4 ½ Here and Now Stars
Only for You is book 2 in the Sugar Lake series by Melissa Foster and the series revolves around the fun loving Dalton family in the small town of Sweetwater. Bridgette Dalton is a young widow raising her son, Louie. Her life is devoted to her son and her flower shop, until she meets Bodhi Booker, her new neighbor.
Bodhi is in Sweetwater to fix up his Mom’s new house before he is off for training. He is definitely attracted to Bridgette, but he doesn’t want to start a relationship because his job is so dangerous.
I absolutely adored these two. Bridgette was sweet and funny and Bodhi was swoon worthy alpha with a big heart. Louie was adorable with his kid thinking and questions. Plus they were Yankee fans… WIN!!!
This is a great addition to the series and I can’t wait to get my hands on the next one.

This was a cute but I'm not fond of misunderstandings or assumptions in books.
They both spend the first 30% making assumptions about each other. It drove me mad.
Hero pushed her away because he didn't want to leave anyone behind if he got hurt or if he dies so he was scared of loving someone and heroine was scared because she didn't want fall in love and lose that person again.
Heroine has some embarrassing moments that had me rolling my eyes. She was also a walking horny wet mess for the hero. She couldn't even see him with no shirt without becoming a mumbling mess.
I don't think I've read a book where the hero and heroine mutually decided to break things up because they were scared. I knew they told me their reasons but I just couldn't understand why, really. The spent the majority of the book with telling each other they had an expiration date. They had both fallen in love but they didn't want to make it work. That just annoyed me. Don't get me wrong I liked them both as a person and the hero was a very good hero, I liked how he loved her son and her. But at times I felt like that love wasn't big enough for him to say "screw it, I love her so much that I will make it work"

This was very sweet! The H was great with the h’s son and the romance was mostly angst free. What bothered me was this-
Heroine’s 5 years of celibacy is referred to as being a long time which I totally agree with
Hero’s 8 months of celibacy is also referred to as a long time with no sex- I don’t agree with this!
Why this crazy double standard? I’m sick of it! Men don’t need sex to live and if they need an orgasm that badly they can use their hands. Don’t keep telling me the hero doesn’t sleep around anymore when it’s only been 8 months since his last ONS. If he has changed from his whore ways of his early twenties and he is now 34 I expect a few years of celibacy at least. If he is still having ONS with strangers then he hasn’t really changed!

Bridgette Dalton was a young widow and single mom. She had her forever love, even if only for a short time, and she was content raising her son, running her flower shop and sharing life with her parents and siblings.
Bodhi Booker was the sexy new neighbor who was temporarily in Sweetwater remodeling a home for his mother. He was also former military and a current rescue mission operative. He lost his father to the military young so he vowed to never have a relationship with his dangerous job.
Foster took us through the meeting, the explosive draw and a quick relationship burst with the knowledge of an expiration date. And through in an adorable, funny kid and who wouldn’t be hooked. The plot wasn’t unexpected nor unpredictable but it was sweet, steamy and enjoyable.
True to form with Foster’s writings, I loved the family dynamics. The Dalton’s were close knit and I can’t wait to finish the series with each of them. Up next is Talia in Love Like Ours.

Only for You by Melissa Foster is book Two in the "Sugar Lake" series. This is the story of Bodhi Booker and Bridgette Dalton.
Bridgette is a young widow with a son who is trying to make ago of it in Sweetwater. There she has her family and starting a new business. Bridgette ends up meeting Bodhi who is in town fixing up a house that he has bought for his Mother. Bodhi doesn't seem to do relationships due to his work. But he is attracted to Bridgette and she to him. Bridgette also has been hurt and wants to protect her son but how long can they fight their feelings? No long for sure.
Very sweet romance that is hard to put down.

