With all of his mates assembled, Sawyer Smith should be ready for his own version of the end game. He must defeat the god of air and restore both of their broken magics to all of the realms. There’s only one problem: he still doesn’t know how to do it.
HIs brother is a god and is raising the forces of darkness against Sawyer and his mates more quickly than he can mount a defense. It’s time to fight, but Sawyer has too much to lose to risk disaster. As the final pieces of the puzzle fall into place, Sawyer is faced with a task that seems impossible. He must go into battle without the knowledge or power to win.
So many of his questions remain unanswered, but Sawyer knows one thing: He will stop at nothing to keep his mates safe.
Macy Blake believes in unicorns and fairies, in moonbeams and stardust, and that happily ever after comes in all colors of the rainbow. When she’s not busy at the day job, she loses herself in paranormal romance, living vicariously through her favorite sexy fictional heroes. These days you can often find her pounding away at the keyboard, trying to capture the magic of her own worlds.
What's an ex-God to do after he eventually defeats the Big Bad and regains his God powers, knowing full well that he can't safely remain in the human realm, while his 8 loving mates can't live in the God realm? GAH!
That very question weighed heavily on Sawyer's mind throughout a large part of this book, and I kept praying that they would find a way to remain together. As in fully, completely together, the way they had been for all four of the previous books.
I shouldn't have worried so much, though, as Macy's HEA felt very satisfying when all was said and done.
I will say, though, that the first Big Fight scene was DEPRESSING AS FUCK as
That was one serious "Abandon All Hope" moment, let me tell you, folks!
Also, the second Big Fight scene was a bit of a letdown, because it felt so easy, with literally no tension at all. I just expected it to be more lethal and suspenseful, I suppose.
This was the least steamy of the series (or so it felt), in my opinion, which I appreciated, since a plethora of sex scenes isn't required for me to enjoy a story. Too much pene and my eyes glaze over.
I really loved seeing Dakota finally come around to fully accepting the others as his mates, in all possible ways. Yes, I mean sex, too. Plus, meeting Dakota's rag-tag family was a special treat that I hadn't anticipated.
And we were treated with just a bit more of my adorable Ollie that, while not being many actual pages, I still found especially touching. I really want to see Ollie get his own book. YA, anyone? :- )
In regards to the story line's earlier potential for MPREG, I'm happy to report that no one was birthing any butt babies, so yay for avoiding details about sticky, gooey "membranes".
However, the epilogue did contain a very interesting plot twist containing , which I'm goddamn *DYING* to see where that goes, since Macy had said that the end of The Chosen One series will not be the end of this universe.
I personally cannot wait to see where she takes us next with those spinoffs!
Overall, while I really liked this book a lot, and was thrilled to see how the story ultimately concluded, it sadly wasn't among my very tippy-top favorites of the series, but I'd still rate it at around 4 stars.

I had forgotten what all happened in this one. Glad I did a reread. Now I want more 😡
Orignally read Februray 2020
Wow...is it truly the end? Everything has led up to this book. All anguish, the tears, the laughter, the hot sex... It's the final showdown between the brothers. All the mates are coming together and everything is finally in place. Mistakes are made. Truths come out and plans are made. Can Sawyer win the war with all his mates intact?
I feel like I've waited forever for this book but really it's only been 6 months or so. I have absolutely loved this series. All the mates are unique and you can't help but love them. Well...*looking at you yellow eyes* But even him, once you understand where he is coming from, you can't help but let him in your heart just a little.
Now, I will say, I'm just a wee bit disappointed. I know, I know. It's still awesome but I kind of felt like things were a little rushed. The final conflict is Not that it needed to be dragged out because jeez...it's been going on all through the series. But I just expected a little more "umph" there at the end. It was kind of anti-climatic to me.
I was also disappointed we didn't get more of Pip. He was an awesome addition to the mates, the cute little sassy twink he was. So I wanted a little more.
