This was a fantastic read, from the moment I start it I was hooked.There was something in this story that I just couldn't put it down until I finish it!It was sweet, heartwarming and the romance was so good!
I fall in love with both characters, James and Michaela make me swoon, melt and feel so warm.My heart was aching for them and I just wanted to see them together. Michaela was such a lovely heroine I could easily relate with her.James is swoon worthy and definitely a man that will be your next book boyfriend.
I loved the feelings both have for each other, and I liked how their relationship started!Michaela had feelings from the beginning and he was feeling something for her too.This one has everything I wanted and even more!

This is one of the sweetest LH Cosway books I've read. Michaela and James story is a bit of friends to lovers and a little work place/forbidden romance. Michaela has worked for James for while, and she's crushed on him the entire time. She knows it can never go anywhere, he's engaged, but she can't help how she feels. Then James and his fiance break up... Now maybe, just maybe it's Michaela and James time.
I adored both of these characters. James was wonderful and so was Michaela. Honestly, there was nothing I didn't love about this one. It did feel a little slow at times, which is the only reason it was a 4 for me instead of a 5. Still, I enjoyed it lots and can't wait to get into more of this series!

It kills me to rate a Cosway book this low, but it was SO BORING! Gah. I normally really love her books but this one just didn't work for me.
I do want to read the other books in this series, no one book is the same! And as always, don't let my review sway you, read this book yourself and make up your own mind.

sweet & unpretentious characters in a charming love story !!
Michaela & James are perfect for each other, it is like watching two souls meant to be to find each other and fall in love
"Yes, my feelings for James Khan were complicated, even more so because he was my boss. He was also nine years older than me and engaged to be married."
Michaela is PA for parkour group of jumpers who are filming a reality show around the world. In the meantime, they are based in London. She felt something for James from the moment she met him. Sadly, there is nothing to be done but try to get over whatever she is feeling.
James is set to be married.
Working together is hard, but when she moves in newly purchased James' house to supervise the renovations things are about the get even harder.
"I wondered how that felt, to be in such high demand. Seemed a bit stressful, if you asked me. Everybody lusting after you. Most people might envy the position, but I shuddered at the thought."
Now to all purist out there there is no cheating in this book!
I loved the leading protagonists very, very much. It is been a while since I read two such unassuming, reserved & sweet characters.
I loved the strength of silence, modesty, and loyalty they presented.
The pace was great, it is definitely a book that you can read in one sitting.
I loved it! My favorite couple in this bunch so far!!! It was a story that I wanted to read two books ago and I am so glad that L.H. Cosway delivered on it!!

As always L.H. Cosway never disappoints. I love a brooding hero as much as the next reader, but I also love a hero who is a perfect balance of sexy nice guy. James is exactly that. His story is emotional, realistic and brilliantly handled by Cosway. She flips the switch on domestic abuse, which was extremely refreshing, and she deals with subjects like loss and grief with a sensitive understanding. Despite some of the heavy subject matter, Something in the Air held onto a lightness of heart that I really appreciated. This came through not just in the cast of characters we've come to love with this spin-off, but through the heroine. Michaela is equally likeable as James —a somewhat introvert that I could easily relate to. I picked this up expecting to read it over the course of the week, a few chapters a night before bed, and ended up devouring it in one sitting. It had laughter, it had tears, it had just the right amount of steaminess, and I couldn't put it down! Another winner from this extremely talented author.