Only for You was a cute book. My favorite character was probably Louie because kids say the darnest things. I laughed so hard at the end of this book because of what he said - I almost died.
Okay, so this book is the second installation of the Sugar Lake series. In it, you will meet Bridgette and Bodhi. Bridgette is a single mom to the cutest boy ever, Louie, and she owns a flower shop. Then there's Bodhi who is the handsome/sexy ass neighbor of hers and he's in special ops.
Of course these two have some attraction towards one another and they were definitely starting to hit it off. I guess the one thing that they liked was the whole "no strings attached" part of their relationship. Well, one thing led to another and they started to fall for one another. Hard.
There was some drama in this book but it was more about work than anything. They didn't like being apart from one another - so their little reunion was kind of bittersweet. Once that day came, it's like their entire pause on the relationship was forgotten.
If there was one thing I could/would change about this book.. it would probably be the last chapter (before the epilogue). I just feel like they zoomed into an engagement. I get that they were on a break of sorts.. but damn, that was quick!
Other than that, it was a cute book. I can't wait to dive into the next one!

Bodhi Booker doesn't need a distraction in getting his mothers house setup for her, but his temporary neighbor and single mom Bridgette Dalton is becoming one. Bridgette is wound tight with work and raising her son and everyone things she needs a distraction but can she have a no strings attached affair with Bodhi? When feelings become involved will they both take a chance on seeing where they could lead or is it over before it really starts.
I loved Bodhi, his name, his character, just everything about him. You want this couple together from the beginning but both are fighting their attraction for one another. Charming story that pulls you in from the beginning, can't wait for more in this fantastic series.

Only for You by Melissa Foster is a beautiful, heartfelt contemporary romance and I loved it.
I loved the storyline, it was well written, the plot was entertaining, heartwarming and I loved Bodhi and Bridgette. They were likable, endearing characters that I easily connected with and they warmed my heart watching them come together. These two brought a smile to my face, I enjoyed their honesty and enjoyed their friendship. Bodhi made my heart explode watching him with Bridgette's little boy. These two had a special and loving relationship that added to my overall enjoyment of Only for You.
Once again author Melissa Foster has written a beautiful, heartwarming read with wonderful, relatable characters that will touch your heart with their story and leave you with a smile on your face.
Only for You is a great addition to the Sugar Lake series, each book can be read as a standalone and I highly recommend them.

This book was absolutely fantastic. It hit me in the feels in the best way. Bridgette and Bodhi were impossible not to love.
Bodhi and his gruff exterior was instantly appealing because I wanted to know what his story was. Learning what his history and present were moved that appeal to me being his full blown cheerleader and wanting him to have the wonderful family he was on the verge of having with Bridgette and her sweet little boy.
Bridgette was this fiercely strong, loving, and just amazing character. She had already suffered through so much heartache and pain so I didn't blame her for not wanting to risk being hurt again. Plus she also had her son's feelings to consider. But seeing the chemistry and just all around happiness Bodhi brought them both, I kept reading in hopes the the author would find a way to give both of these characters what they needed.
In the end every thing was perfect but the journey and experiencing through words everything this book had to offer was the best part. I look forward to the rest of the Dalton siblings getting their own stories.

Good God this was a terrible book!!!
I seem to have some sort of homing device that just directs me to truly horrendous romance books with the most god awful plot, characters and God in heaven what was this writing????
If you told me cardbox boxes came to life and started functioning as the humans in this book i would believe you cos that's how stiff the writing was.

This was my first time reading Melissa Foster and I was pleasantly surprised by the sweet romance and the ensuing ultra steamy scenes! Bohdi and Bridgette burned up the sheets with their “friends with benefits” idea, and I loved how things backfired on them. I enjoyed the closeness of Bridgette’s family and cracked up over Bridgette’s son Louie, because who could resist a precocious five year old full of sweetness? Bohdi was too perfect, but it’s a romance novel! Where else do you find a ripped guy who can do anything with his hands (inside and out of the bedroom), knows the language of flowers, and reads romance novels?! Bridgette obviously landed herself one heck of a keeper when she crossed paths with Bohdi in her sister’s bakery! Book two in the Sugar Lake series, Only For You easily read as a stand alone.