BUT, BUT, BUT...the epilogue was worth it all and the hint at the end there might be, maybe, possibly more to come???
This will definitely be a series I read over and over.
(Reread + adding tags in April 2023) Gosh, Do I love Sawyer & his mates! As it's a reread, reading all the extra casts was easier. I still got so many surprises lol. Sexy times hot! SERIES REVIEW (Chosen One, Book 1-5)
I'm in Love & Awe with this series❤. With the Romance, hot Gay Sex & Adventures, it kept me on my toes! I popped two of my cherries with this series: This was my 1st by Macy Blake; My 1st Gay Harem, Fantasy & PNR made it all the more perfect; & the largest harem I've read till date, omg 9 guys?! I binge read this entire series😘.
The Individuality of each guy was Awesome & how we gradually meet'em. I loved the Multiple POVs! We have our main guy: Sawyer; Smart, Complex, Creative, Delightful; The Chosen One, Human/Magical Null/God (?!?!). Then we have the 8 Guardians...Who's attraction to eachother & Sawyer maybe unconventional but with Good reason! *Ahem, Mates* Draco; Growly & Protective; The Dragon, Sawyer's Friend. Henry; Smart & Guy Next door Vibes; The Mage/Seer. Eduard; Elegant & Charming; The Griffin, Billionaire. Andvari; Quiet & Observant; The Vampire Warrior. Saeward; Sweet & Gentle Giant; The Hippocamp. Loch; Funny & Sleek; The Fae Warrior. Dakota; Dark & Deep, the one who took the most time to warm up to Sawyer (Reasons..!); The Lynx. Pip; Cute & Hilarious; The Kushtaka. I'd have liked to have more time with him, as we get him in last book.
I love all of them so much! I adored all the Various side Characters here & how everyone talked most things out. The World-Building Is good (Enough to sustain The story), Macy made her whole Myth world, it's fun! As the threat gets Revealed, Dangers increases. Secrets Found, Pieces of the Puzzle Stringed. The Finale was great! I hope, if I have time, I'll read the other books in the Chosen One Universe Soon! #MustRead
STOP AT NOTHING Series Finale, Do I need to say more? *Wink* This one starts where the previous one left off! Pip's mom came & is a little overprotective (Reasonably!). When Our guys tell Philip "Pip" about everything, the reactions are Fun! The subsequent Pip action (Individual & Harem sex) is HOT🔥. I loved seeing Dakota warming up to the guys here!
The War is ON. ~Henry's Uncle+Mate visit, Safeguarding Kids (Nick's), Fae travels, Playful Dakota, The Vision... The 1st Battle with Sawyer's Ex god of a brother, was depressing AF, Good guys lost *Tears*. Atleast they were ok. ~All Fell, Sawyer & Mikey in God realm, Secrets Exposed... I love how Mikey (& others) woke up finally & Sawyer comes back! Dakota's family visit was a fun addition😘.
If Sawyer came to his powers, he'll have to go to the God realm BUT his mates can't.. This worry plagued Sawyer, I was anxious too. But Sawyer will do everything to keep them Safe. (Macy solves this wonderfully!)
Back at home, Dakota finally breaks the last of his walls & accept the other 7 Guardians + Sawyer as his mates (Cue Harem sexy times, like omg, So. Many. Guys. Together!!!) But then..~Dream Quests, Old Gods warning, Draco's Kidnapped (+Cecil's hurt) *Oh no!!*, Time to End this war Once & for all... This 2nd Final Battle was Fast-paced, a little Anti-Climatic, but I loved it! It's due to the fact that Sawyer found How to stop the ex-god, plus a way to Stay in the human realm *Yay!!*. [Alpha-Omega & Goddess talks!] I'm so happy & Epilogue (Dragon eggs!) Is Gorgeous & Swoony❤.
