Supongo que Megan Wade me lo advirtió al principio con lo de las declaraciones exageradas y el hombre mayor etc etc
Leí historias cortas y son preciosas siendo todavía tan breves pero esta es simplemente ridícula de principio a fin!
Willa va a la empresa de Landon a buscar pruebas de que él robó a su padre y pide ver papeles, archivos como si no fuera una empresa de esta época con tecnología de primera?! No sé cómo pensaba reunir esas pruebas al final del día. Se suponía que ella era una mujer inteligente y no tenía idea de nada!
Encima se golpea la cabeza y termina desmayada con una conmoción cerebral?! Poco creíble toda esa situación.
Lo más increíble de todo es que ella se termina olvidando de su plan y se acuesta con el hombre que cree es un ladrón y traidor ese mismo día que entra a su empresa bajo un nombre falso.
A estas alturas estaba rodando los ojos por lo estúpido que estaba ocurriendo!
Esta cosa de exagerar una historia lo haces a propósito Megan Wade?
No me gustó nada de esta historia, no logró sorprenderme ni los protagonistas enamorarme o agradarme al menos.
Una pena y pérdida de un par de horas que me tomó leerlo.

This author is fast becoming a one click for me. This was a great read and these two are so cute.

OM/YW romance. Great read. Willa was plotting to get her revenge on Landon because she thought he stole from her dad. Little did she know that was not the case. Landon and Willa were so good together. They had an insane chemistry that was hard for either of them to fight. Loved the sweet epilogues.

What I liked about this book was that Willa was willing to take a moment to think about Landon’s proposal before she accepted. Mind you it wasn’t super long but most of the others in the previous books did not so beggars can’t be choosers.
My biggest gripe with this for me was the age gap. Depending on the gap I am not opposed to it if the two characters have never met. Like a chance encounter or maybe a mini meet cute with a long separation afterwards. What I don’t like is that Landon was Willa’s father’s ex business partner and he was around during her childhood watching her grow up.
Landon talked about how he remembers when Willa was 6 years old and he would give her cherry suckers when she did good things. He was 25 at the time and that is just out of line. It’s screaming possible grooming to me and I didn’t like that at all. It took herculean effort to get through the rest of this cause the author kept pointing out this ridiculous gap especially from Landon’s POV. It didn’t really help as the numbers kept haunting me and the word predator started to show up when thinking about him.
The small saving grace is that at least in the epilogue, even though he proposed in the book, they dated for a year before they married.
This is going right under Pumpkin as one I wouldn’t reread this again. I am so glad that there are only 3 books left in this Sweet Curves series. I just found book 9 which is called Peaches and Cream on KU.
Let’s hope this series finishes out strong.

I feel like this series just gets better as it goes along. I love an older man/younger woman romance and this one hit the spot. It was so sweet it's definitely going on my re-read list.
Willa lies to get an internship at the company of her father's former partner. She's been told all her life that Landon stole everything from her father and that he is why their life has been so terrible. The only thing that annoyed me is that she knows that he's a drunk and not a great man but she never questions what her father tells her.
Landon, unbeknownst to her, has tried to take care of her through her entire life, including giving her a "scholarship" to college. He doesn't expect when he finally comes face to face again with that little girl from so long ago that he'll fall head over heels for her. She's what's been missing in his life.
An over the top read? Of course! That's what you get with the Sweet Curves series so just sit back and enjoy it.

Landon has alway kept tabs on Willa from afar making sure she was taken care of. Now he's confused why Willa is a intern under a different name?

Sucker is book six in the sweet curves series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Landon James used to be Willa’s fathers best friend and business partner. When they parted ways, Willa’s father changed and her life became difficult. Determined to get answers and justice for her father, Willa comes up with a plan. Landon James knows his new intern isn’t who she says she is. He knows who she is and the connection; he just doesn’t know what she is up to.
The chemistry between Willa and Landon is clear to see and I liked them as a couple.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.