Wow! I fell completely in love with this book again. I love to listen to a book as a reread and that was my plan with this one as I loved it when I initially read it. However, I have to admit, I loved listening to this one more than I ever loved reading it. I could not turn it off! I knew what was going to happen but these narrators were so perfect and their voices absolutely enthralling that I couldn’t stop listening. To say I was mesmerized by them both is not overstating it. What’s so amazing about me loving it that much is that I sometimes struggle with narrators who have an accent and yet that was not the case with either Mr. Watt or Ms. Holmes. I already want another book performed by this duo!
This is a beautiful story of pure romance and I could not put it down!
’Quite like jumping from a new and untested height, there were very many things that could go wrong. But when it went right, there wasn’t a feeling like it in the world.’
Michaela has had a crush on James since she first met him. But he’s engaged to another woman, so she fights to hide her attraction which is difficult when she finds herself helping him to restore his house. When the wedding is canceled and life takes a sharp turn for him, she’s quick to be there in any way she can...but are the feelings growing between them true or a result of his emotional turmoil?
I loved that this couple started out as friends and their relationship grew from there. Michaela was sweet and kind, just what James needed. She had a few insecurities that had left her living life in the shadows, but watching her step into the light that was James was wonderful.
James in turn was not a camera hog or a man who had been around the block a time or two. Instead, he was the strong, loyal type that stayed in the background. I loved having his point of view. I felt like I was really able to get to know him and thereby fall in love with him, just as Michaela did.
’With Michaela, my caveman instincts took over. All I wanted to do was claim. When she leaned close, nuzzling her nose into my neck, it was all I could do to keep from growling.’
There isn’t a lot of drama throughout this book but when it shows up things get pretty heavy hearted. I hurt for Michaela but my heart was breaking for James. This couple were just so perfect together and I needed them to get their happy ever after.
This was a great read with low to mid-angst. While the chemistry is very real between this hero and heroine, this is actually a slow burn. But holy heck! When this couple decide to cross the line, they set my kindle on fire! With the rest of the Running on Air characters there were great moments of humor. I love the banter these guys engage in. Overall, this was a wonderful book that promises even more wonderful things as this series continues.

I feel like I always say this but it needs to be repeated: there is just something about L.H. Cosway's writing that is so addictive and no matter what the book is about, I always seem to enjoy it!
This book has tropes that I typically don't like and I was truly worried I wasn't going to be able to believe in James and Michaela's romance but luckily that didn't end up happening here. Cosway really took her time fleshing out and showing the progression of their relationship, from friends to more and I really loved how even though feelings have been there since the beginning, we really watch them get to know each other and be there for each other in a platonic way too.
This book touches on some very important topics and I really think the author handled it well. I wasn't expecting it to go in this direction but it really worked well. I also love how diverse this book was! The hero, James is a POC (his family is Jamaican) and Michaela's best friend is a WOC who is also gay! I love when books have diversity in such casual way, like it's not a big deal because guess what...it's not. People of color exist in our every day lives and I love that they exist in this book in the same way. It's something I've always loved about L.H. Cosway's books and one of the reasons why I'm a big fan of her and her books.
I definitely enjoyed this book more than I did the first book and I can't wait to see who the next book is about! This was a great read and I definitely recommend if you're looking for a addictive read with a really great set of characters (can I get a hell yes for found family!) and a book that talks on important topics!

5- "There's Magic in the Air- STARS!"
I devoured this book last night.
I lost track of time and before I knew it, two hours had past and I was 60% done.
This story was so smoothly written and it flowed so well.
I didn't want to finish reading this book last night.
I wanted to make it last and savor the story, but I HAD to know what would happen next.
Ahhh, so worth it!

L.H. Cosway is a genius at writing emotionally packed books with characters you can’t help but want to be best friends with. Each time a new book is released frothier I get tingly with excitement knowing it’s going to be fun. This book is another great, fun, romantic, heartbreaking, hopeful tale. James and Michaela are fantastic, you’ll love them. It’s was so good I stayed up all night reading, sleep ? Ha ! No way I need to finish this book !
James is a star on a TV action show, featuring Parkour. He is sweet, kind a touch introverted and engaged to a bombshell. Michaela is his PA who is all heart and knows how to do her job. She has a crush on her boss, but respectfully keeps it to herself. She wants to be invisible to him and to be everything to him. Oh, talk about heartbreaking, the longing is so sweet. So when he needs help with a project for is fiancee she jumps in, anything to make his life happier. She is a selfless character taking many kicks in the gut for someone she cares about. He on the other hand has a hidden difficult situation, it’s a twist that is rarely written. As they grow closer the secrets and a couple total heartbreaking events are revealed and this reader broke out in tears for them both. Get the tissue boxes ready !
This would be such a great movie. Well, any of her books would but this one would be the romantic classic we all crave.