I hope we get more in this world! These guys will always be in my heart😍. I think that's the reason I wrote this Series' reviews so late. I hadn't wanted to leave it. I'm so glad to have stumbled upon this series & Macy Blake's books!
Reread eleventy-billion 10/14/2022 I still stand by previous thoughts. I would have been thrilled with just the original six mates. I never warmed up to the final two. Still wishy-washy about my feelings for the end. Oh well, going to reread the Magical Mates books and maybe the remaining Hellhound Champions. I’m still very much on the fence with The Chosen Champions spin-off. Oh well. Can’t win them all.🤷🏽♀️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The Chosen One/Chosen Champion Universe re-read 2/2/2022 ______
I have no idea how to rate this. I’m going to need to give this some thought. And I will probably have to read it again.
2/15/2020 Ok. I went back and reread books 1-5 (yes again). I still loved the series. I’m sort of satisfied with the ending (even if I don’t really agree with how it all went down). There were some unexpected elements. There were some things that really left me scratching my head. Like
Now, after reading my review it probably sounds like I didn’t enjoy this book. That’s far from the case. I’m sure I’ll reread the series each time a new book is released (if not more). I hope more will be revealed with the future books in this universe, because I will definitely be reading them all.
THE AUTHOR’S SUGGESTED READING ORDER

Great way to finish this cycle, fantastic action scenes, great plot, little bit of a stretch but nothing harmful, I totally love the characters! Congratulations to Macy Blake!!!
The love making scene was sensational, it was not what I imagine a love scene would be, it was boiling hot, super exciting and filled with love and connection, it was perfect!
I was at the edge of my seat with the thriller moments, it took my breath away!! Big revelations and surprises! Everything was stimulating!!!
Michael Dean gave a marvellous performance, the acting was spectacular, fully committed, impressive technique!!! High praises to him!!!
I wasn't expecting this! And, if truth be told, I've still got soooo many questions I want answers for which means I'm super happy that Macy hasn't left the Chosen Universe behind.
Honestly, I would never have guessed this outcome but it worked brilliantly and tied up all the obvious plots and still left a bit of wiggle room for more books.
This book was imperfectly perfect for a fan of the series like me! That might seem a bit confusing to you but when/if you read this series, you would definitely understand where I’m coming from. Things happened that I didn’t like/agree with but it worked so well into the overarching storyline that I couldn’t even nitpick too much.
And the sexy times?! Wooo child! It wasn’t as abundant as in the first couple of books (I think because of the logistics of writing a scene with 9 partners all doing the nasty with one another) but wonder of all wonders, the magician that is Macy Blake managed to pull it off flawlessly. Someone give that woman a medal!
As I mentioned, I loved how the series wrapped up but I wish we had gotten better background on Sawyer’s past as well as Cecil’s, how they came to be where they were and more info on the old ones, etc . To me these key elements part were glossed over and that left me a bit bummed.
Nonetheless I loved the story and as a cherry on top , we are apparently getting more books in this universe in Spring!
I cannot wait to dive back into this world when the time comes! See you all then!
What an ending!!! I didn't know what to expect and I'm kind of glad I didn't have any expectations. This was just about perfect to me. It wrapped everything up in an epic and very, very happily ever after way and really, I couldn't ask for more than that.
I mean, I could ask for more stories in this world...AND I COULD GET IT!!
Woohoo!! I really have loved everything in this world and was a little sad to see it come to an end but am so glad there is more in this world to come.
I'm rambling. If you've enjoyed the series up until now, you should enjoy this too.
Honestly I was a bit disappointed with this one. Maybe my expectations were too high. I have enjoyed this series and I will continue on with the Hell on Earth. But..I don’t know it just wasn’t the book I expected. The sex to story ratio was out again. I mean I know when you’re reading a book with so many mates there’s going to be a lot of sex. And that’s good but not at the detriment to everything else. I mean come on you need a bit of story to hold it together. Book one had the balance completely wrong. This wasn’t as bad but by this point in the series I wanted story and plot more than endless sex.