20 year age gap, dad’s best friend (well in this case, ex best friend) and Landon knew Willa as a little girl which just adds a tiny bit of “wrong” to the story... and I love that!
The story overall was cute-ish. Very insta-love and all that seeing as they hadn’t been around each other in 15 years since she was a kid, but Landon did watch over her. Still, he hadn’t seen her in person until the day she walked in his office for revenge for her dad but ended up in bed with Landon instead.
Everything was resolved in a day and the I love yous and marriage proposal came out right away. I wish it felt more genuine but it’s a tricky thing with these short stories. You either magically get that connection between the characters or you just don’t. I’d say the feeling hit about 50% for me.
Still, I’m a sucker for these quickie stories and I’ll still keep reading them. 🤷🏼♀️

Willa Quinn is a twenty-one year old college student who is about to start an internship at James Tech. Landon James is forty-one years old and started, owns and runs James Tech, a business social media platform. At one time Landon had been best friends and business partners with Willa's father, even starting James Tech together. But her dad was on a self destructive path and when it started to put the business in jeopardy Landon bought him out and went on his own, even assuming all the business debts that had been wracked up. But Willa is not aware of what actually happened as all of her life she has been told that that Landon cheated her father, made him poor and ruined his reputation in the computer industry so that he could not find proper work, meanwhile Landon went on to become rich. So Willa has a plan to infiltrate Landon Tech, using her dorm roommate's ID, using an internship. She wants find the original computer code to prove that her Landon is a cheat and fraud.................he is the enemy.
Unfortunately on Willa's first day, Valentine's Day, at James Tech things don't quite go as planned. She is caught by Landon in the "library" and when she tries to get away from him she gives herself a mild concussion. What she is not aware of is that Landon knows exactly who she is and has ensured the she was hired, using the fake ID, and has watched her in the building since she arrived. He remembers her as a cute six year old girl with pigtails who would learn something new to show him and he would give her a cherry sucker as a reward. Now she is a beautiful, smart and very curvy young woman and he is having all sorts of thoughts, ideas, desires and urges.
This is an insta-love, OTT romance short story that is a fun and entertaining read. The story-line was cute and the characters are nicely written. As this book is in dual POV half the fun is reading both Willa and Landon's internal monologues, both of which had me laughing. There is also a nice amount of steam chemistry and a couple hot scenes. I enjoyed this fast-paced story.

I didn't like this one at all. The romance was cute I must admit that, but it was very rushed even for a short story. Also, the Hero has been a friend of the heroine's father so he is pretty old (around his 40's when he meets again the heroine) and he knew her since she was a child. I don't know why but that repulses me. I am not against older man/young woman relationships but this rubbed me the wrong way.

The tasty treat who owns it…
This was my first read of anything written by this author, and I will definitely be going back for more! I love the BBW storyline – I find it so empowering for the bigger ladies, like myself. And I’m also loving the OMYW trope. These make for a great combination.
Sucker revolves around it’s two main characters of Willa and Landon. They knew each other when she was a kid. Her father was his business partner and close friend. Trouble ensued, and the relationship between Landon and her father was dissolved. There was a lot of bitterness, and misguided accusations of blame and hate.
To avenge the supposed wrong-doing to her father, Willa tried to go undercover into Landon’s company as an intern, with a false name. But he recognises her, and calls her out on it. He wants to know what her intentions are… all the while realising how much a beautiful and alluring woman she has turned into.
There are lots of ups and downs, drama, angst and misunderstandings, as they very rapidly acknowledge their feelings for each other. It’s sweet, steamy and very passionate from both sides. But they’re perfect for each other. And as Landon says, it took, “one look, one meeting, one moment”. SWOON!
Admittedly, my head was all over the place… her father is horrible, so is Landon, I feel sorry for her father, now I feel bad for saying that about Landon, yep, definitely not a fan of her father, and I DO like Landon… woah! But I was very happy with the ending, and wouldn’t even mind having these characters and their continuing storyline revisited down the track, to see what they’re up to.
I’m also really looking forward to reading more of what’s to come from this author. I’m sure it’ll be great!

