This was a miss. There was actually a decent story here but the author would have done better to make it longer and flesh everything out. Instead he made this a quick read erotic harem fantasy. The problem is that there was way to much setup, action and background for a simple erotic story and not enough of the erotic parts. The relationships were so quick and the sex was done mainly to advance the story and not because of any sexual tension. It didn't really work for me.
Bland and forgettable Maybe 2 and a half stars, but I kept drifting off. Then I would reread a sentence or two and realize that nope, I read that right. It wasn't me drifting off, it was the book. -This is a harem series with magic. The MC does not build his harem, he is inducted into a coven of witches and gets instantly promoted. We never get to know any of the characters well. The three female witches are sadly interchangeable. This whole book is vague and indistinct. That might have been the author trying to weave a veil of mystery, But I was mostly mystified by wondering what was going on. Second problem is that I quickly stopped caring what was going on, and just kept reading for the next sex scene. In all fairness Some of this might not be the authors fault. I was reading this on the 4th of July 2021 and my neighborhood sounded like a freaking war zone. I may have been distracted by 5 hours of continuous explosions. (I've never heard anything like it in my life. It was like the grand finale of a fireworks show from all sides for hours.) Yeah, so this book. Pretty flat, lots of sex, not much chemistry. Interchangeable characters. lack luster world building. I started reading the next book out of forward inertia and laziness simply because it was already cued up.
I dont really get it. Theres so much stuff the characters knew that caused me to think “how did you know that”. I couldnt get through the whole “woman falling at his feet” vibe. I dont know, other reviews for this book honestly confuse me
2 stars cus though I didnt enjoy it, and dnfed it, I still made it to 66%
I read a lot of Harem lit., and this was eye rolling for me in several spots. I will check out Mr. Storming's next book in the hopes he develops as a writer.
Wow this is a wonderful book wish it was a little longer. It was full of action and once it started kept me on the edge until the end can’t wait for book 2
Keep your mind open and always hope the best of others and one day a Goddess may choose you to save the world. A coven of witches is Not as scary as fables foretell. Sometimes they need you as much as you need them and together a mighty force can be born.
Yes this story is just like that. Sure this 19 year old virgin has to have sex with a goddess and 4 beautiful women, but ya, there is a good story too. I enjoyed it and would like to see more.
Of course it is a fantasy and rather short so don't expect realistic time-lines. Although it is pretty good, liked the folklore, and the fact the he went with a slightly darker look upon legends (no sparkling vampires or "good" werewolves.) The only thing that I snorted at Elves been "good", as most Elves in stories are portrayed as haughty and racist(Fae Nazi pretty much). Anyway, if you like D.R. Rosier you'll like Nick Storming.
Really enjoyed reading this first book. The whole story was presented at a fast pace with little or no lulls. The good characters were endearing and the evil ones flat out ugly which made the tale more fun as they were swiftly dealt with. I see where this could be a must read series, especially if you read for pure enjoyment. I definitely recommend this beginning book.
I like this story, it's a bit rough has a nice flow
I enjoyed this very much. The story flows really well, and the characters are written pretty well. I still get annoyed by the "well met" and "on the morrow" euphonisms, but it's tolerable because every author uses that so you have to overlook it. It's just a pet peave of mine, and my own opinion so don't mind it.
This was surprising was expecting a witch craft and sorcery story but got much more the story is about a guy that is basically a loner he turns out to be the King and is very powerful I recommend this book and can't wait for the second book in the series
The MC was not a simpering fool. Such a nice change, and one long over due. Too many authors write an MC that is basically a cowed simp that is lead around by the jewels.
This is a good book. You shouldy read it. I like the story. The characters are fun. The book is a good read. i enjoyed it alot.. Download or buy it today. why not?
A bit simplistic but entertaining. A couple of nice plot twists that made it better than expected. Fantasy sex, not really realistic, but it matches the story.
I cannot recommend this book and you wanna know why because the main character is a sitting child immature and he does not deserve the power that was made to him in his ascension by the goddess. I am so sick of what the woke generation has done to people especially offers who feel like they have to feel guilty about a man having power and then they always have to apologize because they are the one crowned King.
This kind of a good story a main character who learns of his birth right at the beginning...... But right when he's subjects start calling him MY LORD..... He freaks out and starts telling them not to call him that that that is weird oh my god he's so shameful for a female to show reverence and respect to a male. He accended to be a king it is right and respectful to call him a lord.
Just don't read this book and waste your money on something else because this book is just silly it's boring it cannot get the plot going correct..... But not only that it's filled with liberal propaganda.
