Carefree Megumi Kuroishi was living a life of luxury until the day a girl named Suzuka Kogami walked into his life. All of a sudden, Megumi finds himself kneeling at Suzuka's feet and prostrating himself like a servant! What Megumi doesn't know (until that very moment anyway) is that his family is cursed to follow the orders of the Kogami family.

Suzuka becomes steeped in jealousy when she observes Megumi's interactions with Rui, the maid. But with the curse in the way, can Suzuka ever hope to have a normal relationship with Megumi?

This book is about Megumi and Suzuka on their own while Megumi's father is in china to find out what Suzuka's parents were doing there. When he comes back he informs them that they went there looking for the Dragon scroll, and he knew where to find it. Now Megumi and Suzuka are going back to china to find the missing artifact that the dragon lost, to remove the cure of the kuroishi family.

This book reminded of a book called fallen moon. They relationship that Suzuka and Megumi have is like the story told in the book there was prince who fell in love with a witch and no matter what anyone one said he found no threat from her.

I give this book 5 stars because I enjoyed the story and the way the author made the characters reactions and actions. I thought that it was funny in some parts, but I just like reading magna books.

Overall Series Rating 2.5 Stars

I like the artwork and this sounded cute… so I kept at it.

I have a stubbornness about finishing stories (I should let this go) but the characters in Captive Heart feel flat. I read MeruPuri by the same author and had real problem with the relationship dynamics, I’ve got similar problem in Captive Hearts. Both Megumi and Suzuka are entirely too accepting of “the curse”. Once you get past volume 1 everybody just seems to go along with the fact that the two of them are in love (except for a brief concern from Megumi’s mother).

This series just keeps getting better. Megumi and Suzuka are just so lovey-dovey, you might just puke a little. okay, i'm kidding. But as their relationship tries to progress, the curse gets in the way. Does Megumi love Suzuka b/c she's the love of his life, or b/c the curse compels him to? Suzuka is able to contact the dragon god, and finds a way to break the curse. But, is it even possible to find what is lost? Onto China to find out!

Today's manga post is on Captive Hearts, Vol. 04 by Matsuri Hino. It is 192 pages long and is published by Shojo Beat. The cover has the two main characters on it, Suzuka and Megumi. As it is the fourth in the series, you need to have read the first three volumes of the series to understand the story. The intended reader is someone who likes urban fantasy and shojo love stories. There is no foul language, no sex, and no violence in this manga. The story is told from third person close of the main characters. There Be Spoilers Ahead.
From the back of the manga- Suzuka becomes steeped in jealousy when she observes Megumi's interactions with Rui, the maid. But with the curse in the way, can Suzuka ever hope to have a normal relationship with Megumi?

Review- Suzuka and Megemi are growing closer and the curse is really hurts both of them. Because of the curse Megumi cannot trust his feelings and Suzuka feels that she is forcing Megumi into something he does not want. But they handle these doubts very well by explaining themselves. Then we get to see how Megumi's parents met. The side story was cute. But there is only one volume left and I want to know more about the curse. I am curious about how this is going to wrap up.

I give this volume a Four out of Five stars. I get nothing for my review and I bought this manga with my own money.

Questo è il volume che adoro più di tutti. La storia d'amore si sta intensificando e si scoprono nuovi retroscena sui genitori di Megumi. Quanto è gnocco il padre da giovane!

Meh

Plot holes, confusing scene transitions, throw away characters... Not much going for this volume. Hardly worth the time to read it.

Megumi + Suzuka = foolish couple :p
They're too lovey dovey to the point that it's obnoxious LOL

On the other hand, I want more story about Keito and Kuroishi, and how on earth they could get married :))

Still pretty much meh and predictable. Definitely for the "give away" pile.

This would be a good one, actually, if it did not feel completely disjointed from the rest of the series.

Still silly, still a decent series, though not the best. Sometimes I feel like there are too many bits edited out of the final story before we see it. Anyone else feeling that way?
