Mountain Man

I got this as an arc. And this was fast and steamy. Straight to the point ;)

Mountain Man is the latest book in Jenika Snow's Real Man series. Gavin and Bailey meet when she gets lost while on a hike. They have an immediate connection but Bailey leaves without a word the next day. Fast forward four years and they meet again by chance. This time Gavin isn't letting her go. Their relationship is one of falling hard and fast. A beautiful happily ever ❤️❤️

Quick read and I loved it. 4 years ago, Gavin and Bailey spent one night together and she left the next morning but he never forgot her. Fast forward to 4 years later and she is back to start a new job and a new life but she hasn’t forgotten Gavin either. Each has planned to find the other but by chance, they didn’t have to look far. Gavin and Bailey were so good together. The chemistry between them was intense. Loved the glimpses into their future with the epilogues. Can’t wait to read more from this author.

We get what we need
The author really hit it out of the park with this one. I enjoyed how this couple had a past and fate or happenstance brought them back together again. The intensity of this book is off the charts and the perfect addition to the A Real Man series. Especially because the love was always there. I really enjoyed the multiple epilogues with glimpses into the future of the HEA. I don’t know what the author is going to bring us next, but I can’t wait to read it.

First things first; I love the cover of this book!
Mountain man is book twenty-two in the ‘’a real man’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Gavin and Bailey had one night together four years ago. Both haven’t stopped thinking of one another since. Now Bailey is back from college, is she going to get her man?
The chemistry between Gavin and Bailey is clear to see and I loved them as a couple. They made a cute couple.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.

I absolutely love Gavin and Bailey together!! They had one hot night in his cabin in the middle of nowhere and then she left for college. Neither of them could get each other off of their minds, so when Bailey takes a position back in their hometown it’s on. Gavin is a recluse only coming down off of his mountain home like once a month. Will they get their second chance? Can Bailey get over her shyness and pursue Gavin? Will he still want her after four years apart?

It's been 4 long years since Gavin saw Bailey but when fate gets involved and she comes back to town to stay, he's determined to make her his.....forever! Jenika Snow writes some really good Insta-love stories that are quick and easy to read. This one will make you wish you had your own Mountain Man!!

I really enjoyed the approach to this story. Gavin and Bailey had been together a few years before. Bailey left to go to school. Bailey comes back to town, and the relationship between her and Gavin is even stronger. Super sweet Gavin, made me giggle when he’s walking through the parking lot after Violet is born. Completely safe read, even during their separation.

Quick hot insta-love story perfect for a quick mid day read. Gavin and Bailey have instant hot steamy chemistry and the author gave us a wonderful little storyline that was a wonderful addition to her Real Man series.

Another meh for me. Not coz’ I’m in a book funk, but this story seems to be a rerun. Same plot also in this series. Though, the difference was the four-year gap.

This was exactly what I wanted when I picked it up, a quick, steamy mountain man romance that didn’t waste time getting to the good stuff. Gavin was everything I adore in this trope: gruff, protective, a little wild around the edges but completely undone by the heroine. Bailey being so innocent and losing her virginity to him four years earlier made their reunion hit harder—it wasn’t just lust, it was this pull neither of them ever shook off. I loved that after all that time apart, the feelings were just as raw and all-consuming, and neither of them wanted anyone else.
The chemistry is instant and the possessiveness is off the charts (exactly what you expect in a Jenika Snow novella). I also loved the “reclusive man in the mountains” vibe—Gavin’s isolation made the connection with Bailey feel even more special, like she was the only one who could break through his walls. The second-chance angle was short but satisfying, and the fact that they picked up right where they left off made the ending feel like a full-circle moment.
That being said, it is a very quick read. Part of me wanted more time with them—especially during that four-year gap or even a little more after the reunion. But for what it is (an OTT, possessive, insta-obsessed short romance), it delivers exactly what it promises.
If you love age-gap, virgin heroine, reclusive alpha mountain men, and a guaranteed HEA, this scratches that itch perfectly.

Liking the (A Real Man) series, but Mountain Man, really wasn’t feeling this book. I understand Insta romance, but I felt this story was on full speed ahead mode as it is 56 pages. I don’t think it was bad I just didn’t get into it based on my personally taste.
So far I like most of the books I have read in the series.
There was a huge age difference. 10 years difference I can do but double that, I can’t get into it. The meeting already took place and the heroine is remembering her first encounter with the hero with the opening of the story. So, the story is picking up 4 years later. I did love the hero’s story and background though, although I couldn’t get into the story.
Overall, not my favorite in the series, but kill time for me.
***I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s definitely about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the stories you read. I hope this review was helpful.

This was..so good.
It was all about the one that got away and then fate brought them back together again for another chance,this time both of them knew that they cannot let each other go again. Gavin and Bailey were perfect.

She’s back after being away for a number of years. They have both been pining for each other. When they reconnect, I’m surprised they didn’t burn down the cabin. Jenika knows how to write the hottest, sexiest scenes.

You can never go wrong with a uick swift insta lust novella from Jenika.
#22 in the series, Mountain Man follows Gavin who is a moody broody secluded Mountain man that is upset that after an intense passionate night with his soulmate, she dissapears for 4 years. She comes back to take a job in the town and hopes to reconnect with him and unbeknownst to her, she rents a house from him. They have dinner to rekindle their love/lust and the rest is history.
Gavin was so yummy. Dominant with giving orders while still giving her all the pleasure. It was only 58 pages, shorter than most I have read in the series but I enjoyed this one the most so far.

This was a fantastic read. Gavin and Bailey were great together and had sizzling chemistry. These two meet when Bailey gets lost on a hike. They have an instant attraction but Bailey ends up leaving and they don't meet again until 4 years later. Will these two get a second chance?
I really enjoyed this book. It was well written with great characters and an entertaining storyline. If you enjoy reading mountain man romance you will enjoy this book.

Mountain Man is a hot novella about the second chance romance between Gavin and Bailey. After 4 years of not seeing her , Gavin finally sees Bailey and his memories about that one night together resurfaced and became stronger than ever. He was no longer letting him go.

I really enjoyed this story! It was a short read; it only took me about an hour. This was love-at-first-sight, but after an unavoidable break, it is a second chance romance between a hot mountain man and a much younger woman. Their feelings for each other were intense, despite their 4-year break, but when they got together again, their heat was scorching! The epilogue was very satisfying! HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger.
