They Came with Courage

She Came with courage and determination. This is a story of a young girl who came to the Avon Valley in Western Australia to be married at the end of the nineteenth century. Life was not easy, but she was supported by neighbours, who kindness, at times of difficulty, was typical of country people to this day.

I enjoyed reading about West Australian country towns. The book gives you an appreciation of how difficult it was for woman living in remote areas at the end of the nineteenth century.