Bridgette is a widow with a 10 year old son. She is busy raising him and it's been so long since she's had any interest in dating anyone - until Bodhi moves in next door. Bodhi is renovating the house for his mother and isn't interested in dating anyone either. He has a dangerous job that he never knows if he will survive and doesn't feel it is fair to get involved with anyone and subject them to that uncertainty and pain. Fortunately for us, Bodhi and Bridgette can't seem to deny the attraction they feel towards one another. What starts out as a "no strings" couple of weeks, turns into love. Aw!
OK, so I liked Bodhi and Bridgette. One of the sexiest things about Bodhi is how much he falls in love with Bridgette's son, Louie, as well as her. I shipped Bodhi and Bridgette from the beginning, and I saw where how the plot was going to get them together. The conflict/drama took a while to show itself, but we are treated to some good smut in the meantime! Predictable, yes. Still entertaining and hot? You betcha!

I thought this story was okay. It wasnt that I disliked it but it was just okay for me. The story line was pretty cliché but did have some cute moments that make it a little better. I enjoyed Bohdi's character and how he likes reading romance novels to keep his mind busy in the battle field stuff. It really is the only way he could be that thoughtful and caring towards someone but lets me honest does a man like that really exist lol Bridgette was such a good mom and always looking out for what was best for her son. She just had so many walls built up because of losing her first husband. Which is understandable. Now moving on to Louie and Bridgette's family, they are hilarious. Louie's comments, being oblivious to romance had me laughing. Her mother and her magical lotions and oils was hilarious. Always trying to get Bodhi to seduce her daughter with her hand cream haha

Okay, so Melissa Foster has always come thru for me. This story was no exception.
This story was gloriously sweet! I wanted to come up with a more eloquent word, but I kept coming back to sweet. I just smiled a heck of a lot when I read it and my heart was happy all the way thru. The relationship between Bodhi & Bridgette was very relatable and I connected very easily with them both! Bodhi's connection and interaction with Louie warmed my heart to no end. This story was the total package you guys! It had heart and warmth and growth and friendship and family and love ... so much love! I cannot sing this woman's praises enough!

5 Sweet & Swoon Worthy Stars!!

This book was absolute perfection. Sweet, swoon-worthy with just the right amount of angst. Only For You had me hooked from the very first page. Bridgette and Bodhi were impossible to not fall for. There is nothing I love more than a romance that hits you when you’re least expecting it and it turns your whole world upside down.
I admired Bridgette for doing it all on her own and being the best mom she could be to her son Louie. She was hard-working and so loving, but just needed to remember how to live and how to a woman again. Bodhi was just the distraction she needed. The sparks between the two of them were immediate, but Bodhi’s walls were higher than ever. He never wanted to let anyone in and never wanted to make promises he couldn’t keep. However, Bridgette might just be the one to make him break all of his rules…..
Only For You was a terrific read from beginning to end. Bodhi and Bridgette’s story captivated me and made me fall in love. I devoured this book in just one sitting and couldn’t help but fall in love with this story. Only For You is incredibly well written and is filled with lots of heart. I loved Bodhi’s rough exterior and seeing him break down his walls. I loved seeing Bridgette come alive again and take a second chance on love.
Only For You hit all the marks for me. This story made me laugh. It made me swoon. It pulled at my heart. And most of all, it made me fall in love.

Only For You was a terrific read from beginning to end. Bodhi and Bridgette’s story captivated me and made me fall in love. I devoured this book in just one sitting and couldn’t help but fall in love with this story. Only For You is incredibly well written and is filled with lots of heart. I loved Bodhi’s rough exterior and seeing him break down his walls. I loved seeing Bridgette come alive again and take a second chance on love.
Only For You hit all the marks for me. This story made me laugh. It made me swoon. It pulled at my heart. And most of all, it made me fall in love.

