But as everything suddenly comes crashing down around them, will their budding relationship survive?
And what happens when his daughter uncovers the truth about their marriage?
****This is a standalone novel with a touch of steam and HEA.****
So the premise was crazy but fake wedding for one such reason or another are the epitome of romance novels and I liked this story of Odessa and Connor and I liked that Scarlet was a teenager which was a bit different, I liked that Odessa did it for a better reason that most (no gambling parent featured here), my favorite character was Granny Sherry, she bought a bit of pizzazz and made this story a bit more wholesome and unique from other stories with the same premise and I appreciate that, anyway the romance was good, the erotica was really good and the HEA was well deserved for our main characters.
Con and Odessa made a great couple. This was a good read and interesting plot. I just felt that so much more could have taken place in the story and made it that much more interesting. Why was the mother (Odessa's mom)never mentioned again or introduced to Con. What happened to Scarlett's mom? It just felt like there were lots of loose ends that needed to be includede
This was an interesting and amazing romance novel. I truly enjoyed reading this book. Connor and Odessa's love story began from an arrangement but soon blossomed into true love!!! Through all the obstacle their love prevailed. This book contains dreams, hope , betrayal, deception, intrigue, heartbreak, lies, and finding a true family!!! I will be recommending this book to everyone I know!!!👍
I actually enjoyed this story, the plot twist was different. Connor chose the right woman to help with his daughter Sophia whom he barely knew because his ex wife was a treacherous bitch. I liked the grandmother Sherry too. My only complaint is they didn't say what happened to the stupid ex wife after she tried to crash their wedding.
I started out reading it was kinda boring but kept reading. There are good parts in the book but there was parts that bored me. The daughter was a little unreal because a 12 year old with that much attitude seem over broad. The love story seem to be in the background of the whole book and the relationship of the daughter was the for front.
Understand remembered this author from a book a few years ago. Then when I started reading this book, I remembered why I hadn't read any other novels she wrote. She is a decent writer but her books are boring. She tried to throw a twist in with the ex-wife showing up but she didn't quite pull off the twist.
Very cute read about a dad willing to do whatever for a daughter he just got custody of. Even marrying her dance teacher to avoid being the man whore she thinks he is
Loved Odessa and Connor. Connor's ex-wife was horrible. Glad his daughter Scarlett saw the truth about her mom. Loved Odessa's grandmother Sherry she was funny. There were parts of the book I was in tears laughing at Sherry.
Odessa and Conner's story but all the right buttons. Take marriages always have an element of being a fairy tale. But, this turned real when the ex step in. The angst and sadness was real. Good story.
It was an okay read for me but I didn't like that it wasn't a conclusion on what happen with the Sharon situation. I'm glad that Conner, Odessa, Sherry, Scarlet, Noah, and Nalla got their own HEA despite the unconventional way they started out.
I liked the story, it was really nice and I loved Odessa’s personality. I’m going to read some of the other books because I’m kind of liking these type of storylines. I hope I can find more BWWM stories here, I just realized they were a thing like a few days ago.
book started off alright and i do mean started. maybe 3 chapters were good and then the plot got on a train and zoomed past logic. leaps were made to fit into the marriage of convenience plot and we were supposed to sympathize with this 40 year old dude "dating" 19 year olds??? aight
his 12 year old was fine but annoying and way too smart mouthed and wise for her years. granny sherry was the best character bar none!
i was actually happy to finally have a grown heroine in odessa who was childfree and fine with it but that got ruined twice in the damn epilogue. and by the middle of the book i was ready for it to be done and skimmed the shit outta most of it to get to the end.
This story was great. Scarlett was a hoot. She was smarter than her father and mother. Her mother was a card that should have been felt with seriously.
I liked that it was a forty something’s story line.It was sweet with the ex-wife scene that was ghastly. The impact of that on the daughter! Odessa and Connor got their act together in the end. Glad it worked out. Some steamy scenes.
