Who painted my money white: When greed drives everything else and everything has a price (Money Trilogy Book 1)
A ship carrying 2 containers, each containing Rs.5000 crores in 500- and 1000-rupee notes, docks in the dark of night at Kochi. The money is quickly distributed to members of a minority community using a network of 100 Chartered accountants. The bulk of the money finds its way back into fake firms, shell corporations and charities with the sole aim of destabilizing the country. A DIABOLICAL PLAN BY THE FREEDOM PARTY TO WEAKEN INDIA Greedy politicians of the Freedom Party want to ensure that the opposition can never come to power. Pander to the largest minority, enrich them beyond their expectations and ensure they will be with the party. To this end, a plan is hatched to print high denomination money and try and increase the velocity of money, thereby creating the illusion of growth. A compromised Finance Minister is forced to buy paper from the same sources as India’s rival Pakistan. Their intelligence wing gets hold of the security threads being used in Indian notes through honey trapping and comes up with notes that are almost as good as the real ones. The fake money brought in slowly starts moving around the country, driving up inflation and real estate prices, mixing with good notes. Because of a series of scams, the government gets voted out and a single party (People’s Voice) gets absolute majority. The new party responds to a terrorist attack with a surgical strike deep in the enemy territory. Pakistan decides to retaliate by flooding India with fake currency, by tripling its fake currency production. India responds by demonetizing the 500- and 1000-rupee notes and printing new notes of a different size. But despite the best attempts, a porous border with Nepal and Bangladesh results in a significant amount of the fake currency entering Indian banks. When the notes were tallied, instead of 87% of printed notes coming back to the Reserve Bank, 113% comes! The counterfeit money is used to spawn different types of nefarious activities including a plot to assass

An eye opening account of counterfeit currency network in India (especially if the author's claims of having based his fiction on reality is true)! It is particularly overwhelming to read this amidst the recent untimely death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput that's allegedly linked with a much larger drug mafia. Almost all characters have been inspired from real life politics and that makes the reading relatable and engaging.

This book of 'fiction' is worth reading since it covers many of the recent incidences in the Indian political scenario. The names of the characters have been changed to fictional names but the entire story is more or less based on true events. The book covers many aspects such as the corrupt practices under Congress government, an increase of counterfeit currency, terrorism, and inside stories that eventually led to demonetization. Relatable all along the way!

I came upon this one accidentally. I am 80% through this book (in one sitting) and have no qualms about giving this 5 stars. Just wow. Incredibly well researched and gives a very accurate understanding of Indian current events from the last ten years. From the biggest to the smallest events that have culminated into what India is today.

The author calls it Fiction, and adds, based on true incidents. 95% of the incidents are true. Dramatized, yes, to qualify for the fiction tag.
DeMon seems only the topping. Many more layers are hidden below. Esp the consolidation of the nationalised banks are all choreographed moves.

Sree Iyer qualifies the book as a "political thriller" and a work of "fiction". The book does qualify as a thriller and has oodles of politics in it. But, is it fiction? It almost reads like a commentary on the events that took place during the 10 years of the Sonia Gandhi led regime (which was helmed by the gentle soft-spoken Sardar, Manmohan Singh) Any Indian who has followed those tumultuous ten years of Indian political landscape will be able to relate to all the events that are portrayed in the book.
No other work of fiction would require the warning more than this book that “any resemblance of the characters to any person living or dead is purely coincidental”. Any sensible Indian can easily make out that the different characters are based on Sonia, Rahul, Robert Vadra, Chidambaram, Ahmed Patel, Manmohan Singh, Modi, Amit Shah, Arun Jaitley, Subramaniam Swamy and many more. It is almost an event to event account of the ten years during the period that the UPA government was in power. Surprisingly, this book has not drawn more attention to itself. The mere fact that the main characters of the erstwhile UPA regime have chosen to keep quiet on the allegations that have been raised in this book merely substantiates the fact that these aren't merely allegations, but probably has a lot of truth in it.
The main drawback of this work is that the characters who populate the pages haven’t been developed well. The author probably realizes that any sensible reader would easily be able to correlate each of the characters to the living politicians and other public figures of the day, and hence no purpose is likely to be served in tediously developing characters. At various points in the narrative, the events are explained in a tad too simplistic a manner leading to important national events appearing to be frivolous and devoid of the gravitas that they deserve. On the positive side, I feel that this book is one which needs to be read by all Indians, especially those who have endured those despairing days of UPA 2 when one thought that this country is going into a state beyond redemption where corruption and financial impropriety had become the order of the day. Another fact that needs to be mentioned is that the narrative is loaded against the dispensation of the day, and this does make the book a little less believable. I would like to describe the work as a fictionalized account of the events of the gloomy days of the UPA regime. But as is wont, there are going to be a lot of detractors to this work, and, surprisingly, the book has not raised a storm as yet!!

