Haruna thinks that school life is just like a monkey mountain—all the monkeys form cliques, get into fights, and get back together again. The school that she just transferred to is no exception. There's even a boy called Macharu Yamashita who reminds her of a baby monkey!

Haruna and Macharu take to the stage once again when their class decides to do a rendition of Romeo and Juliet . Haruna's uneasy about acting in front of the entire school, especially since her father might show up for the performance. Will the play bring Haruna and Macharu closer together or end in absolute disaster?

Masuru (Macharu) and Haruna are wonderful together. I just wish that Atsu would butt the heck out of their relationship, and let them have personal time together without constantly trying to break them up to have Haruna to himself.

Really great fun romance manga about black cat and golden retriever who are totally into each other. I HATE his friend WTF. Why are neither of them putting him in his damn place. You know I love that they communicate all the time. The art is cute also.

Notes: Atsu is the most unbearable character here. A bad friend for Macharu an Haruna. How in the world he can say he's friends with them and want them to split up so he can be with her? What dumb mentality!!!

I’m having a hard time liking Atsu… I know he’s struggling with his feelings for Haruna and his friendship with Macharu but come on! You don’t say the kinds of things he says to a friend! You definitely don’t make it seem like you’re going to steal his girl away when he’s not looking….

The Romeo & Juliet play was so funny... I really laughed at the final scene!

This was a really good book. This was like my first manga book that I've ever read, so....it was pretty funny. The theme would have to be, humor, If that is a theme. Well, that's what I think the theme would be. Mostly entertaining. So, anyways, it's about this girl named Haruna. And apparently, she's sorta of dating a monkey. Well, by monkey, meaning the most monkey like person attending Monkey High. Macharu. I think that's how you spell it. So apparently, they're like producting a play of Romeo and Juliet and the 2 lovers (Macharu & Haruna) are playing the parts. And while conducting this play, it's strangely funny. Instead of saying, "O Juilet" or whatever, he kept saying her name. And that's been like causing trouble to the play. So on opening night, still kept saying her name. But then, there was a change in that. He wasn't saying his lines right. He was like making up stuff as he goes. Or probably saying how he really feels about Haruna. So he like tries to climb the so called castle to reach her, but he slips and falls on his head. So it's time for his "Best Man" to come and steal his part. Atsu is his name. And Atsu really likes Haruna but it's not really "Like" like. He probably sees her as a challenge and kiss her in the play. But everything goes downhill. Haruna trips, falls, and bails out of the play. Atsu was at the part where he was "supposedly" kissing Juilet, but it was Macharu who has a mild concussion. So everything in the play was a mess.

This volume was a really fun read filled with humorous scenarios including another class play starring Haruna and Macharu. This volume also has a Special Edition chapter centered around Atsu and Macharu from when they were in the 3rd grade that was really cute. This volume was another great edition to the series.

Sometimes I wonder if Atsu does like Haruna or not. I can't wait to read the next book. Atsu kind of threw down his cards, but it's odd. He's an odd kid in general.