It wasn’t that bad just ignore me. The ending was fabulous and I want more of these guys.
The reason why I didn't like this as much as some of the other installments is because of two things; first, it's a confusing story, at times. At lot happens inside minds, and I probably should have reread the series before this to get full enjoyment out of the plot. Second, it reverts back to some of the first installments in terms of sex vs. plot balance, and at this point I wanted the story more than the sex. The balance wasn't leaning too much towards sex, maybe it was more the fact that I was more into trying to figure out the plot.
However, the conclusion and especially the epilogue and the promise of what is to come definitely pulled up my like for the book, and I really like the world and all the supporting cast.
This series is all crack, no substance and I Do. Not. Give. A. Fuck. 'Cuz it is tasty, delicious crack and I will read it ALLLLLL!!!!!!! This final installment (or is it?!?) was not as polished as the last two books -- which I thought really elevated the series -- but it was still a satisfying conclusion overall. Too much time spent with Pip's mama at the beginning and not enough time getting to know Pip and Dakota better OUTSIDE the bedroom -- but there were, as usual, plenty of bedroom shenanigans :) This definitely downshifted the series as a whole back to guilty pleasure territory, but I'm not mad about it. Because seriously...ALL. THE. CRACK. Gimmegimmegimme I will happily keep reading this insta-love/lust/mates x 8 nonsense for all eternity.
This last installment of the chosen one's drama was the best. The only niggle was the fact that Pip and Dakota didn't get as much air time as the others. They were great characters and deserve more focus on them.
Sawyer was his usual slow self and honestly did not get what was supposed to happen again but in the end he got his HEA.
The most important thing to remember is that all of this makes so much more sense when read in the correct order. I missed out on a lot when I first read these, but in my defense, that's the way they were published.
Well sadly our journey has come to and end, for the most part, and truly I am more conflicted than ever.
I snagged this on the release date and haven’t written a review yet because I still just don’t know how I feel. On one hand, I have been waiting somewhat patiently (only check once every couple weeks to see if it’s release date was available) for this so I could hang out with the gang again and see what the hell is happening. And on the other hand I was somewhat disappointed... I really felt the lead up and excitement for what was going to happen didn’t live up to the actual results. There was a lot of wasted time in this book on sex, and I love the sex... but it felt like the author was just giving us our goodbye sex and not spending time on the finishing plot.
By the time things ended I was so underwhelmed with plot but more in love than ever with the characters that I just didn’t know what to do.
Also, imo, I felt there were many plot holes and unanswered questions as to why Sawyer did what he did, and how this was the only answer to the problem.
I do hope to see the story continue through the other series and hope that maybe we’ll see our guys and maybe some more answers there.
Finally it's the showdown between Sawyer and his brother. Such an epic ending to this series!
I love how everything played out and loved all the action and build up in this one. I absolutely love everyone and how all the dynamics work in this poly/mate cluster of 9 haha. I love them all so much! (I adore Pip lol. And Draco and his caveman!dragon ways)
It was a long wait for the this book to be released! Let me tell you, I'm sad the series is over! I will miss all the antics Henry and Pip get into. I love the ending and happy that Macy is going to continue writing books in this world created by the "chosen one".
By the time we get to this episode, Sawyer has 8 mates and sadly, that's just a really difficult amount of mates to connect with. I felt like I didn't know any of the later mates very well and it didn't help that some of them deliberately didn't interact until nearly the end of this book. This made some of the erotic sections feel....less
Lots of interesting twists. I felt like there were some plot holes and TSTL moments (Draco, really?) but overall, the resolution here worked for me. I just felt like I didn't get the full immersion in the relationships that I liked from the earlier books when there were fewer mates.
This book unfortunately suffered from Too Many Expectations syndrome, as I was disappointed how the finale played out. But I guess most books with a great set-up suffer from too many expectations! That being said, although the final battle was a total meh moment, the book do finish with HEA's all around, and in the end, that is all that matters.
