll just wait for the next book in that one and skip the rest of these.

1 star. DNF 24%. I don’t like the heroine. She is extremely annoying. Yes she is in a shitty situation, yes she gets to be angry for that but hell woman being stubborn and contrary will not get you out faster. Ugh. Extremely frustrating. Also the fact that Yce has a glowing gem in his forehead reminded me to much of manga cartoons with heroines with big eyes and big boobs.

Yce is the third explosive sci-fi book in the Captured by Aliens series by AG Wilde. Kidnapped and sold by vile creatures who take and breed no matter who you are. Creatures who torture, rape, and murder, no matter the consequences. It is a dark, high-stakes danger with romance, action, tension, vicious battles, danger, and suspense. A series that should not be missed.

But hot on their heels are aliens that have lost everyone they loved to these creatures, hoping to stop them to exact revenge. These new aliens are loyal, have courage, and will take on all looming threats that jeopardise their lives and the lives they swore to protect. These alpha heroes find something they thought would never be possible, and that is a connection with humans in the face of uncertainty and danger.

This is why I love Alien romance. Each book in the series focuses on a different species of aliens. None of the aliens have the same characteristics which I love. This is definitely a story about opposites attracting they have to work together in order to survive the wilds of an alien world.

2.5 starts. I didn't hate the book, but I also wasnt impressed. When I pick up an alien romance I'm looking for action and some dirty romps, but this book had none of that. It felt like a slow burn to me because we really don't get any action until over half way through the book. It was very sweet, which I'm not really into when I'm picking up a sci-fi romance. It also wrapped up really quick with the alien having some ultimate power that no one knew about. That really annoys me and is a cheap way to resolve all the conflicts in the book. Anywho, I won't be reading any of the other books in this series.

So good

Such a great series! I love how easy it is to get lost in the pages of each story as these phenomenal characters battle it out. The characters are what make this series great. I can't pick a favorite because they are each uniquely incredible.

Good book, good series, some seriously protective alien men. all in all I'm enjoying this series.

The good:

-Yce. I'm still find myself kinda chuckling at the names in these scifi romances, but Yce has protective male down. He's not as predatory as Crex, which is a shame, but he reminds me a lot of Nalini Singh's protagonist Judd. Ice man exterior, burning need interior, all protective male.
-Yce's psychic powers. I would've liked to see more of them, esp the deadly 'gotta protect Diana' powers.
-Diana's fighting spirit. at some points Diana (and the rest of the humans) tend to skew a little towards TSTL- why in the world would they think they, with no fighting experience, no gun experience, smaller and weaker than the aliens around them, can hold their own in an actual fight? sigh. But with Diana she at least has some form of marital arts training. That was nice, I'd like to see more experience to back up these claims of 'if he's fighting than so am I'

The meh:

-the romance between the two felt.. ok. It wasn't bad, but it felt rushed... and Diana saw one glimpse of his penis and forgot all about how he basically kept her in a psychic fog the entire time she was on the ship- not in control of herself at all. Her rage at his actions and her powerlessness was absolutely justified and I don't think a nice big cock or a single apology should erase that.
-the apology. omg what the hell was that? he basically persuades her into revealing that she was abused as a child and *that's* the reason why she's so upset at him using his powers against her (b/c why else would someone be mad at having to control over themselves?? /s) and it's only after she reveals an incredibly traumatic experience that he apologizes while in the same breath saying he's NoT liKE tHaT mAn bullshit. sorry but that's not a real apology. Diana deserved better.

3.5 rounded up. I have been looking forward to Yce and was a little disappointed. Good story and enjoyable series but had my hopes up (maybe too high) for this bad boy alien. While its way better than most alien romance, there’s nothing new in this book and it doesn’t move the rebellion forward. We’ve seen all the bad guys and the dangerous creatures on the planet and even similar situations with the earlier books. Yce was mysterious and powerful in earlier books but we don’t get much of his bad assery in this book.

