3.5 stars. buddy read

This took me a bit longer to get through because many characters were being vague and talking around things instead of being straightforward. I am happy that

Well what can I say another fantastic book. I love this series and I'll be so sad when it's over as I have spent so long in this world. I hated them for going after Quiet and that Ainsley was affected too. Mama Jumba gave her usual fun and witty comments throughout. I'm sad that they were attacked and what it meant in the end. I love that Sophia and Wilder have started to acknowledge the feelings between them. It was nice to see the old crew come and help in their time of need. This is just one of those series that you can't stop reading.

Attack at home (and heart?!)

Actually, mainly attack at home. The heart stuff comes in, rather subtly, and I'm still on the fence as to whether Noffke should have set some of the heart themes up better in the first three books of this serie. All in all, I think it works, so....yeh.

But that's really a sub-plot. The main plot has to do with the Dragonriders having their home exposed and being attacked at home. Again, just like in my last review of this series, if like to point out that Noffke writes fun characters. I just enjoy meeting new characters and she has a sense of quirky joy to the narration. Everyone is unique and quirky in their own way, and it lends an easy depth to her characters, because it gives the reader room to know them. Why are they that way? The discovery is a fun part of the journey.

So....fun read, interesting twists. Looking forward to the next in the series.

A tale from long ago, and a new enemy

The novel doesn’t start with Sophia this time, but with an event from long ago. This is an intriguing beginning to this novel and something I’ve been waiting to read about.

I was wondering what would happen with Thad being defeated, and Sarah hasn’t let us down. A new enemy emerges with mysterious circumstances, and Sophia and the Dragonriders have their hands full once more.

Sophia continues to learn learn more about herself and also others, and there are lots of lessons for her to learn. As always, the snark and humour are superb, with some wise advice sprinkled throughout. Another excellent story about Sophia, Lunis, and friends.

This is another excellent book in the series. A new threat surfaces, one that seems to know more about Gullington than the riders who live there do. Disaster strikes in multiple ways and Sophia and the other Elite struggle to save what they love. Personal conflictions add a nice twist in this story too. I loved how we learnt more about Quiet’s history and how he came to be the Dragonriders grounds keeper. There is lots of mystery, action, humor, suspense, battles, and surprises in this book. The characters continue to grow and develop in depth as the series progresses and you can not help but become more and more attached to them. I really enjoyed seeing more of the characters from the Unstoppable Liv Beaufont series mixed in with this book and can not wait to find out exactly who or what the new enemy is. The story does not have a dull or slow minute, it keeps you enthralled from beginning to end and leaves you dying for the next book in the series.

Sweet

First thing, if you are contemplating reading this book two words:
DO IT!
I suggest you read all of these tasty literary treats in order so you become as addicted as I am. I love everything about this series. This installment was no exception. S.Beaufont is who I imagine myself as in my daydreams; Lunis is the friend I hope I find. She is clever, brave, compassionate, giving, complicated, and completely oblivious to her feelings. I identify with that on so so many levels. Sarah and Michael craft stories that make me feel. No matter if its laughing out loud with Soph and Lunis, sigh in frustration at Ru and Hiker, or swoon over the subtle sweetness of new love... congratulations you two another epic addition to a great adventure! I cannot wait to dive in head first and immerse myself to the next one.

Wow!

So much has happened in this book, and Sophia is changed so much by it all. But then, so are all the other Dragon Elite, and it took Gullington nearly falling, and some of the new Dragon Eggs being stolen, to bring them together as they should be.

I loved this book. So much happened in it, and Sophia finally faced the truth about herself, that she'd been trying to hide away from. But, then, all of the Dragon Elites have come so far here, and I'm looking forwards to seeing how they cope with their new dynamics.

So, though this review is brief, all I can really say, is that the book is awesome, as is usual for Sarah Noffke, and I'm going to go straight along, and start reading book five in this series: Justice Unhatched, to see what will happen next.

So I'll catch you on the flip side, folks!

Best one yet!

These books are each so long and detailed. It's good and bad. The good is that one is glad to have so much to experience but bad because you also can't wait until you get to the end and there are well over a hundred chapters. Then the end hits and now you need to wait for the next one. Luckily for us Noffke/Anderle fans we don't have to wait long for the next book. I particularly liked this one the best so far. Especially the end. I need atleast a little romance in all I read. I just do. So I think from here on out I will find myself liking this series more and more. There is something for everyone in these books. Keep up the great work Noffke/Anderle!

beware, frustration ahead

This episode in Sophia’s story was a study in frustration. The authors have been maintaining a fine balance between the needs of their plots and the frustration levels of their readers with the repeated use of riddle runs and ridiculous Fae encounters. However, this one tips right over the edge into “full frustration mode.” I finished it because it was necessary to move on; in spite of wanting to throw the book a few times, I was still engaged enough to muscle through. I am hopeful the next installment will be better paced and heavier on entertainment and not reliant on “tail chasing” gimmicks.

