Functional: A NOVEL

Rate this book
Logan puts his career on pause after a mental breakdown at work. Fearfully, he swears off his pharmaceutical vices, meets Nikki, a heroin addict in recovery, at the same time he finds new ways to self-medicate that land him in precarious, albeit humorous, encounters with death. He comes back from medical leave with the firm resolve to succeed in life, and his boss, Miranda, helps him to find confidence in his career and himself; but with all the superficial ways he’s improved his life, his untreated mental state continues to deteriorate. Logan, blinded by his newfound love of bravado and rage, finds himself in destructive situations as he learns to live in harmony with his increasingly hostile brain and an equally hostile co-worker, Thomas, who will test the limits of his fragile sanity. Enter the mind of your average, depraved, chemically imbalanced bean counter in Functional, but do so at your own risk.
