Book 1: Finding His Way Home – 4 stars

We have Joshua who has just graduated college and decides to travel from Kentucky to North Carolina to find his birth parents. He had taken an DNA test & it points him to the small town of Bennett Wood. Jay is a long-haul trucker who left Bennett Wood in his rearview long ago. He is finally back in town to get his mother’s home ready to sell as she had died a couple of years previously. Not sure what the scoop was about that, he could have rented it out instead of it staying empty. Joshua & Jay meet in a diner and hit it off instantly and end up sleeping together. Joshua sneaks out the next morning and goes on his way. Jay is toying with the idea of giving up his life on the road and settling down in one place. Both thinks the other is out for a one-night stand & won’t be in town all that long. A little communication goes a long way guys! Joshua & Jay come to an agreement that Joshua is going to help fix up the house and Jay is going to introduce Joshua to the people whom the DNA test pointed him to. What Joshua gets is being told that he was wrong & to get out. Joshua then runs into (I don’t remember his name) someone who is a triplet & it turns out that they are his brothers. At this point, I knew exactly what happened. Joshua meets the triplets and finds out that there is family out there that wants him. Joshua and Jay finally have a discussion and love concurs all 😊 My guess is that how they all are brothers is going to play out in the subsequent books.

Book 2: Finding His Guys – 3 stars

So poor Luck’s family is in the middle of the scandal that we learn about in the 1st book. His father used his sperm to father a bunch of kids. Luke & his mother are feeling the brunt of the town’s distaste and are being actively shunned. This is extremely hard on Luke as everyone he has be friendly with want nothing to do with him, even his 5th grade teacher turns her back. Not sure why the family gets put into the same pot as the wrongdoer. Anyway, Nathaniel is upset that his family is going to be getting rid of the family farm. His dream is to open a sanctuary & he is studying woodpeckers that he sees on the farm. I love Woodpeckers, they are so pretty. Eli comes from the poor side of town & is struggling to make ends meet to continue with college. I enjoyed the fact that any miscommunication was discussed as adults and it wasn’t written as a way to bring unnecessary drama for drama’s sake. I am disappointed that there really wasn’t any interaction between Luke & his brothers. Hopefully that will change as the stories progress.

Book 3: Finding His Second Chance – 4 stars

Alex is one of the triplets that we met in the first book. Griffin was Alex's best friend when they were teenagers. Griffin’s parents kicked him out when he came out to them & he leaves town. Alex did not go with him & Griffin didn't forgive him. When Griffin comes back to twon to open a gallery, he submits his application, which Alex's approves, but the final approval comes from Griffin's uncle who denies it because Griffin's entire family is homophobic. When Alex goes to discuss this with Griffin, they decide to talk to each other and things come to light about what happened all those years ago. I love a good second chance read.

Book 4: Finding His Family - 4 stars

This time around we have Sean, another triplet, who was involved in a serious accident which leaves him with a case of PTSD as well as strong case of anxiety & panic attacks. Hawk is raising his daughter on his own after his husband lives him. I hated him. Sean & Hawk meet on-line & find out that they both have a love a nature. Ellie was a sweetheart. Sometimes kids don't work well in a story, but it worked here.

Book 5: Finding His Revenge - 1 stars

I did not like this one & actually skimmed though it. I didn't like Kit. Also, getting back to Luke, he still won't have anything to do with Joshua but he actually shakes Kit's hand. Why? Joshua didn't do anything to him.

Book 6: Finding His Trio - 4 stars

This triad was so much better than Luke's, maybe because I don't really like Luke. Victor is the last triplet and he has it bad for Rabbie & his husband Grant. This is not the first time they attempted to bring a 3rd into their relationship and Rabbie isn't sure if he wants to try again. Grant is patient, but when they think they are going to lose Victor, they agree to try and it works.

Book 7: Finding His Silver Fox - 1 star

Unfortunately I ended up skimming this one as well as I couldn't stand Cade.

