Born to a middle-class family, I have always embraced remarkable dreams to my journey of life. Educated at a convent school, in a small town like Shillong, which is beautifully earthed as the capital of the abode of clouds – Meghalaya, in the North-Eastern hemisphere of India, I mastered my way to becoming an economics graduate from Symbiosis College of Arts & Commerce, Pune.

My nascent skills in writing was first recognized when I had a poem on Shillong – The Scotland of the east published in one of the daily newspapers (The Shillong Times); the interest only grew stronger hence and my will more concrete as I developed this unique interest in writing.

I have written a few poems, though unpublished, yet once in appropriate numbers could translate into another novel project.

The greatest inspiration towards fame has been my mother, who has dunked pretty much everything to ensure good education to my siblings and I.

“The Last Cast” is my debut novel and is written in light of targeting youth that have an undefeated craving for mystery and thrillers. Writing my first novel has indeed been an arduous task, as often I would find myself stationary on my desk wondering what the next words might be. After an 18 month of constant effort, have I been able to forsee this dream of becoming an author come true.

I am an avid writer and love to craft emotions and existent entities into words. In my opinion, words are the most powerful medium and undeniably the best form to communicate emotions, feelings, aspirations, desires and achievement.

I hope, in context of my first novel, one should find interest and generate the liking to my writings.

Okayish Read
Thriller novels always excite me and I was relatively enthralled to get it because of its out of box context. Felt quite disheartened because of some grammatical errors and narrative was not as smooth as it should be. It was confusing and it's not something you can connect with. First, 20 pages of it felt like a Bollywood movie.

I don't think title is relevant but it's cover page is quite attractive.

My review
As you can guess by reading the blurb that the book is basically a psychological thriller , with lot of scientific facts and mysteries added to the mix.The book is basically divided into 5 parts name
1) Despair
2) Hope
3) The Buddha temple
4) Smile
5 )A call from soul
The storyline of the book is very crisp and interesting . The whole plot development takes place very smoothly . The mystery build up is also very nice and manages to keep the reader glued but the narration and story telling is worth looking forward for . The characterisation is also simple and nice. Overall I think it is great book for the psychological thriller lovers out there.

Charioteer Creatures in Mind is a book that has a very confusing storyline. Throughout the book, the plot has no solid standing and as a reader, it is very difficult to make sense of what is happening. The situations are very difficult to make out and the plotlines are extremely blurry. The storyline is set in New Delhi, Noida and Kashmir, but unless explicitly stated, making sense of the location is impossible. The storyline of the book bears a heavy resemblance to a Hollywood movie and at times, it seems that one is adapted from the other. Another thing that aggravates this issue in the story is the extremely poor editing. Not one sentence in the book has a proper grammatical structure and at places, even the names of the characters are mixed up. The climax of the book, like the whole story, is confusing.

Coming to the characters, the only character I could properly understand was Vikram Saha, and that also to the part that he was attached to his Grandmother, who was killed in an attack when he was young. None of the other characters, be it Firoz, Akira or the professor, none of them had a proper introduction which could establish them in the story and the reason for their existence.

I would advise a thorough proofreading and editing of the book.

Review

* Content in the book is well researched. A science fiction without a sound research is kinda unsatisfying to read.
*Plots relates to the bollywood movie "Parmanu". Author can plot that book in more tortuous way.
* Writing is well articulated but on other side it has grammatical errors. Content is gripping throughout the beginning or should I say it is a page turner book.
*Talking about the book cover, it is catchy and may attract so many potential readers.
*Climax of the book is gripping one.
*Title is suitable according to the content written inside the book.

Take a bow to the author at tender age of 22, he had written so well. All I say is "you knocked me off my feet".

Is it Mysterious and thriller ?
Yes ... But author went out of league and embedded Suspense, love, morals and sci-fi in it, with almost perfect measure. The story is about finding truth, and providing love.
The story is about vikram, who lost his family, in some attacks. The love for his family, made him to went on a mission to take revenge and abort all the terrorist activities going on, which also included a research on human which aimed to hybrid the DNA with other species. The chapters of the book is names in very odd manner, namely
• Despair
• Hope
• The Buddha Triangle
• Smile
• A call from soul.
Each chapter is a lesson in itself, and ends with some enlightening values. The ending of the book was very special and will let you to keep guessing, until you actually read it. It was a banger for me.
This is the perfect antidote of anecdotal scenes that left you open mouth and thoughtful head.

