“You invade my dreams,” the Hexer growled, the blade under my chin forced my gaze to his. “And crawl under my skin. You make it impossible to have any kind of life, unless it’s a life chasing you.”

Three Hexers hunt the most dangerous creatures on earth…now they’re coming for me.

I will kill who I have to. I will bring this battle to the King’s door.

So why do I find myself falling when these Hexers are near? Why do I find myself longing for more than their bed? I’m more than my desires. More than seduction. More than lust.

I will take from them, and I will leave. Even if leaving is killing me...

Amazing!! I was sucked right in immediately and the pace didn’t let up the whole time. We start off with the black viper giving birth to three daughters. This book follows Ever, the third daughter, as she runs from three hexers who hunt her. They’re very reminiscent of the Witcher as are their powers. We see Ever come into her powers and discover for herself things that have been hidden from her her entire life. Once the hexers catch up with her it goes from scorching to incendiary and man that chemistry is off the charts!! The story does end on a cliffhanger but the second book is out now and the third not far behind so you can binge read the series.
I loved Ever and watching her grow and develop. Her true nature shines through her actions. I can’t wait to see how she grows from here. I’m so in love with the Hexers. They’re so strong, persistent, intelligent, and big softies under their hard exteriors. I enjoy how the hexers and Ever interact and can’t wait to see how things go from here. Man that was one panty melter of a book!! On to the next one, Ravish Her!

Witches and Hexers, Oh My!

This book was a great cross of magic, intrigue, sexiness and so much more. With an undertone of the Witcher, we have a witch and the 3 hexers who hunt her. They're all connected but what happens when the hunters no longer wish to capture their prey? Can these enemies truly be together? The scenes between Ever, Wilds, Ristt and Keane were sexy and full of tension. I can't wait to see how this this develops, especially considering the secrets that have yet come to light....

It's unavoidable to think of The Witcher and Henry Cavill (at least for me, super-ultra-yummy Henry) when reading this book.

I love witches/sorcerers/warlocks, so hexers are a welcome new element to the fantasy-paranormal genre, and a reverse harem added to that...it's a great idea.

I've rated this book with 3 stars because although the story started really interesting, the heroine spends the whole book running away from the hexers and after a while it bothered me a lot. If the MCs don't have contact it's very difficult for any kind of relationship to be built, let alone there's no way that they get to know each other. During most of the book we mostly know about one of the hexers, Wilds, while the other two are practically a filler in this story until they finally catch up with the h and have sex together...

There's absolutely no character development on the hexers so it was difficult to relate to them or even like them. I never understood why the h keeps running away from them and never stopped to try to talk to them or find out what their intentions were.

The world in this book could be full of potential since it's a world made of magic but readers would need to know more of its history, or its culture, how all those magic beings came to exist...And the main characters would need to be more fleshed out so we could better relate to them IMO, specially if they're going to have sex, it helps create a little tension and it makes the attraction to be more believable.

Perhaps the author will take the story through a different path, this is the first book in this series so everything might change...

I was given an ARC via Booksprout in exchange for an honest review.

Grabbed this off Audible. Unfortunately, even though I could tell the narrator was really trying to bring the story to life, I just barely got into it. I almost felt like maybe the narrator was trying a little too hard? I definitely feel like I need to try a physical copy of this before I completely cement my opinion about the book as a whole so that is why I threw up the middle of the road stars.

The book itself started off with a bang! I mean I don't know what the heck is going on with the rest of the book exactly, but the opening scenes were definitely mind grabbing. I was just sure I had found my next great series. After that however, things fell off really quickly as we skip forward in time to one FMC, Ever. I'm thinking maybe I just need a more rounded world build because for the life of me, even though I could picture the scenes, I couldn't fully understand what the heck the end game or the constant search for the stone was. Ever has dreams and a pull toward a stone, as well as terrible visions of the king finding another young girl with the stone. The entire book is basically her escape from her prison and the search for the stone as well as surviving on the way. I have no idea how the Hexor's come into this.. Honestly at this point I'm wondering if I just tuned the narrator out at certain points of the story or if these things were actually explained.