This was my second Melissa Foster book, the first being The Real Thing which is the first book in this series. I enjoyed this one just as I did with the first.
I really love the Dalton family and the bond they all have, and I was curious as to if something would happen with Bridgette and Bohdi after his brief appearance in book 1.
The story is a little unusual from others in terms of the couple actually agreeing that their relationship is just a “here and now” thing and has an end date. I totally understand the reasoning behind it though, and the story brings to light the risks that many men and women around the world take when they have jobs like Bohdi’s or in any kind of field like it.
Also the fact that Bridgette has already lost her husband a few years ago, and the book has an undertone of serious and heavy loss. But that being said, it doesn’t mean the book is a sad or emotionally heavy book. Its a fun book about living in the moment and embracing the way you feel and the moments right in front of you.
Bohdi is a really great character once you get to know him and see deep inside his true personality. He’s very easy to like. Bridgette is also a great mother and has a strong personality. And we can’t forget Louie, her adorable little boy. He’s very easy to love.
I also liked the fact that there is no real angst in this. Things move along well when you get to that point which was great. Of course we get lots of Bridgettes family in the book and I’m hoping that book 3 is about her brother Ben. There’s a couple of ways his book could go, so my interest is definitely piqued.
Overall, enjoyed this and would recommend.

Bodhi Booker is in Sweetwater to work on the house he bought for his mother to retire in. Just a few weeks and she can move in and he will back on his way to another rescue mission. It's what he does and one of the main reasons he doesn't do relationships. When he notices his sexy, beautiful neighbor, he is drawn towards her and her precious son.

I've been wanting to read one of Melissa Foster's books for a while now, so when the opportunity arose to take part in the blog tour Only for You, the second book in the Sugar Lake series, I instantly said yes. As it turns out, I'm so glad I did! Only for You is adorable, heartwarming, and most importantly, super high on the steam scale.
Only for You introduces the alternating perspectives of Bridgette Dalton and Bodhi Booker.
Over the course of Only for You, Bridgette takes on several important roles: supermom, business owner, sister, and daughter. Each role introduced a different side to Bridgette, and I loved seeing them all come together. Bridgette is independent, smart, and savvy. She'll do anything to allow her son to have a nice, happy childhood, even if it means denying herself the possibility of a new boyfriend. I always have such a respect for single moms, and that respect was on high when it came to Bridgette. However, I did wish she'd let loose and allow herself true happiness again, especially when it came to happiness with her hottie neighbor. Thankfully, as the book progressed, Bridgette did let loose and find a new level of happiness; however, she stayed true to who she was and that's what I admired the most.
I always love mysterious, gruff, and good-looking heroes, but when you add in romance book lover to those characteristics, my heart is beating frantically! To put it simply, Bodhi was a gem. On the outside, he gives off a tough-as-nails look, but on the inside, he's the ultimate softie. It was heartwarming to see him take on a fatherly role with Bridgette's son, and I especially loved when they'd team up against her. Plus, as mentioned before, I loved that he was a romance book lover. It was such a cute addition to an already lovable lead.
The plot in this mainly revolved around Bodhi and Bridgette's romance. I thought Melissa Foster did a fantastic job of building up there romance. It wasn't too quick nor too slow, and more importantly, it felt believable. I also liked that it wasn't perfect. Over the course of the book, Bodhi and Bridgette deal with their own personal issues that hold them back from falling in love again. I thought Melissa did a great job of making those issues realistic yet not too overly dramatic.
There were two aspects, however, that held me back from truly loving Only for You. For one, I wish more time had been given to Bodhi's career. It was such an important part of who he was yet little of the plot revolved around it. Even at the end the problems involving it were thrown to the side and fixed almost too easily. Second, sometimes it was hard to keep all the side characters straight. Now this may because I started the series with book 2; however, at first Bridgette's sisters blended together, making it hard sometimes to remember who was who.
In all, Only for You is yet another enjoyable romance read! This may be my first book by Melissa but it certainly won't be my last.

