Dear Reader,

This series is loosely based on actual experiences I had during my years of being a curvy, single woman. The first scene in this book? Yep, it happened to me. But with these stories, I get to write what I wish had happened. I hope you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoyed writing them.

Good

This was a really sweet story. Dahlia is ditched on her blind date when she went to get a coffee. The bigger surprise is there is a hunk of a man in his place wanting to take her out. Dahlia has lived her entire life being put down by her mother because of her weight. Because of this Dahlia is suspicious of Bishop’s affection. Bishop is gone for Dahlia the moment he meets her. He is determined to show her she is perfect for him and the most beautiful woman he has ever seen.

Safety and Spoilers
Completely safe. No ow drama, tiny om drama. Drama with h’s mother. Both are non virgins and their pasts are not mentioned. h’s mother does verbally abuse her daughter but disguises it as love and concern.

This is a wonderful book. This is the first thing by Liz Fox I've read, but I'll definitely be reading more! Dahlia is a sweet woman, one beaten down by the constant criticism of her mother and the unkindness of males to a curvy woman. She strives to make her way and maintain a positive attitude. Bishop is a big, alpha tattoo artist with his own scars from a father that liked to hit his mother. They meet when Dahlia is ghosted in the middle of a coffee date, and Bishop tries his best to make her feel better, having seen the whole incident. Dahlia has issues, mostly relating to how she is treated by her mother. Bishop is determined not to let her slip through his hands, having decided she was the one for him the moment he laid eyes on her! I love how Dahlia fought for hears, making a conscious choice to trust in Bishop. And Bishop made me fall a little in love with him when he conspired with Dahlia's best friend to show her how much she means to him. Here's hoping that Dahlia's best friend Evie gets her own story!

This sweet and steamy, quick read romance is definitely a feel good one as well. It’s about a beautiful curvy girl, Dahlia, that goes to meet up with a guy she has corresponded with over emails a couple of times, when she arrives and waves to her date he ends up ditching her when she arrives to the table. But a handsome man (Bishop) has taken his place, explaining that he saw what the douche did and would love to make sure she had a wonderful evening. The sparks fly between the two and their evening ended too soon. Bishop wants to continue with their budding relationship, knowing this gurl is the one but will Dahlia’s insecurities end up ruining something that didn’t have a chance to begin?

I loved this story - the way Liz write Dahlia made her so relatable and I loved that Bishop was a persistent and kind gentleman. The storyline flowed smoothly, even with the short length. I am definitely looking forward to reading more books by Liz thanks to this one!

Timing is everything, Bishop learned that the easy way. As he’s coming in for a coffee and she’s a jerk leaving Dalia and she’s getting her coffee from the counter. To save her from her tears and get to know her better he takes her out to Mini golf a few streets down the road. He can’t believe his luck about how natural he feels around her. He’s captivated by her curves and her kindness and her willingness to try. Dalia who’s been physically emotionally abused hey serious doubts before he, bishop makes it now that he was not doing a pity rescue but was genuinely interested in her. This nice short journey takes us to an assumption of HEA. It could be a cliffhanger for a book for her friend Evie.

Right On Time was an enjoyable short story. That was not only sweet but had likable characters, and a sexy moment or two. However, that connection and spark of chemistry between main characters Dahlia and Bishop wasn't quite there, which was a shame as for me that's what helps sell a short story, especially one that is billed as instalove. But even so this was a well written, and paced debut novel, that I found extremely engaging to read, and I honestly could've read more from Bishop, Dahlia and Dahlia's best friend Evie. And so, I would happily recommend this story to others, and will certainly be looking out for the next in book in The Right Men series.

The couple: Bishop and Dahlia

Romance genre: insta-love
Series: The Right Men
Length: 40 pages

Plot: Dahlia meets Bishop when he swoops in after a bad almost-date. She's smitten, he's smitten. Now she just has to get past her own insecurities.

Character development: I loved Bishop! He was great, the way he strutted into Dahlia's mom's home and claimed Dahlia - slayed her dragons, really. And his tattoo - perfect! This was a great short read.