Don’t get me wrong. I love the world building but every single couple walks at night thru the desert on the same planet with the captured/rescued human they were put with on the slaver ship. In all three books they each fight sand cats and sleep in the remains and/or attacked by zehimps, a wooly Venus flytrap and are rescued by the mukkians. It’s like they are all having identical experiences planetside. With 3 outposts on the planet, it would be more interesting if the pods crashed in much different planetary terrain with different aliens to fight or different obstacles to overcome.I mean even Earth has mountains, oceans, deserts, green flat terrain.

There’s some humor here and a GoT and a Spock reference. I still love the backstory but I think we need off Muk and the journey rebellion forward. Still if you like alien romance and action you’ll like this.

This review says penis a lot

Okay, I've read A LOT of scifi romance. I'm not new to alien penis. But the author described Yc's as "3 coke cans stacked on top of each other." I literally stopped reading and texted my bestie because like omg monster cock much? By the way, I googled it, that adds to 14.5 inches and over 2 inches diameter. That's most of my arm. Now I'm like okay, well, maybe they just wont have penetrative sex? Because that is going to be literally impossible for a human to take. Welp, our girl here is a champ because she's like challenge accepted and they have no issues. I definitely allow a certain level of absurdity when I'm reading scifi but this? So that's why I was going to mark it down. EXCEPT, while I was googling I also learned that the human world record for largest penis is a whopping 13.5 inches. So, wow, I wouldn't do it but I guess it can happen.

DNF.

NOT GONNA LIE, I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO YCE'S STORY...I KIND OF EXPECTED MORE ON THE PART WHERE THEY WERE LOCKED UP TOGETHER but this one showcases the MCS' in the aftermath of Xul and the Ceqtaq's story.

What put me off?
Apart from the lack of chemistry in the first 6 chapters, I didn't fancy the heroine. The tough nut exterior bordering on feminism just didn't gel too well with me.

Even though the books keep setting the stage on the same planet, the action and adventure doesn't get old. I wish more explanation was used with how his alien powers and gem works, but that's just me being greedy for more lore

annoying female lead

This woman annoyed me. She was a raging witch! I skimmed the book since I wanted to finish the series. She was suppose to come off strong, she just came across rude, judgmental and to stupid to live.

Yce. The alien with the mysterious powers and the seemingly limitless self-control. He's blue, he glows, and he's kinda the glue holding the group together while on their mission (you know, because of his psychic communication thing). For all his big brain, he had a hard time wrapping his head around how muting Diana's memories of her time as a slave (specifically the time spent in his cell with him) was a violation she is NOT okay with.

(For the record, once she spells it out for him, he totally gets it. It just takes a while to reach that point. Because he's looking at what's for the good of their group as a whole and not at how his actions might affect someone who's had her choices taken away in the past.)

As for Diana, the lady knows how to put up a fight. Which is a good thing because she's had a lot of stuff thrown at her in her life that could have flattened someone else. Being abducted by aliens and sold as a slave? Yeah, she's not going to take that without lashing out. Being ambushed by sand-cats? Nope, she's not going out that way!

The harder she fights and defends herself, the more Yce comes to admire her spirit. Which works out nicely for both of them since they are VERY well suited.

Danger (both from the natives critters on the planet and the gross aliens who want their property back), sexy dreams, and a whole lot of fighting spirit. Aliens and humans, man. I like 'em!

Psychic Powers Lead to Love

This is another story in the Captured By The Aliens Series. It is made up of the individual stories of the human women who were captured by alien slavers and then rescued by alien freedom fighters. This author writes exciting adventure stories and I just can't put them down.

