Years after the deaths of his mother, father, sister, brother, brother-in-law, and unborn child, Pastor Kristian Kincaid still feels the impact of their loss in his life. Living with Grief shares how, after what feels like a lifetime, grief is still real and wholly present for many. Yet Christ, the ultimate Comforter, provides strength amid the unexplainable pain and burden of loss.
Very poignant and timely topic as our society faces deep wounds of grief. My recommendation for a lay reader (non-Clergy) would be to read the introduction, skip to Chapter 2 and read in order through Chapter 7. Then read Chapter 1 and the Conclusion. Chapter 1 is full of Biblical reference and written more to a Pastoral audience (care techniques), and made more sense to me to read it at the end instead of the beginning. Thank you, Pastor Kincaid, for this treasured resource.