I did think the magical concepts were interesting but there weren't any rules. It was kind of make it up as you go along and hope it works. I prefer a little bit more structure to help things along. Ever survives by healing during her travels.. all the while being hunted by Hexor's that for some reason she is really attracted to. There was a lot of sighing about Wilde.. going on. Honestly, even though they were obviously attracted to each other, there was no relationship build up or anything. Nothing to really make each other question the foundations of their missions other than this attraction.. and yet.. apparently that was enough for Ever to love em and leave em over and over on her journey lol.

I want to say that ending was epic and gave me gooseys.. and maybe if I had any idea what was actually going on in this world I would have felt that way.. instead I'm just even more confused now.. I'm going to have to revisit this as a physical before I even think about continuing the series...

This book was amazing. Truly. We are still left in the dark about a lot of things, but that’s purposeful. The world building is awesome, even if we don’t completely understand it yet. The characters are slowly being built upon and mysteries are slowly but surely unraveling. This is a very detailed and intense story.

I desperately want to read the next book, but my nerves can’t handle it right now. I’m a jittery mess and jumping from the frying pan (of this book) into the fire (of the next book) isn’t going to help.

Fantasy Reverse harem romance
3/5 stars for steaminess
Powerful Witch FMC
MMC’s are Witch hunters (have you ever seen the Witcher? These guys are like Geralt of Rivia exactly, not just in appearance)

Actually…have you ever played The Witcher 3 for ps4? If that game was an RH the storylines and world building would be eerily similar. Come to think of it, it’s practically plagiarism. Eh, I don’t care though. It was amazing regardless.

This is the first book in the Descended from a Witch by Atlas Rose, who is a "new to me" author. Wilds, Keane and Ristt are Hexers or witch hunters who are after Ever, an escapee from the King's clutches. the book has a ton of twists, turns, and head scratching moments. There is intense chemistry between these 4 main characters. But, this book certainly created a lot more questions than it answered. The second book is available now, but book 3 isn't out till next month. The best thing about this book is you can read it for free with your subscription to KU. Just OK Read

I really enjoyed this story. It's what you would call a full story and needs your attention fully.

I will definitely be reading the next book. A brilliant ending... cliff hanger alert...

This was very much like the witcher.

This really does suck you in and is a must read.

not quite 3 & 1/2 stars.
I am a cover snob, and this cover definitely spoke to me, and had me pick up the book to read over other books I've been eyeballing. This book almost reads like fan-fic (for the Witcher show). That's not meant as a bad thing in this review, just stating how I felt reading this. The book definitely could have been improved upon, with more world building & character development for all the characters (especially for those people who may not have seen the Witcher show to be able to cross the gap & assimilate the story). I have watched the first season of the Witcher, so was able to assimilate.

I really didn't get a feel for the three Hexers to form an opinion of them since readers aren't really given much info about them. So that would mean they are flat characters, not unlikable, but not great characters. As for Ever, I got just enough to get that she wasn't a bad person, but not enough to really appreciate her. I was getting bored -reading about her running from the Hexers constantly (over a year) with so few "almost" encounters with them (she feels them coming & disappears before they get there or just as they get there), and not enough explanations of how she managed to learn what she did -to survive that year on the run, since she was totally sheltered & totally uneducated with magic (she didn't even know she had magic, she had book smarts but not live in the wilderness smarts) before she escaped the castle she was being kept at. I also felt the dreams the 4 were having about each other should have been done differently, to help add to the story instead of sounding like they were just "wet dreams". It didn't lead to the relationship with the RH to seem legit, since the guys would have dreams about her, or she might have a dream about them, but none of them were the same dream that each had had to link them together as a future event or an actual dream event happening. If the dreams had been the same, or if Ever's -whose dreams seemed to predict what would happen, actually happened (at least a time or two) to show that they were foretelling the future or something, it might have helped the story a bit more. I'll pick up book 2 when it comes out, just to see if it improves over this book, but I'm not super excited over it & counting down the days sort of thing.

BeWitch Her (Descended from a Witch Book 1) by Atlas Rose When I got this story I had no idea what to expect but man it blew my mind. This is book number one in this amazing start to a brand new series writen by a brand new author for me to read. I can hardly wait for book number two in this amazing series. I liked this book. One night changes the relationship between a witch and the 3 hexers hunting her. Ever doesn’t let Wilds, Keane or Ristt stop her from her destiny. When the guys realize they want to keep her they decide it’s best for them to help her...when they finally catch her.