I have just one gripe. I don't understand why the author puts everything into kilometers and metric, when the stories take place in our present time and the heroines are all American. I thought the author was American from her email address on her author website, but apparently not. No American would use kilometers in a present day thinking American. An error I found annoying, making it hard for me to slip into the story myself, and totally fogging actual distances in the story that seem relevant to enjoying the story. I hate to interrupt my reading in the middle to ask how far in miles is so many Kilometers! Please🙏 , if you are European, please do this translation in your writing so I don't have to do it on Alexa during reading. Americans just aren't familiar with the metric system unless they are scientists.

Yce
Diana is a stubborn and petulant heroine and of the 5 stories i liked this heroine the least.
The story between H and h was frustrating and I was close to skimming. A little too much stubbornness.
Again there was lots of action and suspense with near death scenarios. And again the H has a unique ability to close the story.
The attraction is building, unlike the previous stories but there was no romance, despite the slow burn. Again the male parts are a bit overdone and i don't know how it's supposed to work and then I wonder about Diana's top half. In this story she's more on the generous side but in book 1 shes running naked for her life. Hmmm. Doesn't compute in my mind.
The sexy scenes are a little more descriptive but the how's still baffled me.
However, their personalities makes for the attraction in this story.
It takes quite a ways into the book for her to get her brain in order.
Again we are heading along with the heroes on there quest, only this was Yce's and Diana's story

🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐ for Yce and Diana

I have truly enjoyed each book in this series. There is just enough action, adventure along with the journey of discovering the one that is ment for you! Yce is clam and smooth as ice looking at all situations logically until he's stranded alone with Diana. 💖She shows him what it's like to truly love and inspired true and deep feeling of love and passion, the vs that once he tasted he refuses to give up. Diana is a bit wild, for circumstances have shaped her into an individual who relies on herself and makes sure she can fight her own battles. Yce bring out her true wild side she will never give up or give in to the people who tried to enslave her. While stranded with Yce she realizes he's so much more than she ever dreamed. As they hour st to safety they learn to forgive, trust, confide and finally love one another deeply. I' m truly loving this series and I can't wait to read the next boom💖💖💖

I"ll reread and might re-edit this review later.
I liked it, but not as much as the first two books in the series--which I LOVED. One of the other reviewers did point out the book & series are now painted into a corner with pairing all the couples off so soon, it takes away from the sizzle & tension of Will They?/Won't They?
For this book, I'd like it if there a re-edit & were added more twists & turns, make it so that Will They?/Won't They? is not a guarantee, or maybe both characters or their baggage interfered with the romance. Both overcame their internal programming way too easily, it was a bit simplistic.

Please don't edit out trigger topics. I LOVE-LOVE to see characters role-modeling resilience & vanquishing their demons. I cannot imagine a true alien universe where everything is sweet & PC. In-real-life, most people I know have non-PC histories ---everybody has vanquished something.

Yce and Diana

This is the third book in the series and it continues on from where book two left off. You will need to have read the other two first, because this is an ongoing storyline, with each book featuring a new hero and heroine and completing their love story.

Yce and Diana crash land on Muk in the Elysium. There they have to find their way to an outpost, fighting the native dangers of the sand planet, as well as the aliens that want to recapture them.

This book joins in where we last saw Diana and Yce, and follows them through their journey. That being said, there is still a big question, about the ‘blank time’ on the ship before they escaped to the Elysium. It’s mentioned in the previous book, but not this one, and the reader is left wondering.
We are also left with a slight background story cliffhanger, so get the rest of the series lined up ready!

Recommended for those who enjoy sci-fi romance.

Excellent book and series!

I really love this series! Though this book can be read as a stand alone, I highly recommend reading them in order. This is Yce and Diana's story. Yce is the logical, unemotional, Spock like guy. However, he gets under Diana's skin. Diana is a fighter and I really like her character. The author and her tough, but vulnerable. Sometimes that makes the character an a-hole, but Diana is very likeable.
Warning! There are a few places that discuss Diana's past. The author does a good job of insinuating what happened with enough details that you get it. She doesn't go into great detail so it's safe. However, it may trigger some people. The author has a warning at the beginning of the book too.