There are lots of ups and downs, drama, angst and misunderstandings, as they very rapidly acknowledge their feelings for each other. It’s sweet, steamy and very passionate from both sides. But they’re perfect for each other. And as Landon says, it took, “one look, one meeting, one moment”. SWOON!
Admittedly, my head was all over the place… her father is horrible, so is Landon, I feel sorry for her father, now I feel bad for saying that about Landon, yep, definitely not a fan of her father, and I DO like Landon… woah! But I was very happy with the ending, and wouldn’t even mind having these characters and their continuing storyline revisited down the track, to see what they’re up to.
I’m also really looking forward to reading more of what’s to come from this author. I’m sure it’ll be great!

This is the first book that I've read by this author and I didn't know what to expect. This book is # 6 I'm the Sexy Curves Series.
Willa is a loud, a very opinionated person and a very curvy sexy young woman. Willa thinks that Landon is a thief and he stole from her father and she intends to rectify the situation. She goes for a job at his business an internship and hides her identity.
Landon is a very smart, sexy alpha male who knows what he wants.
He knew Willa when she was very young, because her father is Landon ex best friend. Even now he's very protective over her and calls her 'Angel'
( NO SPOILERS ).
This book is told from different points of view which I prefer and I always love epilogue too.This book is a quick, sexy read a Insta love.
These characters do have some sexual attraction between each other. But I feel like this is a forbidden love story because he was there when she was very young and even though she's older, or old enough for me it still feels sort of wrong. Willa got on my nerves alittle to because for a man she supposed to hate she changed her tune quite quickly.
I think the author writes brilliantly however I just wasn't feeling the story line. I felt the story moved through very quickly and went from 0 - 60 in a second everything went so fast. From when the characters met to what they end up to.
I wasn't really sure about this book and I think that this time that this story wasn't for me.

4/5 STARS. I thought this was an enemies to lovers but I guess not. Landon is Willa’s dads former best friend and she’s out for revenge for what he did to her father even though Landon has a legitimate reason. Landon is a billionaire and the primary owner of James Tech. Willa’s father used to own part of the company but was thrown out by Landon for jeopardising the company and gambling clients money away. Willa was told lies by her father about Landon and she sought revenge and tried to find evidence to take Landon out but Landon was quicker than that and figured out her plan. He’s in love with her and is very possessive and jealous. One day as works under a fake name he catches her trying to find something and he tries to help her and she hits her head and passes out. She wakes up in his apartment and is flustered and they do the deed. He asks her to marry him while just having finished sex and she’s startled by his question. He goes to run her a bath and she leaves because she felt overwhelmed with emotions. Her emotions are too much and she feels as if she’s doing something wrong but she’s not and her best friend makes sure of that. He comes to her college with coffee and a lot to say. She agrees to marry him and they have a kid named June. And they’re still horny as fuck.

I liked this story a lot. Even though there was angst, I felt like it was very little and easily resolved.
Willa's dad’s best friend would give her a cherry-flavored sucker, pat her on the head and call her angel when he visited. He was one of her favorite people. One day, that all changed. She wasn't allowed to say his name and he didn't visit anymore. When Willa turned eighteen her dad told her the truth as to why Landon wasn't in their lives anymore - he cheated her dad out of a lot of money. Deciding to do something about it, she borrows a friend’s ID and gets an internship at his firm. Willa figures that she will be able to find proof of what he did and then use that to make him pay. She finds out that not only does Landon still call her angel but when he does, it makes her feel warm inside.
I loved how Landon took care of Willa and looked out for her. Landon and Willa's chemistry was off the charts and highly combustible. Willa's roommate and friend Juliet was the best kind of friend, supportive but also calls her on the B.S. Juliet cracked me up with her "man juice" comment to Landon. I loved Landon and Willa's happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Hot revenge
This romance is well written, very hot and designed with an interesting choice: It is both an instalove without being one. The relationship between Willa who wants revenge and Landon who is guilty in her eyes, is immediate, but they have known each other for years. The author handled the writing of the character of Landon rather well, which could have had an unhealthy side because he knew Willa from childhood and that he secretly helped her with her studies. It is clearly noted that he discovered her differently at the age of 21, which changes this point.
Willa had a difficult childhood because his father would have been ousted from the spectacular success of Landon, a important CEO of a technology company, while he would have written the codes used to make the company successful. She lived in misery with an alcoholic father and a strong desire for revenge. However, as soon as she meets Landon whom she has not seen since childhood, she understands that taking revenge will be difficult, especially since the interest that this man has in her is much stronger than she could have think.