Nailed 👏 it 👏! I could not put this book down and I could stare at that cover all day. I’ve already read this book 3 times. I really want to know where Ms. Rose takes the rest of this series. If you like a certain Netflix series with a certain Superman, then this is definitely one for your TBR.

Garbage

Don’t waste your time even if it’s free. The plot is thin. The characters are flat. It’s a juvenile attempt at fantasy. If you are a fan of erotica there are about 20 pages which would be better served as a penthouse letter than in a novel.

Everyone has been obsessed with Netflix's The Witcher starring Henry Cavil and I am right there with them. My sister and I binge-watched the series for a weekend and loved it. The Witcher is a high fantasy tv-series with lots of steam and magic and has a pretty good storyline, I really enjoyed the series. Imagine my surprise when I came across the cover for BeWitch Her, my first thought was he looks like Gerlt, the witcher from the tv series. So, of course, I looked up the description and found a couple of keywords, such as witch and reverse harem, that would guarantee that it would go on my tbr wishlist. I mean the tag line is "For I am descended from the Witch", how could that not capture my imagination even more.

The story was very interesting, I will admit that I was confused by somethings but not enough to detour me from the story. It was really interesting seeing someone who is sheltered as Ever was, take a leap-of-faith and venture out on her own, figuring the world out as she went along, finding a way to take care of herself and keep herself safe. She was careful and thought things through and as time went on she became more confident and resilient than she had ever been while locked in the king's castle. Ever grew not only into her powers and became a badass witch but she grew more into herself with her confidence and sexuality.

What really drew me into the story are all the questions I have. What is the king up to, what kind of sway does he has over his people, what is the true story behind Ever's heritage because something just doesn't seem right, first there is her mother who is the black viper and I am not so sure that the rumors about her are true then there is what we find out when Ever is born, I have a million questions about that then there is a mysterious stone that calls to her. Trying to figure out where everything is going and getting answers is what draw me to this story, I really need the second book in the series because BeWitch Her not only left me with a bunch of questions but it also left on a cliffhanger, with me asking what in the hay is going on, I can't wait to see what happens next.

Though this is a stand-alone series, it does tie-in to the Cruel Selection Vampire series and the Cruel Selection Dragon series, being set in the same world with some mention of tie-in characters. If you have read those series, then you know that this is the lead up to the end. Of what, I don't know but I'm excited to find out. All I know is the universal theme is this - the King is evil and must be brought down. How that will happen?!? The first step is the daughters of the Black Viper.
Like the prior 2 series, it starts with a girl behind hunted by 3 men (lucky her). Already, you should know she is special and had the power of change - to change to future, the hearts of man, the weather, yada yada. She will be a force to be reckoned with. If course the King, the nebulous thing that he is, no likey some one else who had that power so he will stop at nothing to harness that. Enter the Hexers, the 3 men tasked to track her down. They are tied to her through a bond that burns, trying them together (even in their dreams). Somewhere along the way the bond changes from a noose to that of a claim, one of possession. When they finally give in to it, will these hunters be able to give their prize over to the heartless King? Can they hand their heart over to be tortured or killed? Our will they fight at her side against all the forces of the evil King?

It's an exciting beginning to the next chapter in this riveting new world. Can't wait to see what will happen next.

I, like others, downloaded this book thinking it would somehow satisfy my craving for a good romance, and I had high hopes for it, especially as it seems to aim for the aesthetic and similar fantastical world as “The Witcher” by Netflix. Where I most struggled with this book is the jumping from character to character with no way of telling who it has jumped to, especially as it’s all told from the first person, and early chapters aren’t privy much to names. I found the book choppy and hard to follow. Even the first chapter is strange. At first, it seems these Hexers want to kill the main character, but then it reneges on the idea into something else entirely. I am not even sure if this romance is monogamous or polygamous in nature.

Ultimately, I’m guessing the author has used friends or fellow members of some group to up her ratings, because it baffles me how anyone could possibly understand or even follow the plot. The book is confusing. Even several chapters in, I still was having a tough time figuring out what was going on, and the abrupt shifts in scene and character do not help with the confusion. It would be a good idea if the author considered the third person for such a story.

