This short book (audiobook is 2 hours and 46 minutes) is zippy, listy and should be best used as an intro to working on your life.

There are 20 areas included that you might want to seek some improvement in, and then each has more lists of things you can, or should, do to get there. It's kind of like reading an expanded version of the ten commandments while sticking to a strict word limit.

When it comes to how you might use this book, I think it's best as something that draws you to focus on a particular area, such as health or finding your purpose, and then direct you to go off and read something that is more of a specialist personal development book in that chosen area.

This is kind of like listening to a whole lot of buzz feed articles. 20, I suppose, eh? Get more sleep! Drink lemon water!

They name drop a lot of the current zeitgeist books so it might work if you don’t want to or don’t have the time to read them. But -hand wobble- I didn’t find it that inspirational.

It feels like the lead magnet to get companies to go to their website and sign them up to talk to their staff at the next conference, you know? It all feels very superficial.

I listened to this as an audiobook. I was not hooked and found myself switching off to some parts which isn’t like me and an audiobook. It’s basically a summary of a lot of other self help books, with brief outlines of 20 things to improve on (I wouldn’t say fire up your life). It would be a good starting point for someone who is just starting to focus on improving themselves, or even learn SMART goals, but too short for someone who wants to deep dive into one area.

Audiobook - I do not feel ignited at all! Basically felt like it was if you stop doing this you’ll be better but you can’t just cut stuff out of your life 🤷‍♀️
Giggled when it told me to stop going out for lunch and shopping and that I don’t need to earn more money but I need to stop spending. Like whattttt

This book is a great starting point for someone looking to fire up their life. 🔥

I really enjoyed it, so much so, that I read it twice! I took notes the second time around. Highly recommended.