So, to summarize: I would recommend this series to all who is looking for some fantasy, interesting fantastical characters, love all around, and to have a great time reading a super awesome series.
So... It was the last book of this serie, and I wanna cry. Can I cry right now ? 😭 It was so good omg. 😍 I can’t believe I read the five books of the serie in one setting. It’s a first for me. (I mean, I loved the serie of TJ Klune « The Tales from Verania but when I read the first book, the others one didn’t been released yet. So it didn’t count. 🤷🏻♀️) I’ll admit that the story take a turn unexpected for me. Oh, it was good all the same, but I didn’t think things happen like that. At all. 🤔 But I am happy for them, and I can’t wait the others book in the same universe ! 🌌😊 (Because, yes, two other books will come soon. (One in spring and the other one in summer, I think) 💭📚 Oh ! 😮 And before I forget, I have the other serie to read (with the Hellhounds !) (Because I am a naughty girl who read the serie without read the other book in the good order. But 🤫) And the three first book. (The 0.5, 0.7 and the story of Mickey.)
Well I am Lazy today too, so I’ll just do a list, like always. 😀
What did I like?
♪ Everyone ! Like. Really. I liked Everyone. (Even the evil Brother, but not because he was cool and kind. But because his role was to be the Big Bad Guy of the story. And he was good at it.) (You know what I mean ? ☺️) ♪ Dakota. He’s open up in this book. And Sawyer and him fight and talk. Then the action comes and Dakota understood raw things. He understood the importance of his mates, and that, yes, a lot of bad things happened because of The Past Sawyer, but the future is important right now. And he can’t really blame Sawyer for all his life. 😔 ♪ Pip. I don’t really understand his importance to the plot and the story, but I liked him anyway. Because he’s so funny, adorable and cute. And I want to adopt him right now. 🥰 ♪ The siblings of Dakota. I love them and I hope we will see more of them in the future. 🤞🏻 ♪ OOOOH Cecil ! (Or Syssilt ? (Sissylt ? I don’t remember ☹️) We learned so much about him in this book ! And I want to have a story about him. Please ! I beg you ! 🙏 ♪ ... Well I loved this story in general, and I want to return in this world because it was just so good ! I can’t wait for the next book in this universe. And I can’t wait to read the story of Uncle Meshaq, Nick and the other in the serie on the Hellhounds ! 💜
What I didn’t like?
♬ Not so much. I mean, I read this serie in one setting, and I’d never do that before so... ♬ The ending. (Well, I loved the end. But I didn’t want to end this book 📖) ♬ The brother, like always. But he’s good at his job (being the villain 🦹♂️ of the story)
3.75 stars Well. Even though I still have the Hellhound books to read, and Mikey's story, I feel a little relieved that the saga of Sawyer is done now. Hella hot 9-way poly sex scenes are great and all, but I'm a little exhausted from all the god-war stress. Maybe I'll read a nice relaxing murder mystery next, or some sweet BDSM to clear my palate...
I still like this over-the-top paranormal world and most of the characters really grew on me and I won't stop reading all the spin-off series, even those which are not more than bubbly and charming nonsense. It's just that this is the last installment, the book to save the paranormal world, the chance to defeat the big evil and the obligation to get all strings together and close the open questions.
So I admit that I maybe had unreasonable expectations, after all it's not an epic fantasy but a paranormal romance crossing the border into guilty pleasure territory often. So instead of planning and strategizing we get reassurance in form of an orgy, instead of a proper final battle with emotional drama there is a first almost irrecoverable fight and then the final one with an almost anticlimactic solution, instead of question-closing we only get the excuse that it doesn't matter anymore what lead to Sawyer's decision to change into a human because now he's a different man and instead of getting all strings together the author throws a new one into play with introducing those dactyls.