This bare repeating John Lane did a fabulous job with narrating another hit from Melissa Foster.
She had been hurt by love and did not want that again in her life. Her son was her priority. So what that the first time to feel sexy in anyway cake from a stranger to town that later turned in to her next door neighbor.
There simple no string just sex for now was how they had planned to play it. When it was time for good byes there was so much more involved than sex. It was family friends hearts and Dahlia.
Now a little more . . .
Only for You had that little extra something that just had me gushing out everywhere. I won’t call it complete emotional melt down but it was touching in its own ways. Bodhi was the man that never ever left any one behind. He may just have to leave the beautiful single mom and her son behind this time.
Bridgette’s life takes a turn when she loses her husband. She makes the decision to return home and family. She made a way for herself and her son. Now it was time for her to have a little fun. Of course, why not have fun with the new sexy stud next door.
Bodhi was only in town to fix the home his mother was to retire to. She was his mission at the moment. At least, until the missions he lived for came up again. He was a man that prided himself on his skills and ability to never leave anyone behind. He also never expected to be pulled in to the world of the sexy widow next door and her son.
Returning back to Sugar Lake and the quaint surroundings and good characters was enjoyable. The romance was building the relationship between the three was sweet. Watching them grow as more was well worth the short time it took to read it. I was transported to a small town with characters and events that gave me a sense of being right there.

You know these kind of stories that make you fee soooo many things at once? Only for You was just like that.
Bridgette was living her life how she thought it should be— taking care of her son Louie, doing great in her flower shop, and being surrounded by her family that she loved very much and who helped her overcome the death of her husband many years ago.
What she didn’t know was that she was missing something else, the sparkle of a new love, being desired and worshiped by someone else. That was, until her neighbor showed up in her life. Feelings she didn’t even know were possible to feel again started changing her, and soon she couldn’t take of this incredibly good looking man out of her head.
Bodhi Booker was the kind of book boyfriends we all love to read about. The military hero who didn’t want to get involved with anyone because of his dangerous career, soon had to review his plans because he couldn’t take his neighbor out of his head.

Their attraction was palpable. Their chemistry off the charts. The only problem was Bodhi was leaving in a few weeks, and for Bridgette to lose another man she loved would be a terrible thing, especially having a child involved in the story.
The mother/son relationship in this book was such a beautiful thing to see, in fact, all the side characters and their relationships made me soon and smile like a fool. I loved it! Louie was such a cute little man. He made this story so much more fun and easier to love.
But there was nothing like seeing the main characters falling in love with each other, knowing their story would have an end. It broke my heart at the same time it was being glued together.

This book had such a powerful message, beautiful words that made me laugh out loud, cry like I was experiencing their story myself, and swoon with such a great romance!
Be prepared to shed some tears, feel yourself hot all over, and fall in love with these characters. It’s 100% worth the reading!

Often it takes something special, like a child's love, to pull us from such a dark & dismal part of our lives. Only the truly brave & strong open themselves up to the pain again. Bridgette lost her young husband in a horrible accident. She's dedicated her life to raising her son & trying to make up for him growing up without a father. She doesn't need a man in her life. Then she runs into Bohdi in her sister's bakery. Now he's all she can think about. What is she going to do?
Bodhi is an ex-soldier that is still running rescue missions trying to save the world. He doesn't want anyone left behind like his father was. He doesn't "do" relationships, only one night stands. 5 Swoony Stars
Holy hell, how have I NOT read anything by this author before!!!!!!!
I am in LOVE.....Bridgette and Bodhi, omg, did I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these two:) My heart is so full of joy right now!!!!!
The storyline was fantastic, the writing was beautiful and flawless and execution of it was brilliant!!! now onto the secondary characters, LOVED them....and I mean ALL of them!
Not gonna lie, as beautiful of a story that it was there were some tough obstacles/issues they both had and at the last part of the book, I was in TEARS, I mean full fledged sobs, my heart was soooooo broken for them both! But boy oh boy did this author ever put my broken heart back together again:)