Name of the book - Charioteer Creatures in Mind by Abhishek Mishra.
Stars given - 5 on 5 stars.
My take on the book-
24 hours power cut and with only some 29 % of battery I started this book. Yeah I am mad and I know it.
This book had a lot of aha moment for me, cause I Manali Dey adore a few things barring thriller and romances and this is psychological thrillers that make you believe in conspiracy theories.
Well if not believe then at least take note of them when next time you hear someone spouting something in crazed lines.
I'm the middle of the book I got a warning of low battery and used my laptop to charge my phone and finish this one.
Coming back to the book that story follows the journey of a protagonist who finds bits and pieces of information about experiments going on. You might think that I along with the protagonist am against the betterment of science but that's not the case, these bad peps are experimenting on human beings… ouch! I know.
The language of the book is simple and ever flowing and full of punch that made me forget (well almost) my power cut woes.
Ps Eid Mubarak to everyone.
Sending love everyone's way.

Review:
This book reveals itself as a perfect psychological thriller. The novels hold a story that is very intriguing and is composed of a number twist and turns and dramatic turns that glue you to this book. The novel has been expressed in 5 parts named Despair, Hope, The Buddha Triangle, Smile, and Call from Soul. The story deals with human psychology which makes it even more amazing. Character sketch for each character especially the protagonist is simply amazing. The amount of details that have been given helps you draw a perfect picture of the character.
the author has used really simple grammar that will help the readers to understand the plot really easily. The tile of the novel goes hand in hand with the story that the novel holds within itself. Not being a strict critic but there are few human errors which when neglected make this a really amazing piece of work.
The amount of hard work that the author has put into the novel can be seen and which makes this novel worth a read. I myself had a great time reading it.

After reading the blurb and when I saw the cover , I was really intrigued to read this psychological thriller. But , I'm a bit disappointed. This book could have been brilliant ,with an unique plot ; but for some reasons it failed to do so.
Positive points :
. Beautiful cover
. Unique plotline
. Fast paced . Buildup of the story is nice.
. Nice language.
. Character of Vikram is excellent.
. The story has five parts, and chapters are short, so it's easy to read the book.
. The parts where there are some points about Budhism is well researched and well written.
.
.
Negative points : . How the title is relatable to the story is not clear.
. Poor editing.
. Some chapters or paragraphs are repeated two- three times.
.
.
The storyline is somewhat messed up, it's hard to understand who is talking and what's happening in the first few chapters.
However , the book picks up pace from part three , and story gets a bit of balance back. The ending was unpredictable and impressive. Altogether , it's a good book for one time read.

Charioteer Creatures in the mind is a good Sci-fi read with a protagonist man with a bad past. He is an agent along with his four friends and they are shown carrying research to cure humankind from terrorism and other happenings of life.

The patients who were subjected to these experiments acquired mental disorders and Vikram, the central character is also a victim. During his childhood days, he used to be considered as an underdeveloped child as he had a tendency to talk to his own self.

The language used throughout the book is easy but the vocabulary is needed to be improved. Considering the first half of the book, it's embedded with various happenings.
The book shows humanly feelings such as love, care, revenge, jealousy, courage and the role the Indian army plays in saving citizen from brutal hands of terrorism.
As pages turn, happenings continue but I couldn't connect with the plot. Undoubtedly storyline is uniquely plotted, and I liked the vibe the book creates. The story is fast-paced with well-developed characters. The cover page looks appealing which makes it irresistible picking up the book for the next read. Overall it was a good read and I would like to recommend this book for your leisure.

There are moments in our life when we need some external drive to accomplish a task of importance. We might be living a life of an astray individual when something hits us and we become goal oriented.
For Vikram, it was the tragic loss of his family which pushed him to see every terrorist with identical disdain. He is ready to go against all odds and spoil the intelligently crafted plans of terrorist Firoz khan.
When Vikram realises that some immoral activities are going on under the disguise of research, he makes it his ultimate aim to nab the culprit and dislodge his enterprise.
The story with a lots of twists and turns, filled with suspense and various crests and troughs reaches its conclusion with a very impressive ending.
The characterisation is done really well. Generally, the thrillers are filled with so many people that we, as readers find it difficult to keep a tab on the sheer quantity and miss the intrinsic nature of protagonist but here with hardly any leads, author has invested his energy on waving the plot and is successful upto an extent ,only if he took extra care in editing and avoided redundancy.
The cover page is enthralling and with several mention of buddhism and other psychological and spiritual aspects in the story, the chapters are enlightening and imparts special learning. We come to know about Vikram Saha at so many levels. The depth is intriguing.
For all the mystery lovers, its a good one time read.