Great fun to read! At first, I wasn't sure if I was going to like this book. It starts off with a revenge plot, which I'm generally not fond of reading. But Megan Wade worked her magic and I loved it! Willa has been told all her life, by her alcoholic degenerate gambler father, that his best friend cheated them out of their share of his mega tech company. But unbeknownst to Willa, Landon has been watching over her from a distance her whole life, making sure that at least monetarily she has all the opportunities available via scholarships. Willa gets an internship at Landon's company, determined to find the proof that will prove he cheated her father. Although she shows up using a false name, Landon knows who she is due to facial recognition software. But his first time seeing her in years as and unexpected result! Fortunately, Willa is not a very good spy, and Landon is willing to do anything for the beauty who has captured his heart. Alpha uber nerd boss meets sweet, clumsy, smart intern in this wonderful instalove!

It began with a sucker---cherry, to be exact! We meet Willa and she's on the "hunt" or at least she's going to use a fake identity to bring down Landon James. Mr. James, according to Willa, has stolen her father's company and money and therefore, has stolen from her. Sounds like a mess, right? Well, you don't become the head of a tech company without having a few skills. From the moment she enters James Tech to begin her internship, he knows she's pretending to be someone else. So we go through Willa's need for "justice" on behalf of her family and Landon's struggle not to claim her from the moment he sees her. You'll have to read to find out what happens next.
Megan Wade has done it again! Another feel good Valentine's Day story that is easy-to-read, steamy, and has all the right feels!! It doesn't take too long to read and it will put a smile on your face. Willa and Landon were a perfect combination of sweet, sassy, and steamy! What more would you want?

This new book I'm reading is by Megan Wade, it's a love story about a older man and a younger woman, falling in love, it featured Willa Quinn and Landon James.
When Willa was young, Landon worked with her father as partners, to developed a program that would become a social media platform, Landon stolen the original coding from Willa father as his own, leaving Landon a very rich man and Willa father very poor and a broken man. Now Willa is at James Teck, working as an intern, under a fake name and has one goal in mind, to complete her mission and take out her revenge.
Landon has known Willa since she was six years old and would see her every time he would visit her father, James, to work on their project. Because of James gambling problem and because his debtors where coming for Landon to pay up, Landon had to brake up the partnership, fearing he would lose everything and thank goodness he did since he come up with The Round Table, but he did try to help James.

Sucker
Megan Wade is very quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. Her stories are short, sexy and flaming HOT!!
Sucker is an older man younger woman, instalove, Father's (ex) best friend, revenge, and an instaeverything all wrapped up in one OTT sickening sweet little package! The last time that Landon saw Willa she was around 6 years old. She remembers that he always have her a Cherry sucker. Fast forward 16 years and Willa, using her roommates ID, seeks out Landon's company for an internship. Woooo there were so many sparks flying I'm surprised that the whole building didn't go up in flames! These two frenemies have a lot to overcome to get to their Happily Ever After but they do get there!
Sucker is 100% safe and free of any kind of abuse, cheating, ow/om drama. Celibate Hero and virgin heroine. If you love your hero's over the top and a happily ever after is a must then I definitely recommend this (and every other) book written by Megan Wade.