Finding His Way Home: Sometimes life prepares you for the joy that is coming your way. Joshua feels unwanted having grown up in indifferent foster care. He has DNA results that allow him to track family. Jay, living the life of a long-haul trucker loves the life but secretly yearns for a stable home and a mate. Jay is drawn to Joshua and senses his inner needs and feels protective. They meet, feel a connection and enter a relationship not realizing it is just the beginning. The courtship is soothing, intriguing, satisfying and sexy. The characters are nicely developed and show growth. Good job!

Finding His Guys: Luke learned he had several half brothers. His dad, Benjamin used his sperm to help impregnate his patients. This act is now the town's biggest scandal. What was he thinking? Ben, did not treat Luke well after he came out. Luke is best friends with Eli. He struggles to find money to go back to college. Nathanial anothergood friend, a little older,i s struggling to keep his grandmother's farm. Nate saw that Eli and Luke liked each other, he liked both of them. Luke received Nate's flirt. Eli was attracted to Luke and Nate. Do the guys finally figure it out? Can the town handle a threesome? What will the parents say? Good story. Eli, Nate and Luke are nice characters. Good story!

Finding His Sometimes, it's best to go home again! Griff came out of the closet and was rejected by his family. Alex wasn't as supportive as he expected, so he left Bennett Wood. Alex didn't leave with Griff who took that as the last betrayal. Griff, turned his hurt, anger and sense of betrayal to put himself through school and express himself through his art. His first hurdle was working through permit denial for a new gallery from his homophobic uncle. Ironically, Alex works for his uncle. The journey through working things out with his uncle and re-igniting his relationship with Alex was fun. Can Griff forgive Alex? Will his family understand or welcome him? Can he make a success of the gallery? J.P. hits another out of the park! This story was a joyful testament to the power of friendships and a supportive group of friends and family! I received an ARC from Booksprout for a review.

Findng His Family: Sean suffered anxiety attacks after a car accident. He was one of the triplets, Alexander, middle, and Victor. Victor concerned about Sean's fears, but Sean feels he treats him as if he's a youngster. Suggests taking classes about bushcraft. Hawk, his friend, has a daughter, Ellie with his nightmare ex, Jeff. Hawk's mom thinks he needs to date, get out more. Hawk provides Sean with emotional support and transportation services. Hawk has concerns about Sean's relationship with Ellie. Can Sean accept Ellie? What is Jeff doing? Good story. The author handles Sean's anxiety with grace and compassion. Nicely done!

Finding His Revenge: Christopher/Kit is living with a lot of heavy baggage. He is one of Ben's offspring and wants to attend the trial hoping to get a little, closure. Patrick, working at the falconry center with his brother, Michael, keeps an eye on Kit, to ensure he doesn't bother Luke. Kit, stayed at Sean's AirBnB cottage. Why was there no mention of Eli, when all the guys were together? Was he at school? Patrick and Kit developed a friendship on a time limit. Can they talk relationship? Can Kit find closure? Will he try to meet his brothers? Not as connected as the other stories.

Finding His Trio: Victor is the last single triplet. He wants what his brothers and his friends have, a partner. He wants his best friend, Grand and his husband Rabbie. They have been together for 12 years and not averse to a threesome. They like Victor, but Rabbie has baggage from their last attempt, Sam. They have a crisis and Vic offers them a place to stay. Will proximity accelerate the relatioship? Who will make the first more? Lots of unrequited feels simmering. Nice story.

Finding His Silver Fox: Heath has not had it easy. He has built a thick hard shell to protect himself. Cade, an older man is reconciled to spending his life alone. He mentors Heath, who is a young man needing guidance. Heath has a crush on Cade, knowing full well he is older. They each were their own worse enemies. They crushed on each other and let their walls keep them apart. Will they be able to lower the walls and talk. Miscommunications hinder & slow down their progress toward more than mentor/mentee. The baggage issues were intense.Nice story, not as intense as the others.

i read this box set as part of an arc program. This set includes the Benson brothers books Finding His Way Home, Finding His Guys, Finding His Second Chance, Finding His Family, Finding His Revenge , Finding His Trio and Finding His Silver Fox.