However, I will say this that poor editing, grammatical mistakes and repeated contents made for a poor reading. One of the things that made it near impossible for me to continue is the repeated (....) that is included every where.
But the story is intriguing. The cover seemed like that of a spiritual book. I liked it though. So you should definitely give it a read.

I picked up this book due to cover and title and this book surprised me. This book turned out different than I imagined. The book has very complex and unique plot. I will briefly summarise that. The book has been divided into five parts. The protagonist of the story is Vikram Saha. He is an agent with Indian intelligence. Loy is his assistant. The other important character is Firoz Khan. He is world’s most wanted terrorist. He always wanted to destroy India. The story opens up with memory of Saumya. Vikram lost his family in an attack. Now the other component of the story is a research centre has been carrying out some tests. The human specimens have now acquired mental illness. These patients were subjected to hypnosis and telepathy. Vikram finds out experiments that tap into the minds of others. Now read the book to know how it’s useful for him. I loved the plot as it’s filled with thrill and mystery. It is quite complex and story moves at unpredictable course. Number of twists and turns have been plotted and I liked how story entirely took turn and back to relevance at the end. I like how author has incorporated components of Buddha or Buddhism. And definitely usage of concepts of psychology and subconscious mind, that was amazing for me. The author has done good research and then penned down. The language of the book is simple and easily understandable. The story moves at faster pace and written to the point without any unnecessary stretch. Overall good one.

First and most important: this thriller was highly entertaining. And suspense is main point in this book.

This book was so easy to read, I was purely enjoyed spending my time with this book. I enjoyed the rush and suspense it's exciting. It’s brilliant, its devious and it lifts the book to a whole different level.

Officer vikram got a case in which it is said that human are used as lab rat to conduct experiment but that was just not it. There are some dark things going on. People are going mental.

I liked everything in this book about how author create suspense and how it climaxed. Characters are great and well developed.

It's absolutely giving me DETECTIVE vibes. 😍

Things I don't like
It started to fast at beginning.

Charioteer creatures in mind

It's a thriller. The story is about an Indian intelligence agent named Vikram Saha. A covert research has been going on where human specimens have been used for these tests and this led to some mental illness amongst those patients. There are lot more things happening in reference to this patients and research and Vikram has been trying to unfold those mysteries behind this when he got to learn about those certain elements.

The book is divided into 5 parts namely - Despair, Hope, The Buddha Temple, Smile and A call from soul. The story basically deals with human psychology. A very well written in an unique manner and a very different approach has been used in mentioning the scenes. The story itself is very interesting and it makes a very enjoyable read. Vikram past life has also been mentioned here where how he have lost his grandmother. There are other few notable characters like Firoz, Loy, Ali, Akira and Ekio.

The storyline is extremely rich and engaging. It's more like psychological thriller. The story will play with the minds of the readers. It will deeply connect and make you wander what's going on. The language is easy though. The narration is a bit lengthy what I felt. The characters have been well sketched and the scenes have been well described. The title is totally apt for the storyline. But by looking at the cover I felt it was a spiritual read. Overall it was a great read, I will definitely recommend it.

RATING: ★★1/2 (2.5/5)

The book promises to be an adventure in the subconscious realm. In its first impression, this book appears to be an interesting combo of a psychological thriller and science fiction.

The plot follows an agent in the Indian Intelligence team named Vikram who gets indulged in a research that uses human specimens and subjects them to telepathic and hypnotic treatments. As they infiltrate into the human minds to delete figments of ideologies and thoughts that might trigger terrorism in future, more secrets emerge which threaten their existing knowledge. Will they be successful in this seemingly dangerous venture ?

The title of the book is surely very catchy and gives off real eerie vibes. The topic that has been chosen by the author, along with his idea of blending the subconscious aspect of the mind with the tangible reality we exist in, is fresh and well thought of. But the book somehow lacked consistency and momentum. The plot was very confusing at times, with too many things happening simultaneously. It was difficult to link the chapters and the overall storyline thereby often stumbled and got blurry. At times, the events taking place were too unrealistic and far-fetched, which made the book give off unnecessary fake-action vibes. The characterisations were not proper, and there was little effort to explore their individual sides of the story. On top of that, the full-fledged grammatical mistakes worsened the reading experience. The book could have had multiple rounds of proofreading and formatting….which somehow wasn’t done at all. The sequence of events and the overdone complications were often annoying, and the climactic scene was also difficult to make sense of.

