When Katy Kramer discovers a body in the college library, the death appears to be an accident. But like most things in Katy’s life, nothing is quite as it seems.
More deaths occur in Wentforth’s College for Wizards, and with one of Hamish’s former students as the chief suspect, Katy and Hamish are hired to solve the case and clear her name.
There are yet more mysteries which need urgent solving. The Not-So-Strange Society’s influence seems to be spreading throughout the enclave, and only Katy, her friends, and the mysterious Society of Cacklers seem to be concerned.
Hopefully, a trip to Riddler’s Edge can reveal the answers which Katy so desperately seeks.
A.A. Albright lives in the Irish countryside with her husband.
She loves reading in every genre, but writing cozy mysteries is just about the most fun she's had in a decade.

It may look like it took me a long time to read this, but really you need to blame Taylor Swift for that. Announcing and then releasing a new album makes my world stop.
The book itself has a great mystery but the standout is what’s going on with the overall story arc for the series. Things are brewing and I’m bonkers excited to see where it’s going.
A plot that seems to encompass the university and the people within, from two wizards being found dead, a scheme that involves a hidden code and a student under suspicion of murder when a third body is discovered. Plus there is the added strange happenings in the 'nice' part of town. Why does the fountain and the songs make everyone feel happy? What is behind all the hanging baskets? Will she unravel these and find out what and who is behind the killings? Will her relationship with the vampire survive or has he been given a potion to fall for someone else? Will finding out about her hunters toolkit give her any answers? The characters are certainly gaining in stature and giving the story more depth. Especially when they intermingle with the original Wayfarers. Whilst our heroine is getting closer to the truth of her powers and her origins.
I just love Katy Kramer; she's such a charmer and so earnest in her zeal to do right! The interactions between the players are believable and enjoyable, the cameo appearances from other series are welcome, and a romantic shake-up is looking inevitable. The murder mystery yields SEVERAL surprises (some from the past!), but the overriding mysteries regarding current events on Samhain Street and the enigmatic Aunt Jude are where the real intrigue can be found. Mystery No. 4 is set to be another winner!
A. A. Albright has a sense of humour that brings a smile to my face and cheers me up. Her characters are many and varied, with lovely quirks, eccentricities and imperfections. I love the way that characters and places from her other books, are either referred to and/or actively involved; it makes it an almost believable world of magical mayhem! I also enjoy the story strand that underlies all her books - developing in the background and piquing one's interest! I always look forward to her books and the next one in this series is no exception.
I read this book in a day. It was an interesting storyline and the characters were drawn out further. I know many things are left unanswered to get you to buy the next book but a few of the plot lines were left awkwardly dropped. I don't know that I'll read the 4th installment, not right away.
I'm sure how this author does it, but all her books are wonderful and this is no exception! She always leaves me wanting more and I can't wait to see what happens to Katy next!
The third book in this new series is really good and I had a great time reading it. You will enjoy this book as the mystery is sold and a new one is really just beginning.
...And better and better. I'm completely drawn into this magical world. The only thing that can best this feeling I have, is to dive straight into the next book and continue this marvellous adventure of supernatural story time.
I read a bad review on this book, after a while I decided to read it. I’m so glad I did. It’s really good!! Love the characters so much. It’s fun, with humor and such great stories. I hope my review encourages others to read it, because it’s worth it!!
I really enjoyed this. It seems like the Wanda series has run out of steam, but the Katy series - and of course Riddler's Edge - remain diverting and fun.
Wasn’t sure how this book would go, but still love all the characters and wondering how the next three books are going to go. Enjoying all of the books.
Another great story with interesting twists and turns. The picture is coming together, but still so many questions about Jude, Cullen, Ned, and the Society.
Another fabulous story! I love how the author has spun off yet another series from her original Wayfarer series! Katy is such a different character from her other heroines. She's quirky, spunky and loads of fun! I absolutely adore how the author has interwoven all three series without making it necessary to have read the other series (which are amazing). The characters are wonderful, the mysteries engaging and the complex storylines make for an intriguing story! I really can't wait for more!
