6 books. 1000+ Pages. Binge-read this complete, steamy reverse harem romance series today!
Magic exists. I know—it’s in my blood.

Unfortunately, not all people from magical bloodlines have powers, and at 22, I’m several years past the age they usually appear. So I’ve resigned myself to a boring, magic-less life.

Then something strange happens…

I get stuck in the middle of a bar fight, and instead of just punching the guy back, I blow a hole in the wall.

So… I guess I do have powers. But they’re unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. This shit is definitely not normal.

And it seems the magical authorities agree, because they give me a choice: either I go to school to learn to control my crazy new magic, or they’ll take it away. Permanently.

Now if I can just survive the bitchy mean girls determined to take me down a peg, the mysterious attacks on students, the three hot-as-hell guys who don’t seem turned off by my prickly exterior, and the professor who makes me long for detention, maybe I’ll get out of here in once piece.

Wouldn’t bet on it though.

Welcome to the Academy of Unpredictable Magic.

This boxed set contains the COMPLETE Academy of Unpredictable Magic series, a steamy reverse harem story intended for ages 18+, featuring a badass chick and the four sexy men who fall in love with her.

Spark by Sadie Moss is a paranormal academy reverse harem that I listened to on audio narrated by Sarah Puckett. This is the first book in the Academy of Unpredictable Magic series.

This is the third series of Sadie's that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. She does an amazing job pulling me into the story. I was hooked from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next I am loving the relationship that is blooming between Elliot, Cam, Asher, Dimitri, and Roman.

I can't wait to dive into the next book in the series Trials so I can get more of their story.

Sarah did an amazing job on the narration! She never disappoints. I love that she uses different voices/tones for each character. It really brings the story to life.

Classic adventure

I can’t stop reading I love it like a good magic world. Some kind best element of other magic world and make it work for a great adventure and the heroes are insane perfection. To the beginning and the end you’ll enjoy the book.

A bit more than 4/5th’s of way through this series - preemptive rating: 3.5-3.75⭐️‘s, rounded up… bc I’m being nice.

Reason: it feels like a wonky mashup of “hunger games”, “Harry Potter”, & “twilight” with a small dash of “50
Shades” references. That, and a few other very popular books that dig deep into the paranormal romance has been a heavy influence. It’s unique enough (a la mashup) to warrant a better than average rating, but it’s still obviously playing off of other, more popular and better written, books.

This happens a lot, I’ve seen… but this is definitely above average given the situation.

This series is unpredictable, steamy, and kick@ss good!

Academy of Unpredictable Magic Complete Series:
*****Spark #1: I didn’t want to put this book down!
The writing in this story is so good. A fine tension, sexual steam, a dangerous mystery, a firecracker woman, a sweet little sister, and four gorgeous amazing men - all combined to make this a riveting read... I’m loving this series!
****Trials #2:
Overall a good story, but I didn’t enjoy it quite as much as book one. The s3x was almost too much, somewhat overwhelming the story. But the reverse harem component is evolving into a strong unit. More hateful discrimination against the Unpredictable Magics with overt attacks - danger continues to lurk with many unknowns, and book 2 ends with Elliott badly hurt.
*****Thief #3: good!
This story has lots of twists and turns, more threats and attacks, and surprises. The steamy reverse harem progresses as everyone works together to protect and support Elliott.
*****Threat #4: A threat to the campus
Another threat and another victory — but the adversary is still unknown. So. More threats expected... A fast pace, and evolving relationships, with an unexpected ending. An enjoyable series!
*****Hunt #5: soo good
Whew - what a ride. This storyline is incredible, and kept me on edge. Ends on a cliffhanger.
****Clash #6: great conclusion to series
So much happens in this story. It’s fast paced and filled with danger and tension, along with the steamy reverse harem. Good people, a dangerous adversary, and an eventual win — all leading to a very nice HEA. I hated to see this series end!

Finished this 6 book series, Academy of Unpredictable Magic, and it was really good. It’s on KU with all books in one - same with audio, you buy “one book” but it comes with all 6.

Overall - ⭐️⭐️⭐️.9
Spice - 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5

Elliott wasn’t supposed to have magic. It hadn’t shown up in all her 22 years. Most magical people’s magic showed up during their teen years. Usually when some big emotional thing happened to trigger it. But not for Elliot. Not when her dad left. Not when her mom got sick with cancer. Not when her mom died, leaving her as her sister’s caretaker at only 18. But she was ok with that. She was ok that the magical community had basically turned their backs on them. As long as she could keep a job to raise her sister, Maddy, and give her a decent life, Elliott didn’t need magic.