I don't think I can read a novel by this woman slowly. I want to savor them, but they're always so good and I can't stop myself from binge reading them in a day. 😍
I feel like I repeat myself in every review, but I can't help that either. Cosway is a character MASTER. She always creates unique and extraordinary characters, all while making them very relatable. I honestly can't think of a single author that does it better, or so consistently. She will always be a unicorn author for me and I will never stop craving her words. 🤗
Also, I should point out that I've been in a bit of a contemporary romance slump lately. But did that touch this book? Nope, it didn't. I was so invested in Michaela and James' story that it didn't matter. You don't need to be in a certain mood or crave a certain trope to read Cosway's stories. They all pull you in and make you want more, no matter what. ❤️

There is nothing - truly nothing I love more in romance than desperate love.
I don't mean that either character is desperate (I mean, nobody likes that). But rather that their feelings for each other are so strong, so unavoidable, so powerful they almost feel palpable and when they finally get together it's with an air of desperation, like they can't breathe without each other. GUH. It's so romantic. So sexy. So irresistible.
And it was this exact sort of desperate love that James and Michaela used to sweep me completely off my feet.
I am so in love!
Honestly. This book was unputdownable. I was addicted to the slow burn in the beginning. There was chemistry between Michaela and James even when they were just friends. My heart ached for them. It yearned for them to find their way to each other. It died a little seeing how perfect they were for each other while each living separate lives.
And then like a match to tinder, they just exploded.
And...y'all. The heat.
Holy. Hotness.
Look, heat isn't something I necessarily gravitate towards in stories. I love chemistry. I love banter. I love a strong emotional connection. But the only time I really love heat is when all of those other things are present and established. And this? This was perfection. Sheer perfection. The perfect story told at the perfect pace with the perfect amount of all of those ingredients.
In case I'm not making myself clear: I loved this book. I adored Michaela and James. My heart is so full and happy and not entirely ready to let them go yet. This just might be one of my favorite stories that LH Cosway has written to date. Absolutely recommend! ~ Shelly, 5 Stars

GUH. It's so romantic. So sexy. So irresistible.
And it was this exact sort of desperate love that James and Michaela used to sweep me completely off my feet.

Honestly. This book was unputdownable. I was addicted to the slow burn in the beginning. There was chemistry between Michaela and James even when they were just friends. My heart ached for them. It yearned for them to find their way to each other. It died a little seeing how perfect they were for each other while each living separate lives.
And then like a match to tinder, they just exploded.
And...y'all. The heat.
Holy. Hotness.
Look, heat isn't something I necessarily gravitate towards in stories. I love chemistry. I love banter. I love a strong emotional connection. But the only time I really love heat is when all of those other things are present and established. And this? This was perfection. Sheer perfection. The perfect story told at the perfect pace with the perfect amount of all of those ingredients.
In case I'm not making myself clear: I loved this book. I adored Michaela and James. My heart is so full and happy and not entirely ready to let them go yet. This just might be one of my favorite stories that LH Cosway has written to date. Absolutely recommend! ~ Shelly, 5 Stars

This is my second book by this author and I am so happy that I finally got around to checking out her books. Yayyy for me!!!!
Yet again another interesting and esssentially British storyline with two "sweet" and unselfish main characters. I very much enjoyed the slow burn aspect to their romance. Even though there is some tragedy, pain and heartache involved here I wouldn't classify this as an overly angsty read.
I am already looking forward to my next read by Ms. Cosway whenever and whatever it might be.

I loved this book so much! A wonderful love story with unique characters. Our hero is part of a reality show featuring parkour. Although he is focused on physical fitness so he can do his stunts, he also has made time for a relationship. He is engaged. One day our heroine walks in to his life. She is quiet and a bit shy. She is also brilliantly organized. This is helpful since she is one of the personal assistants on the show.
For our heroine it was love at first sight. She is aware that nothing can come of her unrequited love, but 'the heart wants what the heart wants.'
Normally we romantics would cringe at the heroine who lusts after a taken man. But this author has the gift of writing. She brings the characters around to the conclusion we want without making any of them seem to be 'home wreckers' or adulterers.

5 stars!! Once I started it, I couldn’t put it down!! I enjoyed it so much! This book is James and Michaela’s story. I loved these characters so much. Such a fantastic book!! I highly recommend!!!

Nice to catch up with previous book's characters.