Be still my heart. Bridgette and Bohdi will capture your heart and pull on every emotion known to man in this book. In true Melissa Foster fashion, our hero and heroine face trials that may seem difficult to some but Melissa knows her characters and what they can handle. We always get our HEA even if certain parts in the book make us gasp, OH NO!
Bridgette, a single mother that is no stranger to heartache. After losing her husband five years ago in a tragic accident when their son was very young, she dusts herself off from the limelight of her old life as a rockstar wife, and heads back to Sweetwater to start fresh. She opens her flower shop adjacent to her sister, Willow's bakery. And finds just the right groove for her son and herself.

Safe, no angst. No cheating.
The h is a widow with 5 to son. The H is in special forces. He was sweet, faithful, so good with heroine's son..very good book.

Melissa Foster does it again! I absolutely loved Bodhi and Bridgette's story. The story was beautifully written and Melissa did an amazing job of making us fall in love with the characters, and Bridgette's son is so adorable! I am also a sucker for single mom stories. When the love interest becomes buddies with the kid, my heart is gone. Bodhi's relationship with Bridgette's son is so cute and I couldn't get enough. Bridgette just wanted a no strings attachment, but with Bodhi, in play, no strings means forever. This is a definite must read and you will love every minute of it!

It was odd to me to read with the omniscient narrator but as the scenes went by I started putting the film in my head. Super sweet this story and its characters. Love to read more!

I think I have found a new favorite series. I think this series might just be my favorite of Melissa Fosters. I absolutely adored every word in this book!! I honestly couldn’t read it fast enough. I also couldn’t help getting sucked into the world of Sweetwater.
Only For You is the second standalone novel in Melissa’s Sugar Lake Series. I think this is my favorite so far. Not only is one of my favorite type of stories, Bodhi Booker was just an outstanding Hero. This story is told in Dual POV in the third person. I love that when reading a book from Melissa Foster, she describes everything so well that you can’t help but feel what the characters are feeling. You get swept into their lives.
What happens when the Here and Now turns into to something more….like forever???
That is the question that is answered in this book. In Only For You we follow Bridgette and Bodhi’s journey. Bridgette is the sister to Willow (Book 1 The Real Thing). She own the flower shop that is connected to Willow’s bakery. Bridgette is a widow and a single mom, who isn’t looking for anything serious. She is focused on raising her son and building her business. But little did she know meeting Bodhi Booker in her sister’s bakery would change her life. Turns out Bodhi is her neighbor, but he is only around long enough to fix up the house he bought for his mom. He is an Ex Special Ops and now goes on dangerous rescue missions, so he has said he wouldn’t put anyone through the pain of losing him. So he doesn’t want to form any connections. Little did he know that when he met Bridgette and her son Louie…his life would change forever. Loved watching these two grow to know each other but trying to fight their feelings. Bodhi was such an swoon worthy Hero. He melted my heart and my panties throughout the whole book. I can’t truly express how much I loved his character…..you just need to meet him.
As I said before these books in this series are standalones, but there are interconnected characters because this series is focused around the Dalton siblings. Each of who will get their own books. So I would recommend reading this series in order, but it isn’t necessary. I think you will just get the full effect of this family by reading them in order. These books are fun and entertaining without a lot of excess drama.
I would 100% recommend this book to everyone. If you love a single parent romance book, with a Hero that will melt your heart and a kid who is just as sweet as pie, then you have to read this book!! One of Melissa’s best books to date….in my opinion.

I enjoyed this one. I thought Bodhi was such a great guy. He was very misguided but he was a great guy nonetheless.
I thought Bridgette was strong and loved how she jumped into things with Bodhi once she got out of her own way a little bit.
And little Louie, was adorable!!! It was just a feel-good book from start to finish!