Another barely average KU book ....
Yes a beautifull cover but what about what's inside ?
The writing was ok even if very predictable storyline.... Jeez, the wolf she saves becomes her pet and protector. Now where have I read something similar ? Oh wait !!! In almost all fantasy romance out there !!!!
So 0 points for originality ....
The attraction and the relationships: did absolutly nothing for me. FMC barely exanges a few words with her 3 love interests, either before or after sleeping with them. We basically have no backroung history on any of her 3 guys and for me that's just plain uninteresting...

I saw on an Amazon review a woman stating that the sex in this book was definitely for mature audiences.. I don't know what this lady has been reading (or maybe I've been reading some strange stuff ;) but it seemed pretty tame to me except for the multiple partners .... I did not feel the attraction between the characters.

So no I would not recomment this book unless you are looking for a very very light read. And no I will not be readind sequel.

My apologies to the author, this one just wasn't my cup of tea....

Ever is the daughter born to the Black Viper in a dirty dungeon. From the moment of her birth she was whisked away and "lives" in the King's tower. She has never been allowed to leave and taught she is evil. When she escapes, she has Hexers following her. They are slightly magical assassins created to kill witches. These three, Wilds, Ristt and Keane, are sent by the King to find and destroy her. She is magically connected to them and can feel when they are near by a burning sensation in her chest. She begins dreaming about them and somehow connects with their dreams as well. However, she is not evil and uses her powers to help sick children recover from a plague ravaging the land. The villagers know what she is, but they would never betray her. They refer to her as Healer. She also saved a wolf from certain death when she escaped and now is her constant companion. This is an unpredictable chain of events that blurs the line between the Hexers and Ever. It is exciting and scary at the same time. Wonderful read! Ever has been locked away with a seer. She is not allowed outside her room, she has no interactions with anyone. She is told how danger it is out there for her. Something happens, she manages to get out and she runs. She realizes that there are three men chasing after her. They call them Hexers, they are coming for her.Every time she runs into them, she manages to get away. But she feels has other feelings for them other than fear. But she can not risk it, they are under the KIng's service.
Ever has learned a lot about herself since she has first run. She always tries to help those in need, she heals who she can. But she has never lost sight of where she needs to go. The pull is there.

I am not going to go into to much detail, as I do not want to give to much away. This book was really good from the first chapter, the way it ended was really good. I can't wait to read book 2. I recommend everyone to read this.

I FLOVED THIS BOOK! So we got some sexy as sin witch hunters who are hunting witches. Well, then there is Ever who has been captive in a castle until she finally escaped. The hunters are Wilds, Keane and Ristt following her. As you read you will see that there is something connecting the hunters to Ever. But what you ask? That is debatable? Then everything changes in one night!! Whoa baby was that one hot night? I can say someone was chained so you can look forward to that. Was this change enough for her to believe that they will protect her. She is on the run from the King, so will they take her back. Dang it Atlas, you and your endings. Yes ladies it is a cliffhanger and it is a whammy too. I was like how in the world did that happen!! Really???? My head is still spinning and I am trying to think of how that happened. So with that said... GO AND GET THIS BOOK TO READ!!

I receive ARCs to leave honest reviews.

Once again Atlas has blown me out of the water. This book is awesome. There are so many things that can happen as the new books are released. This one is about
1 daughter out of a set of triplets who's born from an evil witch and filled with good. That's not a spoiler you learn it in the first couple of pages. This is the beginning of her journey to find out who she is. She's chased constantly by a trio of hexers. There's magic, healing, evil, uncertainty, loyal friends, and surprises along the way.

There's plenty of background information given on witch. There's not a lot given on the hexers yet, that always happens later in the series. There's enough to find out why the Hexers are hunting her but this one book I would've liked a little more info on Wilds, Keane, and Ristt. I can't explain that maybe I'm just being weird. Regardless this book definitely earned its 5stars and you don't want to miss it.

Terrible.