Overall, the book could have had a far better execution if the author had tried to distil down the storyline a bit. His imagination and courage to attempt writing this kind of one-of-a-kind fiction is really commendable, but somehow the book didn’t stand out very well. I will extend my recommendation of this book to readers with a fair amount of patience, and of course to those who like thrillers and science fiction genres!

The thing about some psychological thriller reads are the fact that it plays so well with our minds.

This book is about an ongoing research by the protagonist, where Human specimens are used. But, this led to some mental issues in the patients, and further on. The protagonist, Vikram is an agent of the Indian intelligent.

The story will leave an impact on the reader.
The book is primarily divided into 5 portions. Each chapters are short, and has been brought out with great research.

Coming to the characters, there's proper character description for The protagonist, and that's all. There could've been a bit more advanced character development for other characters as well, which would've made it more easier for the readers to understand things clearly.

The plot is unique, and it isn't those clcihe thrillers. The storyline has its own uniqueness, but it wasn't maintained. The cover is eye catchy, and the language used is simple. The narration was nice.

Overall a book with an amazing plotline.

Charioteer Creatures in Mind is a story about Vikram Saha, an intelligent officer who lost his love and his grandmother.
A research institute conducted a secret operation and the people subjected to this have got a mental illness...how this research effected and helped the intelligent agency, and how Firoz and his daughter are related to this, one must read the story.

Review:
- The cover is attractive and apt for the story.
- Looking at the cover, title and description I was very eager to read the story and the storyline didn't dissapoint me.
- A very unique plot which could have been more interesting if narrated properly. The story needs a good editing because most of the times, It was difficult to understand who is speaking what.
- There were many grammatical errors and I somehow felt that made the revelation of tge suspense less intense.
- I liked the characters of Akhira and Loy, their conversations were fun.
- The initial few chapters were very interesting where Vikram, Loy and Ali were on a mission and the train scene was narrated well.
- The emotional connection between Vikram and his grandmother was explained well.

Overall, its a nice story which would have earned five stars with a bit of editing and proof reading.

REVIEW:- CHARIOTEER CREATURES IN MIND
AUTHOR:- ABHISHEK MISHRA
PUBLISHER:- PBLISHING

Such a great psychological thriller and story of this book also very complex and new. Author would surely applauded for writing such story with such unique concept.

This book is related to mental illnesses and psychology.
A main protagonist of this story is "Vikram Saha" an agent at Indian intelligence.
A research center doing some tests on humans and these tests led them to the mental illnesses. For busting there research, indian intelligence team sended vikram there on mission to investigate everything. And here's the real thrill of the book starts.... here stars many Mysteries, Suspenses, and many other things whome everyone unawares.

Whole book devided into 5 parts named Despair, Hope, The Buddha Triangle, Smile and A Call from Soul.

When I'm reading this book some questions like, What if someone acquire our subconscious mind and make us their slaves, What if someone making us to see what they want, Was human mind that weak to be manipulated by anyone? Like these questions surely comes in mind.

I loved the plot of the story it's totally unique and different from others.
But the narration of the story is not that simple that anyone can gasp easily but after the full read everyone surely connect with it and gasp everything with all the concept clearance for sure.
I personally don't like the cover that much but it's decent.

Overall i enjoyed it and really like the unique concept and storyline narrated by the author.

The central concept of the book was quite intriguing but the strength in narrative needed to back that concept needed was severely lacking. The entire narrative was in surplus of grammatical mistakes. The sentences structure was quite bad, too. There was no such writing style that was established while writing the narrative and whatever "writing style" there was, was just too confusing. It was quite hard to understand what was actually going on in the storyline and sometimes, it absolutely made no sense at all. ⁣

The plot was supposed to be interesting with a sense of mystery but once the again without any strength in the narrative, this too lost its potential to be anything good.⁣

Not just having a good plot and imagination is important for a book to be good, the narrative is quite important, too. If words are not used properly to get the author's thoughts across to the reader then there's actually no point in having a good concept because the reader is not going to be able to understand it anyway.⁣

Overall, the central concept of the book had real potential (albeit, the concept wasn't a unique one) which was thoroughly wasted.

Book : Charioteer creatures in Mind
Author:Abhishek Mishra

This is a psychological thriller book with a unique plot and presentation. The author has made maximum use of imagination and fantasy and woven it along with realistic situations. The story is about Vikram Saha, an inspector who tries to solve mysteries related to a laboratory. He gets information that human beings are used as rats in this laboratory and experiments are done on them, leading them to mental illnesses. People are exposed to hypnotisms and telepathy during this experiments. On his quest to solve and collect more information about the laboratory he ends up finding many things more than what he expected.
.
.
.
What he finds out and how it effects his life is what follows after. The story line is complex and unable to follow in the beginning, but eventually it becomes interesting. I couldnt make sense of the title also.Still, the author must be appreciated for this effort in this age.