Finding His Way Home - This is the story of Joshua and Jay. Joshua is a recent college graduate who grew up in foster care and never knew his birth family. His friends got him a DNA testing kit in hopes of him finding relatives who could help him learn about his family. When he decided to take a road trip to talk to 2 relatives listed on the report, he went to North Carolina. When Joshua arrived in town, he stopped at a local diner and met Jay. Jay grew up in town, but he left to be a long haul truck driver. Jay rarely returned and his mother had passed away, so it was time to clear out her house to get it ready to sell. Jay and Joshua were attracted to each other and after flirting, Joshua went home with Jay. The next day, they saw each other again when Joshua went to the retirement home trying to talk to his aunt and Jay was donating goods. They made plans to see each other again, and became friends. When Joshua told Jay why he was in town, Jay offered to help him talk to the other man on the list. Joshua offered to help Jay get the house ready to sell as a thank you. They became closer and started a fling, which was great for both, because neither was going to stay in town.

Finding His Guys - In this book, Luke and Eli are best friends who secretly love each other, but are scared to admit it. Luke is the son of doctor who was using his own sperm to impregnate his patients and Luke's family is now the topic of a scandal. Luke's parents are also hard on him and his father expects him to either go to medical or law school, even if Luke doesn't want to. Eli was raised by a single mother and is struggling to find the money for college, and he hides the fact they are poor from his friends. Nathanial is older than Luke and Eli, but he is attracted to both of them. When Nathanial asks Luke for help counting woodpeckers at his grandmother's farm, he wants to find a way to stop his parents from selling the farm. All three have problems and they support each other through things. When Nathanial suggests they all get together, Luke and Eli admit their feelings and the thought they all thought about being together. The three decide to begin dating and decide they want to always do things as a triad.

Finding His Second Chance - Alex is one of the triplets that were fathered by the local doctor who used his own sperm to help infertile couples. Alex is gay and works for the town in the planning department and helps run his family's ranch. Alex is quiet and usually a homebody. When his brother tells him he should go out and try to meet someone, he thinks of his best friend fro high school Griff, who left eight years ago and Alex never heard from again. When Griff gets funding for an art gallery, he first had no plans to return to his hometown, but he found the ideal place for his gallery and he decided to return. Griff ran into Alex one day in town and they are both shocked to see the other, but Griff makes it clear he is still angry with Alex. When Griff''s permit for his gallery was overturned by Alex's boss, who is Griff Uncle, Alex goes to tell Griff himself and to try and talk to him to tell him he tried to get the permit approved. Griff decides to talk to Alex and he learned things weren't quite as they seemed the night he left town, and he and Alex get closer. Both Alex and Griff admit to having feelings for the other when they were younger and are happy to see they still do. They begin seeing each other, but not everything goes as well as they hoped.

I really enjoyed the first three books of this series. I thought the idea of a doctor using his own sample to get patients pregnant interesting. I will be reading the rest of this series. great set.

The Benson Brothers (audiobook)
MMy Thoughts and Review:

For anyone who loves a good family series with tons of heart, where each book centers around one couple but builds on the backs of couples from earlier, then these books were tailor made for you.

The books are based in a small North Carolina town and begin when a young man comes to town in search of his roots. He has no idea he is about to topple a very delicate Jenga tower. The scandal that ensues however, opens the doors to one good family drama.

I must confess, I struggled from time to time with knowing whose voice belonged to which character, during the narration. There just weren’t enough dissimilarities between each character’s timbre and speech to tell one from another unless the character identified as female.

The Benson Brothers Collection holds many troupes, topics, and themes too, such as, second chances, friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, new kid in town, small town romance, homophobia, abandonment, and so many more. There is something for everyone in this series.

The Story 4.00 🌟🌟🌟🌟
The Narration: 2.50 🌟🌟. ✨
Overall: 3.25 🌟🌟🌟. ✨

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews to read and review.