I got 30% into this book and stopped reading. And the 30% I did read I skimmed through hoping it would get better.
It started out ok. At least the part with the witch giving birth to 3 daughters, Bringing the one back to life. That small section was ok.
Then imo the book quickly went to crap. You have this girl, who apparently has lived her whole life in a tower eating nothing but porridge. You would expect someone like that to have an aversion to being outside, to be frightened and act more shy and timid and unsure of everything. But she meets the hexers in the market and mouths off to them provoking a if I beat you in a fight I get to go free scheme.
I just couldn't get into this book. It was so bad I couldn't force myself to finishing reading it.
I don't know how people have this high reviews, I'm assuming it's people part of an ARC group or friends of the author. Causenthus was just too bad imo to warrant such reviews.

Already addicted to this series! Ever is an amazing main character. Although she was kept away from the world until she was able to escape at the age of 18, she still takes charge of her life and tries to live it in every way possible while still being on the run from the Hexers on her tail. Always told that she was a monster that people would abhor and want to kill, she still goes out of her way to help those in need and is shown appreciation and warmth from them. There is more to the connection between her and the Hexers, as well as that mysterious stone that is calling to her. Can't wait to see if the next book tells us exactly what that is!

One thing I also hope we get to see as the series progresses is possibly the point of views from the other sisters as well. It could make for an interesting twist.

Warning.... cliffhanger ending!

Ever begins the book as a girl who has been locked away her entire life. She knows nothing about her magic, except that she has it, and that she is the daughter of a notorious and evil witch.
We follow her throughout the next few years, as she grows in strength, ability, and confidence, forever being chased by her hexers, men enchanted to find her and bring her back to the King.

The book is well written, evocative and engrossing. It is a reverse harem, which shouldn’t be a surprise if you have read other books by the author, but might confuse you if you weren’t expecting it!

That being said, the biggest surprise, was the cliffhanger. It’s a biggie, so line up the next book right away!

For fans of traditional swords and sorcery fantasy, who don’t mind reverse harem.

Witch Ever (FMC) starts off this book like Rapunzel locked away in a tower but shes been put there to protect her. From Witch Hunters who are tasked by the King to capture and kill any witch they find. When she turns 18 Ever's life changes and her life becomes more complicated. On the run and helping folks out that she comes across like a guardian angel until she fulfills the prophecy (that she doesnt know about yet) that says her and sisters are the destiny of the free world. Except she has to evade 3 hunters- Hexers- Wilds, Ristt and Keane long enough to do it. These hexers are hellbend on capturing her and not for reasons that they started out with though. An action-packed, joyride of book with very steamy parts but it kept you glued to it from the start to the finish. So flaming good!

Good but not Great

This was a lovely book. It kept me engaged, for the most part, and was well written. The synopsis of the story sounds like it was written with me in mind. However, the execution leaves much to be desired. We did not get the opportunity to really get to know or care about the love interests and too much of the book was spent with repetitive details about the FMC's journey. I was really engaged at the start and stayed up late reading but that interest started to wane overtime. The world building was fine but there definitely needed to be some more character development.

I gave this book four stars because, despite any flaws, I did enjoy it. I read it to completion without wanting to toss it to the side and I really liked the idea. Looking forward to the rest of the trilogy.

Intense

This is a good book and series opener! It gives a quick back history a bit of foreshadowing and then jumps into the story. I like all the information it gives us on Ever, her quest, her insight and friendship with Bandit (😍🐺), and her growth. The Hexers start off as jerks or I guess jerk as she first only interacts with one! But they grow on you, especially when you hear their POV and how they connect! When they finally Do meet up and Really interact, the 🔥and steamieness begins!! They are All Hot together and make you root for them!! They are on a good path, but I still sense trouble for them both from outside ppl and themselves!
I do wonder when this book takes place in relation to other books in the series like Chosen by the vampire/Dragon, where the Viper is mentioned and possibly active, as she is supposed to be dead in the start of this book?!

This is the start to a new series that is quite good! Ever, a witch, has been kept isolated, but she finally is able to escape and run. Paid by a cruel King to relentlessly track her down for her powers, three Hexers begin the chase to capture her as she fights to survive and protect herself. Ever won’t allow Wilds, Keane or Ristt stop her – but when will they stop seeing her as prey and turn to the other feelings that seem to be occurring? Can she risk letting them get close to her, knowing they are pawns of the king? And if she does allow them in, how will it change the dynamic among the four of them?

This was an exciting book and pulls the read right in for the adventure! The cover alone is mesmerizing! Grab your copy and enter into the action-packed excitement!