Overall, a good one time read.

When I started reading this book, it took sometime to connect to the story.
The beginners might be confused as well but once the story proceeds, readers can get the clear concept of the book.

The best is always within us, we only need to keep searching for it: Abhishek Mishra

Title: A Talk To Your Mind

Rating: 3.7 ✨

Anyone can find it, a book utterly based on mind by its cover and name. No, none is wrong in one's perception as this book deals with the rules, reactions and outcomes of mind through a man of Indian Army, Vikram. Book is divided into 5 parts named Despair, Hope, The Buddha Triangle, Smile & A Call from Soul. Every part has its uniqueness and knotted with the previous one. Every part starts with the titles mentioned above with a background of grey which is not doing its job quite well as author expects. It can be attractive with different font, style and colour. Our mind feeble with the enviornment, incidents & our own imaginations. What we imagine that will reach to us in form of ideas and ideas ultimately show us the reality on the basis of actions, we do upon them. This is the rule of mind itself. In short, you will find that story has a different boundary connected with the mind's stuffs. It's upto you how you consider it, as just a story or as mind's action-reaction. In my opinion, book can be more impressive if it had good editing. I'm saying this because narration is ruined by many grammatical mistakes. There are some paragraphs & lines which are repeating, such repetition may bother readers. I can assume authors did a great effort while writing this novel but he should go for editing to make it better. Well, I have no problem with its title and cover. These are far better than these can be. Overall, a mind-talker read.

(Note: Rating is based on errors not on story, I specially give 4.8 ✨ to story)

MY REVIEW:- ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The cover of the book is attaractive and title is apt. While language of book is easy and lucid to understand. While story is divided into five chapters. I loved the plot as its filled with thrill and mystery. The way author used the concepts of psychlofgy and subconcious mind that was amazing for me. The storyline moved at faster pace and was wrtten to the point without any unnecessary stretch. Excluding some grammar mistakes, typing mistake and little confused narration at some point which give discomfort in reading to readers. I request you to re-edit it because storyline is just power pack thriller❤❤ Recommended to all👍

Look at the cover! Does it attract your attention?
Well it sure did the trick for me. The cover is highly attractive, eye catching with an extremely intriguing book cover.

I could connect with the story instantly since it’s based on a similar plot like we get to see in real life incident movies like “paramanu” ; “mission Mangal” ; and other secret service missions. The story is about the main character Vikram, who’s an agent with the Indian intelligence. Vikram has had a tough past especially because he lost his grandmother to terrorism, and this particular tragic memory keeps him motivated to work for his country. Following the same determination, to expose the wrong people, he comes across an interesting covert mission where some science related experiments are being conducted for research purpose, taking human specimens, which did not turn out as expected. And now lay ahead a bunch of people with twisted brains. The story is all about how Vikram tackles this tough situation and brings things back to normal like before.

Though the story is interesting in itself, but having watched too many movies on similar lines, I was also somewhat disappointed as there could be some twists in the story which would make it a better read, also grammatical errors proved to be a troublemaker in the flow of reading.

Owing to the details, I’d recommend it to readers being a decent one time read.

The title of the book is one of a kind and the cover really intrigued me. I was interested to read this book as soon as I read the blurb. I would say I was very glad that I picked this book as it was unique, thrilling and very engrossing till the end. It is a mix of Sci-fi, love, values, and national spirit.
It is the story of Vikram Saha, an agent with the Indian Intelligence. He has lost his loved ones in an attack. The story picks up the pace when Vikram finds a research center that does experiments on human brains inside the headquarters of the Indian Intelligent Service. The human specimens used for the research have acquired mental illness. These specimens were put through hypnosis and telepathy. How this information is useful for him is the rest of the story.
I liked the narrative of the story. The characters Vikram Saha, his assistant Loy and of course the villain Firoze Khan, the terrorist are very strong. They add much depth and flavor to the story. There were some concepts of Buddhism interwoven in the book. Each chapter proves to be a lesson in itself. It was thrilling to read this book. It builds up to a nail-biting finish. The ending lives up to the build-up. I was lost in the book as it was so unpredictable and I wanted to finish the book sooner to know the ending. This thrilling plot definitely deserves a 4/5.
