Well, this book is a lot of confused things if we don't takes the full attention the story deserves. We have two main characters, Maeda a teacher who just breath and have no purpose in his life. So he makes the decision of going to a contry in a civil war. In the other hand we have John, a soldier (and leader of one rebel group) who loves killing other soldiers and wants to be love for every man. He also has a secret of his own.
What I like about this story is how honest it is, we found a couple of persons, children, men and women who have each of them a purpose, a way to keep feeling alive, and they they explain that to us so well. You believe that you really are in a war zone, you understand that there are people who doesn't want to die in war, but to live their lifes in the middle of this. And mostly you learn about the MCs that little by little become more and more aware of their attraction to each other, that relied in each other to survive and feel.
In the end the trama is very complex, but the background is simple.
I enjoy (and feel sad when) by reading it, is super short and that end is just what it had to be.