Of all the women I’ve known, none has struck me dumb like this one...with just a kiss on the cheek. Her sweet and spicy scent lingers as she climbs into her hatchback and drives away. Dahlia better watch out. Now that I’ve met her, I can’t imagine my life without her. I feel like a live electric current is flowing through me, and the only way to get grounded is by losing myself in her arms.

Super sweet story! Who doesn’t love a man rescuing a damsel in distress. Dahlia meets her blind date at a coffee shop, he takes a look at her curvy figure and leaves when she goes to order her coffee. Bishop seeing what the jerk does steps in and offers to be Dahlia’s date. He is very attracted to her. They go on their date and begin to see each other. A little drama from Dahlia’s mother, who is very critical of her because of her weight. Bishop again is a hero, supports Dahlia against her mother. Cute epilogue 1 year later with Dahlia waiting to tell Bishop about their growing family.

When Dahlia meets Bishop it's definitely not under normal circumstances but he saves her from a humiliating experience and makes it his job to turn it around. Instant chemistry is often difficult to understand and for some to believe, but this story though short seems to make it work. Everyone wants a Bishop for themselves and if you don't, jokes on you!

A great love at first sight romance

Dahlia, a curvy administrative assistant, is rescued by Bishop, a buff tattoo parlor owner, when her date dashes on her before she even sits down. As the story progresses the rescue leads to an impromptu date, secrets are shared, and years of self-doubt may just wreck the relationship. Liz Fox’s Right on Time is a great love at first sight romance that is just perfect for a bedtime read.

This really is Dahlia's story. Starts out she is going on a 1st date, coffee date gets there sees him they say Hi she goes inside to get her coffee and when she comes out the guy is gone and drives by waving at her. She almost reads down but looks at the table and a hot guy is sitting there smiling at her and starts talking to her. Bishop then asks her to mini golf and the story goes from there. I really enjoyed this Novella, it's an easy read standalone HEA

This was short but such a lovely read, as much as what happened with Spencer at the beginning was awful, I loved how they began 😁 really uplifting story about the bigger girl and how Bishop rightly made her feel beautiful, great read, And Bishops extra epilogue is the icing on the cake! perfect ending! 🥰

Length: Lunch Break Read
POV: Dual
Series: The Right Men #1 (Stand Alone)
Ending: HEA
Re-read? Maybe

"She rises on her tiptoes and braces her hands on my shoulders, reaching up to kiss my cheek and whisper, “Thank you, kind sir.” That’s it. I’m done. This woman is it. With one gentle kiss on the cheek, she sealed her fate. She’s mine. She just doesn’t know it yet."

This was a really cute, sweet, short read. Poor Dahlia gets dumped mid-date but Bishop is captivated by her and comes to the rescue. He's immediately smitten.

There’s nothing more important to me right now than making sure you’re okay. In fact, if you don’t have plans, I’d love to take over the douche’s coffee date.”

Dahlia's self esteem needs a lift and Bishop is there to try to give it to her. Liz Fox knows how to really write the insecurities of us BBWs which I can certainly appreciate. Now, if only I could find my Bishop.

I thought this was decent for a short novella. Another plus size heroine. I know this one is short short short but I still felt it was missing a bit in the relationship development. I'm all for insta-love but this one seemed a bit much for me even.

I will try more in this series however if I'm looking for something short and fun.

Love this!

I absolutely love a story with w strong woman discovering her own strength. Dahlia has insecurities that were ingrained while growing up. Bishop takes the opportunity when her date goes wrong to step in and start showing her just how beautiful she is inside and out. Love a man who’s there to catch you when you stumble. 💜💜

Bishop is there when Dahlia needs him most but her faith in herself is shaken by her mother. This book is ok, Dahlia is way to quick to give up on herself after finding confidence.

Way to short

I liked what I read but there wasn’t enough to read. It could have been a really good story if it was longer. I’ve read Liz Fox before and I like her short stories. I’m just disappointed in the length of the story. Until next time y’all happy reading.

Really cute idea but just too short. I enjoy well written short books that take an hour or two but this was shorter than an hour which doesn’t give enough time to build the story and the end was just too rushed with a less than satisfying epilogue.

Great short story

It was great reading how they met, with the exception of the coffee date creep leaving her in the dust. It worked out fine though and she got a good guy. Her mother could have used some lessons on unconditional love. Enjoy reading stories like this.
