Super sweet Webtoon! Sailor Moon, but make them mermaids (and mermen). Favourite character by far was Luisant, and although Frasei was your typical magical girl MC, she too was likeable and sweet. The art was really bursting with colour, and as the comic progressed, it just got better and better! All the transformations were amazing.

Even though the plot isn't anything mindblowingly new, it's still enjoyable, and I had a very good time reading this. It's 100% a comfort story now ❤️

The art is really cute and elegant. This is "magical girls meets mermaids". The plot is kinda straight forward but could do with some subtlety.

Young mermaid Frasei is new to the elite Delphinium Academy, and though she has a rocky start, she soon makes friends. However, the bigger issue is that something sinister is invading the sea in the form of a poisonous, sentient, "phantom ink." When it tries to take out Frasei, she discovers that she has a gift she never suspected--she is an "evoluer" or tail-changer; she can change her tail into that of several different sea creatures, and gains different powers accordingly. This is illegal magic, though, so she must keep it secret, even though it turns out that she is the only one who can neutralize the effects of the phantom ink on sea creatures it has corrupted. This is a long-haul battle, though, with lots of adventures both for Frasei and her growing group of friends: Rouge, who has secretly been cursed by the phantom ink and is desperate not to give in to its corruption, Bijou, whose artistic talents come with surprising abilities when she comes into her advanced Delphinium powers, Sage, who was at the merman academy but his magic and desires mean he's a much better fit with the Delphiniums, and nascent Guardian Dolphin Soleil, who has a snappy comeback for everything and always goes around in her floaty to make sure she doesn't sink to the sea floor. Will they ever be able to prevail over the phantom ink?

This is a long webtoon I read on the Webtoons site, and lots of the commenters say it's like Sailor Moon under the sea. I've never read/seen Sailor Moon, but I liked this one a lot. The artwork is stunningly gorgeous, if often a bit over the top (would you really be fighting battles wearing long floating scarves and intricate outfits?), and will appeal to fans of manga and anime. All the characters are stunningly gorgeous, including the bad guys, because, of course. While this is mostly about battling the phantom ink, there are less fraught times when the characters are making friends or learning about their abilities; the relationship that gets the most time is Rouge's romance with a northern sea witch, Koris. The characters are all distinct, and I really appreciated the LGBTQ representation (it seems accepted in this world). There's nothing inappropriate in it, and I especially noticed zero fanservice related to the females--the girls' and women's outfits reveal little beyond navels and sometimes bare arms and shoulders. The men, on the other hand, are all ripped, so there's a little fanservice there! Fine for middle school and above.

yea, i’ll count webtoons on goodreads if i want to.

this one had beautiful art!!

but i wont rate nor critique it since it’s a webtoon that the creator made available to enjoy free of charge. like fanfiction, non-traditionally-published webtoons are a labor of love made with practically no financial gain. when a webtoon is behind a paywall and/or has physical copies available for sale, i’ll rate it.

The art in this webtoon comic is absolutely amazing, and the creativity of the ahthor that went into the story and all the different transformations of each character is incredibly impressive! I overall loved the story, but it was a bit cliché. It is definitely a good read though!

Es bastante previsible y no aporta mucho, pero pasas un rato entretenido y el dibujo está bien hecho, con un toque a heroínas con súper transformaciones de toda la vida

Cute artwork, but there is little consequences in the story. Because of this, the story seems like it is more for a children and early middle school audience.

Read it, loved it, winx club vibes and was there mainly for the artstyle. Worth it.

This didn't really interest me so I stopped reading to find other webtoons. I may come back to it later in the future.

Honestly most of the stars I gave were for the beautiful artwork and sea puns. The characters are rather flat and most of the plot falls into their laps versus them seeking it out. Even so, it had heartwarming themes and seriously BEAUTIFUL art.

The creator clearly loves magical girl comics and this is a great homage to Sailor Moon, W.I.T.C.H. and others that gave the genre it's start.

This art style was absolutely mesmerizing with all the details and beautiful colours. The plot was great but I was really more interested in the art aspect of this comic. I did love how much fantasy was in this story and the mermaid school and defeating evil, it was kind of like sailor moon but like if it was mermaids. Pretty awesome comic and the art was absolutely gorgeous.

One of my all time favourite webtoons and made better by the fact it's not on that ridiculous daily pass system. I reread it to my heart's content! Such a beautiful story with even more beautiful artwork! Couldn't recommend this more!