I am a huge Cosway fan. I adored the “Hearts” series and it was the first to make me fell in love with her. Even now I remember my huge crush on Oliver and Jay. 😀 I like her style and how she develops a very interesting plot, with action and really cool things. Not to mention she loves a good romance, as we all.
“Running on Air” is a spin-off for this series and believe me, it’s as good as the first one. “Something in the Air” is the second book, based on the obvious connection that Michaela and James had in the first installment. Now we get to know all the details, all the little things we were not aware of because we were focusing on the main couple. Personally, I liked them from book 1 and I was hoping their story will come soon. The wait was not very long, I suppose.
I don’t think there was something that I didn’t enjoy about the story. I read it in 1 day and it flew naturally, in a very sweet way. Both characters were enjoyable and very fun and easy to read about. Michaela and James really fit and throughout the story, we will see exactly how. I think they were the perfect combination to cure old and current wounds and they were put together so well, healing each other.
I liked the accent the author put on domestic violence and this time with a certain twist. Each character has it’s past and they all have issued which are explained and in a way, surpassed due to the maturity they found in this love of theirs. I know, it sounds a little complicated, but it’s not. They were supposed to be together and this book proves it in a very natural way. There are both so good people, loyal, friendly, with kind characters. They love their work and this is a thing worth reading about because you can feel their dedication to the “Running on Air” show and to the other members of the ream.
So, a very sweet, romantic and special book. I just know L.H.Cosway had a blast writing it and the result is visible.

Something in the Air is a testament to the profound way that author LH Cosway connects her characters to her readers. There is this shared, almost magical, empathic thread running through her words, fusing the thoughts and feelings, trials and tribulations of her protagonists to her readers. And for me, it’s clearly because her storytelling is utterly vivid, told in technicolour; Heartbreaking, uplifting, sensuous, complicated and emotive technicolour. She doesn’t have to oversaturate the page with big words or long winded speeches from her characters, everything just flows naturally. It’s enthralling and romantic, sweet and sexy.
For me this is all simply LH Cosway’s signature style when it comes to layering and showcasing her heroes and heroines. They are never just one thing, hemmed under one label, they’re complex, distinguishable, a maze of emotions and contradictions, quirky behaviour and lovable antics. And nothing engages me more than when the author is able to peel back those layers and show us a hero and heroine that are truly capable of holding up that mantle.

Jame was an absolute beauty of a hero. In fact, I think it’s safe to say he has snatched the crown of being my favourite LH Cosway hero. This man is incredible. Sincere, loyal, strong, beautiful in every possible way. The issues James has to deal with within this story aren’t represented much at all in these types of books but LH has managed to bring focus to a very important topic, in fact to a few very important topics, such as grief, anxiety and abuse. She delved into it all with amazing sensitivity and realism and still managed to find a perfect balance with adding in humour, oodles of romance and one of the hottest elevator scenes my eyeballs have ever had the pleasure to read.
Michaela was a godsend of a heroine. Because the majority of the book is told from her point of view we really get to understand her character. She’s adorable. Optimistic, hard working, funny, dependable and not as innocent as a Vicar’s daughter is often presumed to be, which evened out the scoreboard when it came to how James and Michaela would navigate the nine year age difference. These two are soul mates, plain and simple. Their actions, their dialogue and interactions had me so captivated that the age gap never once entered my mind. Yet another sterling example of a beautiful storyteller, when everything fits seamlessly together.
Something in the Air is a truly phenomenal contemporary romance. If you’re looking for a beautifully crafted and executed love story; one that manages to entice, excite and enthrall, then look no further than this stunning parkour-induced, falling-in-love adventure.

With soul-mates as characters that you can't help but fall for, this story was reminiscent of my favorite Cosway books of the past.
❝I belonged to him, body and soul. And he had no idea.❞
We first met this couple in 'Off The Air', and the gentle way in which James took care of Michaela in the car scene had me pining for their story. I thank God that I wasn't disappointed.
❝I even flirted with the idea of kissing her, just to see what she'd taste like. It was a moment of madness.❞
In 'Something in the Air', we go back to the beginning -- when Michaela Olsson first set eyes on James Khan, before she's hired as a PA to James and the Running on Air crew, and before she learns he's engaged to be married -- to the moment her heart swelled, and the butterflies took flight. That first meeting zipped with chemistry, and it set the stage for what was to come; an angsty, sizzling, intoxicating slow-burn romance that is full of heart and charm.

I should warn you that you can get severely hydrated while reading Something in the Air. Once you start reading it, it won’t let you quit. Who cares about bathroom break, just follow Afric’s lead and make your own adult diaper. All that is important is this book and its wonderfully-flawed characters.
I can’t say I fell in love with Michaela and James immediately because that deed had already happened when they were both introduced to us for the first time but their actions and thoughts in this story made me love them more.
Ah, I wish I could forget I read it, so I can read it again for the first time!