Until Maddy’s magic finally showed. She was gifted with the Elemental Magic of Water and would go to school to learn how to control it. Now suddenly Elliott didn’t know what to do by herself. Trying to do something for herself, she went to a bar to pick up a man to distract her. But that blows up in her face - quite literally - when she steps between the fight of 2 men and get hit in the head, and a powerful force erupts from her and she blacks out.

Of course. Just Elliott’s luck to end up gifted with the kind of magic no one wants. The unpredictable kind. Now she’s sent off to a school for those like herself, the misfits of magical society. But becoming fast friends with 3 of the hottest guys in school might not be so bad. Not to mention a certain gorgeous teacher that she may or may not have already hooked up with before her magic surfaced. Maybe this school won’t be so bad after all. Except the anti-unpredictable movement seems to be growing and Elliott may have just landed her at the start of a magic war.

My opinion:
I liked the series. It was fun and engaging. It was a little repetitive at the beginning of each book and it gave some details to catch you up from the previous book, but if you read them all right in a row, you don’t really need this and pulls you out of the story a little bit.

I loved that Elliott was strong and humble and would def kick your ass in a back alley. I loved that each of the guys had their own personality and could stand on their own too. And I loved how they all meshed together. The banter was good. The steamy scenes were good, but not super long like you might expect from an RH fiction novel.

I think the world building could’ve been a touch better with a 6 book series, but each book was fairly short. The whole 6 book Audible was only 24hrs.

Overall, I recommend. It was a fun series. HP type world if they were in their 20s and Hermione didn’t have to choose between the good or bad boy characters.

Not awful but it borrows heavily from Harry Potter *spoilers included*

It's an ok book with an ok premise, unfortunately the author mentions Harry Potter early in the series making it unmistakable when things pop up as similarities. Such as, Professor Binns (just the name yes but it's not exactly common), the artifact in the school (not a stone but close enough), and the antagonist getting into others brains (both for mind reading and control, just like voldy). Add on some of the random useless plot threads (the transient Dad, and why did he have to be a deadbeat to begin with? The Michailovs just as a whole) and it's a slightly subpar book. BUT!

The humor is Olympic level; it deserves a gold medal.
Elliott is an amazing FMC, despite her name being a useless plot thread of its own. Strong, capable, funny and logical, this FMC does not make a single decision that.... Ok, she makes one questionable decision because an alley should never be a choice for that, but the rest of her brain is logical.
The guys are pretty solid.
The sisterhood and the process of female friendships building are spot on. Especially Tamlin. Her character gets major girl squad points.
The editing. I mention this in most reviews because, good or bad, it plays a part in easy fun reading. I didn't notice any errors so, if they are present, they aren't excessive in either severity or quantity which allowed pretty quick reading.

This omnibus is about 1000 pages. There is a lot of redundancy, presumably because the original releases were spread out, but it does become a lot by the end. Some of it you can skim ahead but not all. I did skim past most of the spicy bits because it was excessively long and didn't catch my attention but there is a lot of it. Do not try this book if you aren't an open door reader but if you usually prefer just a peek you might be able to jump ahead like I did.

~ Older characters 22-28
~ University/professor
~ harem against villain
~ no MM

☑️ non descriptive violence, death of side characters
☑️ childhood trauma, unsupportive parents
☑️ mild ow drama, no cheating/touching

✅ no cheating, no MC death

This was a great story concept about unpredictable magic and the prejudice against people with it. When Elliots magic appears she is forced to attend an academy for training or lose her magic.

The harem builds over time starting with a hot ONS who later turns out to be a professor at the new academy. In a nice change of pace, it’s the professor that pursues Elliot and wants a relationship with her.

Then she meets Cam, Asher and Dimitri. Cam and Asher show immediate interest and the relationship progresses while solving attacks against the students. Dimitri keeps his distance despite the intense banter and chemistry for reasons that come to light later. After six books we end with a cohesive harem and a HEA.

Why wasn’t this 4 stars? The repetition. SO much so this should have been 4 books. We are told the same information over and over again. Sometimes literally word for word. I skimmed a great deal of this story. There’s a lot of inner monologue and the fight scenes didn’t hold my attention. My favorite parts were the quiet conversations with the guys (who I all adored) and time spent with them. With better editing it could have been 4 stars.