Truth based fiction.
Must read to understand the true depth of corruption and treachery of the Congress party and its appeasement politics for minority vote bank. The book covers many sides such as the Counterfeit currency, terrorism, love jihad, drug trade, and increased demand in real estate which all eventually led to Demonetization. Although the author mentions the book to be a work of fiction and reality of characters masked behind fictional names, anyone with decent reading on Indian newspapers and politics will agree otherwise. It is a shocking revelation of corrupt politicians at the helm of the world’s largest democracy, who indulge in amassing personal fortune at the cost of taxpayers money and laundering them to fuel communal discord, drug trade, real estate bubble and terrorism. The author has done immense research and referenced documents that makes the book impactful. It is fast paced and written in a style to grip the reader to the edge. Waiting for the sequel to be published.

1. A good time invested on this book. Every second was worth it.
2. Of course, due to compulsions, the author was forced to use 'incorrect' names to support his narrative. But to an alert citizen who has been following the day-to-day happenings, its not difficult to go bang on the person.
3. The narrative has been beautifully rendered with giving minute details of the murky world of POLITICS - REAL ESTATE - RELIGION.

This book revolves around the counterfeit currency network in India which is run by ISI with the help of their handlers and our politicians, its use to fund terror activities. The book puts light on how this money is used to spread "love jihad", trafficking girls from minority communities in India to IS dominated areas in the name of islam. The book relates the counterfeit currency, the drug trade involving political giants, terrorism and other evils in a realistic manner. It is based on actual news reports, and describes a possibility that might have existed. The characters in the book can be easily related to the real life figures.
If you are interested in politics and political thriller, then this book is a must read for you.

A Must Read for Those Who Have Nation's Interest At Heart
Though a fiction, the author has through the characters of the novel, has left no one in doubt which character represents whom in real life. An eye opening account of how a bunch of so called elite politicians can come together to satisfy their own greed at the cost of national interest and what struggles an elected PM with high level of personal integrity are faced by him to set right the situation. Well documented, almost real life case. Kudos to the author and his research work in these areas. Not a single dull moment while reading the book.

The author rightly classifies the book as a political thriller, but it's not so fictional. Anyone with a passing knowledge of Indian politics would easily be able to match the fictional characters to the real life politicians they represent. This book effectively outlines the modus operandi of the dangerous nexus of illegal drug trade, counterfeit currency, and terror funding (Breaking India forces as Rajiv Malhotra would put it) and how corrupt politicians, especially those during UPA I &II, enabled it. An easy, informative, and entertaining read.

An insightful work by an overseas Indian, based on painstakingly compiled facts, presented as fiction, but chillingly mirroring reality. A must-read for anyone interested to understand how ruthless, despicable traitors collided with Bharat’s enemies to nearly bring the state to its knees. Many of the happy endings portrayed in the book are yet to happen. I can only pray that they do.

Great read. the book shows the other side why demo was important and other connected factors. Most of the readers can relate to the actual politicians involved. There are different dimensions to every act of a politician (visible & the one with self interest and non visible to common man) The book narrates both sides very well.. A direct hot at the fake money scam in India . A bold version of "accidental PM " is portrayed and a solution is presented in the end. Wish that is really implemented. A nice read but gets tedious at places.

Though the author has said at the outset that the story and characters in the book are imaginary, it's similarity to present political characters and happenings in the country is remarkable. They can not be termed as products of the authors imagination