📚🎧 Audiobook Review 🎧📚

🎙 Narrator: Gage McKenna

Ratings:

Overall/Narrator/Story: 4 Stars

I cannot imagine the horror of finding out your DNA links you to an unethical doctor, and THEN finding out you weren’t the only one. Six other brothers came about the same way, plus a brother born to the doctor and his own wife. Mind. Blowing. It’s definitely life altering. This series centers on the seven brothers, and their stories of adjusting to this news, and finding love. Each story is different, with it’s mc being one of the brothers, and having different tropes as well. Some even find love in a poly relationship. It was heartbreaking at times, watching them come to terms with it. Especially Luke. He was raised by the doctor. He takes a lot of hate for something he had nothing to do with. My heart ached for him. This series is not all sad; it’s also heartwarming, and made me smile from time to time.

Gage McKenna did a great job portraying the brothers, and finding their voices. I would listen to his narration again.

This bundle focuses on the Benson brothers, their individual stories, and a shocking scandal full of betrayal and devastation. Each book has their own main men as well as others from previous books and the underlying scandal effects, to varying degrees, each story. I found the first 4 books in this series were really well done but the last 3 are lacking.
FINDING HIS WAY HOME 4☆
FINDING HIS GUYS 4☆
FINDING HIS SECOND CHANCE 5☆
FINDING HIS FAMILY 4☆
FINDING HIS REVENGE 3.5☆ too many errors in this book ( like having a trio from a previous book now only as a couple)
FINDING HIS TRIO 3.5☆ did not really feel the connection
FINDING HIS SILVER FOX 3☆ no connection and not as well written as previous books

audio review

Benson Brothers is an amazing bundle of 7 books. In the first book that starts it all Joshua heads to a small town in NC looking for his biological relatives. He ends up uncovering a medical scandal that involved a local doctor, and not only finds his couple of relatives he has names for but several brothers he's also related to. This bundle is so enjoyable as brothers are discovered and love is found. I love how the brothers are so supportive of each other. They give new meaning to family. Definitely recommend. This is a bundle to enjoy again and again. Narrator Gage McKenna does a fabulous job. I really enjoyed listening to his voice through out all the stories.

Overall – 4
Performance – 5
Story – 4

Good value bundle

This was the first books I've listened to by Gage McKenna and I think he did a great job. I enjoyed some of the books in this series more than others but overall, I really liked the whole package.

Book 3, Finding His Second Chance was my favorite of the series. I really like second chance stories and this one was really good. Griff was a great character and I was proud of how he stood up for himself.

A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.

I read the first book of the series and really was impressed. This story with Joshua and Jay was just the beginning but it gave a lot drama that is to come with the rest of the series. Joshua just wants to find his family and Jay just wants to put the past away and move on. These two wonderful people met each other at the right time and what was just suppose to be a "fling" turn out to be much more. Wonderful read and I can't wait to finish the series with Joshua new found brothers.

Greet value for money, also whispersynced.

7 Books for 1 credit wow. Great narration by Gage McKenna, easy to listen to and over 30 hours of audio, what a deal. Did speed it up to 1.15.

I think my favourite was book 2, but all of them were really good.

The story behind the brothers is a scandal but a really great story line. Would recommend to everyone.

This is the first book in the Benson Brothers series! The first book is an introduction to all the players and it can only get better from here. I really enjoyed reading about Jay and Joshua falling in love. The shy smiles and blushes coming to the same conclusions at the same time is so sweet. Now I'm on my way to read Luke's story and you should go start on your set!! "I received this ARC from Booksprout and I am leaving a honest review."

This is a long listen but it is a wonderful collection of stories as you follow the Benson brothers to their HEAs. It was a truly enjoyable read and I liked being able to go from one story to the next seamlessly and following all of the brothers along the way. The narrator did a great interpretation of all of the stories and had a great range of voices for all of the characters. I voluntarily reviewed a gifted copy of this audio book.

These are steamy, dramatic and romantic. As each Benson finds love, we learn more about their father, and come closer to having justice meted out on their father. The storylines are interesting and entertaining, and the characters are likeable and vulnerable. It's a great series.