Academy of Unpredictable Magic (Complete Series: Books 1–6 by Sadie Moss)

Academy of Unpredictable Magic (Complete Series: Books 1–6 by Sadie Moss) ~~ What a wild, emotional, and magical ride this series turned out to be! The Academy of Unpredictable Magic pulls you in from page one and never lets go. Riley — our strong, sarcastic, and determined heroine — gets thrown into a magical academy where her powers don’t fit neatly into anyone’s box, and that’s exactly what makes her unforgettable. Watching her grow, learn to trust her instincts, and balance all the chaos of magic, danger, and romance kept me hooked straight through all six books.

What I loved most was the way Sadie Moss builds this world — unpredictable truly fits the bill. One minute you’re laughing at Riley’s stubborn wit, the next your heart’s breaking, and then suddenly you’re swept into a swoon-worthy moment that makes you grin like a fool. Each of the guys in her life brings something totally different, and by the end, I felt like part of their circle.

It’s got magic, mystery, steamy tension, and a heroine you can’t help but root for. I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next one. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to dive into this series yourself — you won’t regret it.

When I think of Academy/ RH/PNR Books, this one comes to mind for comparison. It's definitely 18+ content, but the plot, characters and actions pull you in for the six-book journey. Each book has a sub plot that is resolved but it contributes to the overall plot dealing with Unpredictable Magic Users. Elliott is a likeable character because she comes from working class, raised her sister and has compassion for people in general. Unpredictable magic refers to any magic talent not elemental in its origin and often more powerful and destructible. While Elliott is honing her crafts, she is also developing her relationships with her boyfriends. I like that each boyfriend is well developed with a backstory and and asset to the group. In general, I liked the stories. What I didn't like was how some scenes were awkward and the elements of "typical" academy story inclusions. (Mean girl, teacher crush, bullying etc.) Luckily those academy elements were minimal and not relative to the overall story plot.

New Author-New Series (for me)

I am a big fan of why choose novels, and had never read anything by Sadie Moss before. I am glad I took a chance because I ended up loving the series. I loved the character development of Elliott and her men. Her growth was characterized by her internal and external conflicts. Her relationship with her men was sweet, and each one brought something to their relationship. Elliott's interaction with each of her men-Roman, Cam, Dmitri, and Asher, added to her character development in ways that brought the book alive, and had me feeling all the feels! The spice level was just right, and the plot developed nicely with a clear conflict, building action, and a great ending. I will be reading her other series. If you are a fan of why choose and paranormal novels, you won't be disappointed.

Amazing and hot

From bartender to badass.....that's Elliot Sinclair. At 22 years old she thinks magic passed her by until getting caught up in a fight one night awakens her magic. She's not one of the seven accepted groups of magic. She's an Unpredictable! A 'rogue' form of magic that's not really accepted by magic society. Given a choice to either attend the Unpredictable Academy to learn to control her magic or having it stripped by the Circuit (Magic society's governing body police) Elliot reluctantly chooses college and the action really starts...

With a harem of badass guys there is plenty of heat individually and together. Roman, Dimitri, Cam and Asher are HOT!!

Loved this series!!

You absolutely have to read this!

I'll be honest, I was put off by it being an academy because there are so many bad ones that I have read but honestly this is so good!!!! I couldn't put my kindle down through any of the books!! The characters are all great and well developed and their relationship to each other is developed unlike some books. All the charcters even the minor ones have great development. The plot is fantastic too and will keep you hooked. If you want to try an academy based book, choose this one! If you've read alot of them and fed up off this genre, read it anyway!

Amazing Series!!! ♥
**I read this series as individual books**
This series is totally AMAZING!!!... Elliot is a badass, strong, independent, fierce woman, who will stop at nothing to protect her loved ones and defeat the evil; her relationship with ther guys is so strong and passionate, you will love them all too, each one of them is unique in their own way, but I have to say my favorite is Roman ♥... Together, they will face an evil mage and will live a lot of adventures you don't want to miss... a MUST read series!!! ♥ ♥ ♥

Adult Academy

What I loved most about this series is that, unlike most Academy stories that feature teenagers experiencing adult situations, this Academy is actually attended by mostly adults. The world building in this is incredible and the kickass characters are completely memorable and relatable. In each book there are individual obstacles to overcome, as well as the overall goal that spans the whole series. Lots of action, tons of steam and plenty of humour. Highly recommend reading this series! 😍

Great

In many ways this story is predictable plotwise and yet it still felt fresh and fun reading it. Our main character is likable and her inner monolog is often hilarious. I very much appreciated the lack of catty high-school level drama instead relying on more concrete real world issues. Even the romance was mature and healthy feeling.