So with its plot holes and my too high expectations this last book would have felt like a letdown but then came the epilogue and everything was okay again.
5 stars for the series read in the order on the author's website!
I wish he had a bit more time getting to know Pip. Loved the little magical surprise at the end and I hope we get to see the outcome in the future spin-off or another book.
Despite the surprisingly high expectations, I am, overall, satisfied with the final instalment of the series. I mean, this is series about how a pretty normal (just not) guy finds 8 boyfriends. Who happens to be a vampire, a dragon, a lynx, a sylph... and so on. So forgive me for being a little sceptic about it. It's hard to read about 9 guys finding a life together and not immediately label it as porn-pretending-to-be-a-love-story.
And the funny and great things is that it definitely was not that. Actually, it was just this one, wonderfull romance book. That had some stuff to balance it out and keep it about more than just relationships. It was very well handled and combined a good amount of feelings with some bedroom time but also integrated saving the world from an evil god. That's hard to do. This managed to remain simple without being too simple and didn't try for some greatness of intricacy, just as much as was needed.
There is always this pressure for the final book. First, you have to make a good first book and if you're good enough, people will like it but that also means you have to make a second which can be a little daunting but you made it once so you can do it again and you do it as long as you can but then it has to end and things escalate and not just in terms of plot but they don't call it the grand finale just for fun, so if you thought expectations for the first one are bad, they have nothing on what you're supposed to achieve in the last one, where every one of your evil plans is supposed to knock them over with its awesomeness the likes of which you never saw before.
The final battle, the final boss... not gonna lie. It's harsh, it's scary and getting it right means you have some serious skills. Yet it has nothing on the trial of making up the last sex scene with all 8 mates resent. *Dramatic music*. Forget sword fights, magic fights, water fights... snow fights or any other type of final battle where everything is saved and evil is banished. It has nothing on the challenge of making 9 characters distinct enough that when you gather them and make them go at it at the SAME time, you can actually enjoy it and not do a "wait, is Advari the fae or the horse?" with some serious POV switching where every other sentence describes a different character so you can keep up with everyone while not really being able to notice a single one of them.
As was pointed out in the book (as the author pointed out), that's a loooot of limbs and numbers and angles and parts that should fit into each other to consider, number and place in the right positions. Not to mention you're supposed to do this after you already wrote four whole books where we already saw almost everything original one could conceive in this situation so coming up with new way/words/emotions can be almost impossible.
Oh, you want to know how it was handled here? You sure? I can stall some more. It is imperative I explain why I feel this is a real challenge and how managing it even halfway decent is a huge victory in terms of writing proficiency. I know there is that philosophy of "you made your bed so you have to lie in it" *snickers*, pun intended, so choosing such a task... well, that would have been the mistake in this equation. *Still stalling*. You always try your best and that should be the most important part. Right?
All right, it was nice. Not bad nice, there was a moment or two when I had to rack my brain to actually "feel" them as people and not just blobs of flesh that do stuff, because it's their uniqueness and personalities that make such a moment special. My attention span was not at its best form (because mood, *ghrhr*) but this book, this... author, made what she does best - not trying to make up this impossible huge mass of bodies that would not make sense and could not be replicated even in zero gravity... just... used what she does best, the way she does best, at the level where, when all is said and done, made you melt into this puddle of goo from all those nice, romantic feelings.
Because it really is that sense of... dare I say love, acceptance and family and caring and all that other shiny, glitter sugar unicorn ideas that make this series such a joy to read.
Is it sometimes absurd? Obviously. Over the top? You bet. Really raises your eyebrows and the corners of your mouth? Yup.
But even with all those species and that familiar plot of The Chosen One with destiny to save the world, it was a great universe with a lot of good characters and lots of good plot that make for, if nothing else, one enjoyable read.
