Bestselling author and speaker Sharon Jaynes is here to break down what God really thinks about the grand finale of His woman. You’ll discover the lengths Jesus went to during His time on earth to debunk the belief that women were “less than” and declare the truth that women are co-image bears with immense value and divine purpose. Not only did Jesus accept women as they were, but He also challenged them to become more.
You’ll see how to… As Sharon explores Jesus’ encounters with women in the New Testament you’ll witness how He broke the cultural rules of His day to empower and equip God’s daughters for all time—including you today. Their story is your story…and it’s a good one.
Nothing blatantly wrong with this book, but the content and perspective is not unique to other books on the topic. I was waiting for something original or fresh that never came. I also think the author took liberty in certain places that is just not supported by the text. Not horrible, but boring.
Best Christian I’ve ever read!!! Seriously. This book was so interesting. The beginning taught me about all the different women in the Bible and how women were loved by Christ. Then the end part has a devotional and being honest this was the first devotional that I’ve actually enjoyed reading. It showed me verse that I had never heard. Ones that for some reason people aren’t talking about. It showed me some great insight into how women are loved by God and how even in the Bible women had important roles in spreading the Word and being in church. I 100% recommend this. I got it as a confirmation gift. But it is great for any woman young or old. I’m actually about to look at more books from this author that I might read. I seriously enjoyed this book.
I actually really liked the book. What took me awhile to finish this book was because the study guide at the end kind of delayed me since I had to go through the Bible’s verses to get the references for reflecting on God’s intent for the purpose and work of women in His ministry. This book touched my heart in so many ways and has shown me, through its chapters, how much of a feminist God actually is. He loves women and has always considered women as integral individuals to His ministry and the spread of His Word. We all have specific talents God has placed in us to work and come together for His purpose. I hope everyone realized the true beauty and power of a woman through this book by seeing womanhood from God’s eyes. God is so good!
One of the best books I've read! The author is absolutely amazing and takes the stories we all know in the new testament and makes them exciting and relatable. She goes deep into what they might have been feeling and doing. The author does a great job at explaining in detail of how important women were to Jesus and how he treated them as they were meant to be treated, not by people's standards but God's! I have learned so much from this book and it has truly changed my thoughts towards the women in the bible. It also has enlightened my understanding of how much God values me as a woman. Very encouraging and I will recommend to everyone, man or woman!
I love this book and the bible study was an absolute surprise when I received the book. The bible study is one of my favorite parts of the book! I know historically women were to made to be viewed as nurturers and servers, but I feel like they didn’t hold as much appreciation. I love that this book still shows us as nurturers and servers, but Jesus sees us and shows appreciation for us. *My take>> and when Jesus sees us and shows appreciation for us, it’s hard for other not to. And if the they don’t, then know your worth in Christ and gravitate to that appreciation elsewhere.
I didn't like the emotional tone of the book. We need to be rational and thinking when we approach scripture, not base our thoughts on emotions. This was emphasized by the "stories" at the beginning on the chapters that had a lot added onto the Biblical text.