So no I don't think the plot is going to shock or surprise you necessarily but if you're in for a fun romantic adventure I'd say give this a read! I reminded me a lot of the guild codex books by Annette Marie in tone :)

She almost missed out

She grew up in the normal world, raising her sister, outside of the magical side of things, until everything changed for both of them.
Her magic is unpredictable, though, so she's an outcast, a strong one, but with so much to learn.
Falling in with her future guys makes things easier.
But as the unpredictable magical community become at risk, she becomes the face of their community and the unwilling hero, along with her friends, as they fight for their survival.

These books are absolutely amazing! I had read them all before this box set came out but I just can’t get enough. This series is one of my favorite re-reads that I can always go back to. The men are hot, sexy and have their cute , sweet sides. Elliot or Sin is a tough badass going through her own emotional rollercoaster but is able to keep a strong front. 100% recommended if you like RH and Supernatural. Sadie Moss does a fabulous job with this series! 💕

KINDLE UNLIMITED

I read the first book completely through and most of the 2nd before I started skimming pages. I love RH, but in this case I think it would have been better as a MF due to the amount of time that Elliot spends with the Prof only. I also quickly grew tired of how she was the ONLY one able to solve anything (not believable IMO - new magic user vs. years of experience) not to mention the use of 'Hoo Boy'.

I’m not usually a fan of magic themed books but felt like reading something different. I’m so glad I did! I really enjoyed this book, and not because of the reverse harem aspect. Well written and had enough twists and detail to keep my interest. Sometimes with a set of books I read something else in between to break it up, but I read this set straight through because I wanted to know what came next

Really enjoyed this series, it pulls you in for sure. The storyline was well thought out and written, you know how in your head you try to ascertain what will happen, boy I was wrong with this series. Nothing I thought may pop up did and what Sadie wrote was so much better. Loved the guys their individual qualities came through, the infliction of humour was great too. Definitely recommend this series.

It kept me intrigued enough to keep reading and I enjoyed the way Sadie Moss sets you up for the finale battle in each of the books in the series down to the last book with the show down again the worse Unpredictable. The sexual writing got pretty detailed to the point I thought i was reading a porn novel. And of course it finishes with her doing all 4 for her men (in detail). Makes me wonder about the author, Maybe sex starved.

Good read

I love it when you can read the entire series without having to wait for the book to come out. This series kept me completely entranced. I love how the characters flow from one book to the next. I like that the plot stayed the same but also every book was different. It’s great to read some thing where it’s not like you’re reading the same thing over and over again this author did a great job.

Incredible!

I loved this series from start to finish! Great characters and world building. There is a lot of cussing so beware especially a lot of taking the Lord's name in vain which I didn't like. Also, several explicit sex scenes I didn't mind so much because it is a reverse harem after all. There is mystery and intrigue. Laughter and some bullying. There's also a lot love and friendship.

An amazing series!

Wow. There was SO much in this box set, it's hard to really summarize it! I barely put it down though until 7am or so rolled around and I decided I really SHOULD get some sleep each night!

I don't recall any spelling or grammar issues, there were no contradictions anywhere within the series, the characters were all pretty unique from each other... it was a very well written series! I recommend giving it a go! :)

Unfortunately, I didn't finish the entire series.
I got very far but I was irritated by the many repetitions in each book.
If you write a series and people like the books so much that they want to follow the series, then there is no need to keep coming back with repetitions from the previous books.

With the last book, I couldn't concentrate on defeating the bad guy.
It takes so incredibly long to get to that point.

DNF

The beginning was interesting, but the author doesn't explain anything. It's a lot of telling that things happened and not showing. We're told that she has strong magic, but we're never shown anything to do with her powers. We were told there's an attraction between her and the professor, but again, it was not shown until the sex scenes. It could have been a good read if the author took their time and explained things better.

I read/listened to the whole 6 books via audible and I must say, what a fantasy world you get dragged into. I’d be lying if I hadn’t imagined what it would be like to have 4 men worship me, let alone at the same time lol some parts seemed very unrealistic but hey, I was sold. Some parts of the story line was a tad predictable but it was well written and had me right up to the end. Twists and turns, kinks and some sort of romance. What more could you ask for.
