Stay Strong by Audrey Dean ⭐⭐⭐ TW: Mental Health Discussion
This book was a lovely and easy read for passing the time at work. At less than a three hours in audio recording Stay Strong gives a brief and simple explanation into how to survive and accept those negative emotions.
This book is a brilliant introduction to self-love. Telling readers to ask themselves why do I feel this way and how can I understand my emotions better, this book is massively insightful and helps readers to truly understand themselves. It encourages readers to move on and become the best version of themselves.
Didn't help me personally. Some advice was too vague and general, perhaps even boring. Other parts didn't align with certain feelings or situations.
If you're an anxious student who feels sad or angry with yourself a lot but don't feel ashamed per se, then this book is likely not to suit your specific circumstances.
3.5⭐️ This book cover stood out to me when I was looking for a new audiobook to listen to on a morning walk. I am working on finding my peace and bettering myself and it looked great. It was an easy listen and I would recommend it as a good insight/overview of bettering ourselves, but it does not in depth of the areas. One of the sections reaaalllly resonated with me, it was something I needed to hear and I’m so pleased I chose to listen to this book.
A nice quick easy read with a few gems sprinkled through it. Super easy to digest and a great start for anyone looking into self love. There is nothing groundbreaking about the content in this but i definitely took bits a pieces away that will help me in my life.
2.5 stars This book was alright. It was short and provided some helpful tips, but it felt generic and it didn’t go in depth. This one is middle of the road for me