Again, you have done the impossible! Better than the last book. How do you keep this up?

Sarah or tiny ninja, great story! At this point I don't know why I'm surprised by your stories and how much color and depth you add to everything you write! I think I have read and reviewed everything except some of you older books Ren and so on. I have the next book already on pre-order and marked on my calender. Make a deal with you, you keep writing and I'll keep read in and reviewing your books. Peace Allen

Book 4 is another example of Ms Noffke's amazing storytelling ability. Sophia is such a typical teen in an untypical world. She's smart and sassy and would give the shirt off her back if asked. When she comes back from the House of Fourteen and sees the Castle crumbling, she knows she must do all she can to solve the mystery. Then again, we finally find out about Quiet as Sophia tries to find an antidote to the poison he was given. Along with all this, someone is trying to steal the dragon eggs. Oh, my!! Fast paced and full of action. Now where is book 5?

Another great installment in the S. Beaufont series!
I was looking forward to see what would happen next given Thad had been defeated, and I was not disappointed. There is always plenty of trouble, action, adventure and magic when Sophia is around. In this one Sophia needed to call in outside help, and I loved the cross-over of these characters. The Gullington is in trouble and a solution needs to be found....fast! But Sophia seems to be on different missions, rather than helping to defend the castle. The New Elite was a great escape from reality!

Hiker’s evil twin brother, Thad is dead and the human world is safer. Maybe. It’s a new era for the Dragonriders. Now Hiker has to learn how to use his new doubled power and modern technology.
While Sophia has to learn to be a mother to a thousand new dragon eggs.

I love the characters in this series, but Sophia and Wilder really make this story. And I love that we finally find out more about Quiet

Fave scenes: Mahkah’s explanation of the seasons, descending into the ice chasm, Mae Ling’s balloon and Sophia & Wilder on the Expanse.

I'm blubbering like a fool!

Ok Miss Nofke, you are just plucking at my heart strings now! So Sophia's home is under attack, her eggs are threatened, those she loves are hurt and of course she needs to go on a quest to fix everything! I am thrilled at the guests appearances in this book! But everything leads up to the last few chapters and boy are they worth the adventure getting to them! Ok, the adventure on the way is pretty fantastic in itself but that ending!!!!

I love the characters and personalities in this series and its funny. I also really enjoy how author pulls in charachters from Sister LiV story.

I think i say this everytime a new book comes out in this series, but this has been my favorite one so far! Sophia is coming into her own as a dragon rider and as a young woman. It's so exciting to see her growing and experiencing such wonderful news things, i can't wait to find out how things continue!

Yet another author of the tea party

Yes, the title makes no sense...but then it has merit. Oldsters might remember a story about a little girl who fell down a rabbit hole, and suddenly the clues begin to make sense out of the confusion and fury surrounding Sophia. Misdirected comments and riddles have become her life,,, will she overcome? A good read.

I think this is the best book in this series so far. Sarah Noffke is one of my favorite authors , so I might be biased. ( no offense to Michael Anderle )
Anyway , I read this while on mandatory corona lockdown in Spain. It made a dreary , housebound day a little brighter..
Thank you ! Be safe !

Excellent addition!

Great addition to this series. Readers, read it!
Writers of COURSE keep writing this series! It's incredible. I was surprised that L. and S. Beaufont are both technically part of the Oriceran universe, I had no idea, due to some differences in species, etc., but I like it! Keeps things fresh. Keep Going! So y'all wanna build a snowman? Please do!

The New Elite continues the adventures of Sophia the dragon rider and her unusual friends and comrades. This is a fun, quirky series.

This book starts a new story arc since the last one concluded in the last book, but I would still recommend reading the previous books first.

Suitable for YA and adult readers.

So. Much. Fun.

These books are so much fun! One of the things I like the best is that while the same things happen, nothing is ever truly the same! The characters are well drawn but not so specific that you can’t imagine certain things about them. And, like I said, the stories are fun! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Excellent

Wicked, another excellent book in the series. What a battle for Gullington. I love that Quiet is so integral to the whole thing. A little confused as Warrior Maria was mentioned, yet in a previous book from the Luv series, she was killed! I guess the odd error is expected. Stull, excellent!!!

Another great read

Well the Castle and grounds are not shielded anymore. Quiet is sick and so is Ains! Quiet has a past but what is his real name? Read to see what S. Beaufont and the riders go through in this one. Can’t wait for the next one!

Another great read

An excellent story which moves the plot further along. Sophia has matured into an exceptional woman. Love story makes sense given the characters involved. I can’t wait to see what comes next. Will there be a series involving Clark?
