Editor Toya Sakurai and novelist Kai Hodaka have been absorbed in their steamy love affair for over a year now. They are entranced in their relationship, but are unable to shake the anxiety they are feeling from having to keep the affair quiet. They may not have to worry about their anxieties much longer because a rumor has begun to spread that the two are lovers. To top that, Hodaka has also found out that someone wants to reassign Toya to another author!
I love it. years i want to read this novel. Toya made a sacrifice to end his relationship with Kai to end rumor. there are many other issue before break up. it was really good. For other would say it an abusive relationship and another version fifty shade of grey. it was 2005 so before that series. i really enjoy it
2.5 stars I noticed some errors from the editing. Then several points that disturb me: like too many sound effects, repetitive description, and how the relationship between both protagonist develop. Complete reviews will put on the last book.
I really had a problem with the sex scenes, they are just too harsh and shallow despite of how much they love each other so much. When you think they are going to have "normal sex" for once, they started with sadism and irony, I do not like that. This time I really fell the anguish and solitude in Hodaka and really enjoyed the reconciliation, but Toya really got on my nerves: what is that he always understand everything until the end?!
My rising intolerance of Toya's inner hysteria is threatening to kill my nervous system. Too angsty for my taste. Too repetitive when it comes to Toya's thoughts and feelings. Just be a man, God damn it! The sex scenes are actually the only saving grace of this book. Ghh! It's so lame!