Micheala Olsson is head over heels for James Khan. There are just a few problems with this: He’s engaged to another woman. He’s her boss. And he’s almost 10 years older than her. Micheala is content to just be his friend, he has enough stress in his life being one of the stars of a popular reality TV show about parkour. When he asks her to move into a house he in renovating for his fiancee to help with the project, she’s eager to help, but wary of getting closer to her unattainable crush. However, when bad news hits James, he starts to see his life and the people in his life more clearly and he ends his engagement. Could this be the chance they need?
Whenever I see a hero or heroine is already in a relationship at the start of a book it immediately raises alarm bells in my mind. I don’t want to see cheating, even if I don’t like the person a character is cheating on. So, when I read the blurb I admit, I was wary of starting this book, but L.H. Cosway is an author I love and trust so I picked this up. I should never have doubted her! I can assure everyone, there’s no cheating in this book. James doesn’t see Micheala as more than friend until a time after he’s broke up from his fiance. So, if like me, you read the blurb and thinking of skipping, don’t!
This book hits on several popular tropes, friends to lovers, slow burn, age difference, unrequited love and workplace romance. Yet, Cosway combined these in a seamless and engaging way. This was such an easy book to blaze through as you watch Micheala and James fall in love. It was sweet, spiced up with some delicious sex scenes but, when it came to it, was just two really good people falling in love; sometimes you just want to see the nice guy get the girl.
This book also touches a bit on male mental health as we see that James suffers from anxiety and is currently going through a very difficult time. I thought Cosway dealt with this with great sensitivity and without dwelling on the subject, keeping the tone of the book thoughtful, but fairly light.
A really nice addition to this series, it perhaps isn’t as memorable as some of her other work; however, sometimes you want a light romance that’s both smartly written and easy to read.

I was lucky enough to get to read an ARC. I love this book! I love how LH Cosway writes flawed, loveable, and relatable characters. This is a stand alone book. Even though you don't need to, I suggest to read the other books because you get other points of view of all the characters that help give them a three dimensional feel. This book is about Michaela and James. I have been curious about Michaela since we met her in Leanne's book. Michaela is the group's personal assistant along with Neil. She has developed a crush on James since they got stuck in the elevator, but the problem is James is engaged to Diana. Michaela tried to get over James, but things happen that change their lives. WHAT??? You say...My answer is read the book! You will love it! I don't want to give more of the story away. Because LH Cosway is such a good writer, she pulls you in and you never want to leave.

I really enjoy Ms Cosway's writing. I've read her co-authored (with Penny Reid) rugby series books. I loved them all. I'm trying to make my way through her solo authored books.
I couldn't resist this latest release.
Michaela is very shy and quiet. She works as a PA on the reality TV show "Running on Air". I don't
like show biz stories, but this author and the blurb got to me.
I loved the growing attraction between James (the star of the show) and Michaela. They start off as friends. James is engaged to Diana. She's a terrible person, but tries to keep that side of her under wraps, and for when she's alone with James. There is no cheating
Michaela has a crush on James. She's very good at her job & James becomes more and more reliant on her assistance.
This is definitely a character driven story. I was relieved to have more relationship and less about the TV show (not my thing).
I was also happy that Michaela is not a doormat. She could be shy and quiet, but also very strong.
I loved the ending and the way James and Michaela grew on their own and.... together.
I reco this book and this author. I'm sure that I'll go back and read book one.

I'm loving the Running on Air series, and thought that no one would displace Cal and Leanne as my favorite couple, but James and Michaela had such a great story that they are equally tied for first place in my heart. I loved seeing reappearances by everyone involved with the show, and getting glimpses at who I think will be pared up in future books. Back to this book - This was a delicious slow burn, mildly angsty story. My heart ached for James and all that he went through in this book. I was thankful to see the author tackle some hard topics here, and with a bit of gender reversal from what is normally talked about in books, and also in real life, and she did it very well. This is the third book in this series, and while this one could be easily be read as a standalone, I feel like you'd have a better experience reading them in order. And they are each so amazing that I think everyone needs to read them all! I have now read 4 books by LH Cosway, each one has been amazing, and believe that her writing has easily put her in my top 5 favorite authors.