First things first - for those of you unfamiliar with this series, you absolutely must read the first four books for this to make sense. And reading Macy Blake's Hellhound series will also help you out here. If that seems like a lot of books, you will so thank me for telling you this once you read them all! This is one of those rare series where she could write several dozen more books and I would beg for more, the characters and the world-building she has done are that amazing.
So we're at the end of the Chosen One series, and I am sad. But Blake has promised more in this universe, so that eases my pain. When last we left our favorite group of mates (if you're new, yep, I said mates. There's nine of them. It's as hot as you think it is), Sawyer had finally found his final two mates, answered some questions, but left us all with a lot more. I am happy to report that all our questions were answered by the end of Stop At Nothing. Bless Macy Blake - she has created a complex and vibrant universe full of interesting and compelling characters, and managed to wrap up all the loose ends in this book. I bow to her.
Beyond that, and not wanting to spoil anyone, I will just say that you will be satisfied at the end of this book, but you'll long for more. Luckily, kind Macy has already promised (in the back of this book) more to come in this universe. I have read many series by many different authors, and I feel like I always come to a point where I feel done, that enough is enough. I genuinely don't know if I would ever feel that way with this universe. Blake has created a world where so many more stories are possible, and you long for every one of them. Go on her social media groups, and fans beg for more of this character or more of that character. I think that's a true testament to her work and her talent, that readers are left satisfied, yet eager for more. The testament to a skilled world-building author.
If you've read the series, me telling you this book is amazing isn't going to affect you one way or another, because you bought it as soon as it published. If you're new to Macy Blake's Chosen One world, grab them all, sit back, and enjoy. You'll be so glad you did.
We have learned a LOT with each book. I am glad I stopped and waited until all the books were out to read the entire series. The final confrontation stressed me out a LOT. I was screaming (as if that was going to change the outcome), Although so much has occurred in this book and series, I loved that we got to revisit some things and move on to the next chapter. For those who will read these in the future, enjoy the fact that you can read straight through!!! I am 100% positive this series will go on my reread list!!!
The Chosen Universe is so amazing. With 5 books in the Chosen series and 4 in the Hellhound series, there were a lot of storylines to weave together to make a successful series ending book. Stop at Nothing is what series finales dream of becoming! Somehow, Macy Blake has taken all of the loose ends from this truly amazing world and delivered her fans the best possible happily ever after. To get to that ending, however, there is a whole lot of heart wrenching moments and spectacular action. There are sexy times and moments that make you giggle out loud. And while giving us a super satisfying ending, there are just enough ideas left to make more books in this world a possibility – please, please, please! I have been thinking of this book ever since finishing it. It is a must read for fans of paranormal romance!!
It was underwhelming overall. Again, the events of the parallel series are too important to the plot that without them you'll be lost. Why not have them be part of the main series if they're so important to it? No idea. Pip and Dakota were in the end quite underused (Pip especially, we weren't even told what his powers are and he mostly just showed up for sexy times). And the climax felt kind of rushed in the end. I ended up feeling more "that's it?", than any other emotion
What a great end to this series! I loved how the Guardians banned together and supported Sawyer in getting rid of his brother. I am left with questions however??? **** Spoilers**** Cecil and his mate, where did that come from. Also Mike and his mates, I want more now that he is woke and apparently a God too!
I can keep going but I won't. I help these and more are answered in the upcoming books.
Stop at Nothing by Macy Blake is the fifth and final book in The Chosen One series and it just blew my mind! This paranormal m/m + series has held me captive since I first met Sawyer and my love has only grown with each mate we met on the way. So much heat between these sexy men. HOT!! Protective, attentive and sweet and sexy; I love each one of these characters. The universe created here is so amazing and has me hoping we will explore more facets of the world in the future with different series.
The story is full of mystery, suspense, drama, humor, family, sweetness, magic, emotion, steam...and surprises! I was glued to this book and read it all in one go. Although I am sad to be saying goodbye to this series, this conclusion was everything I could have hoped for. Perfect!
