THE SECURITY SCHOOL: A Finn Delaney New York City Mystery, Book 3

Rate this book
Everyone has a gift. For some the gift is intellectual, and for others it involves physical skills. For young private eye Finn Delaney, his gift seems to be a knack for stumbling into murder, mayhem, and international intrigue. In the third installment of the series, Finn again takes us on a thrill packed, often times humorous ride, through the Streets of New York City, which have become the flash point for an international incident that only Finn can stop. Finn is a man disillusioned at many levels. .

His hopes, dreams, and family tradition of police work were snatched from him due to a knee injury, leading Finn into the world of private investigation. The journey into the world of private detective has been equally frustrating. Despite the fact that Finn has uncovered police corruption, international murder, solved a two-year old murder case, and was responsible for getting an innocent man released from prison, he is still scraping a living primarily by chasing cheating husbands and boyfriends. Adding to Finn's stress is his childhood friend and local bartender Kevin Malone, who wants to use Finn's office to open a security guard training school. Kevin's irresponsible nature will all but ensure another appointment with danger and mystery, this time involving Eastern Europe, shady lawyers, and horse racing.

I enjoyed reading this light-hearted somewhat humorous story of Finn and his friend Kevin.
It was a decent plot for a mystery and I was not aware of any strife between the 2 countries included in the story.
So I learned a little history and must check it out on the web further.
will be reading book #4 shortly.
